HOW can it be? anyone has an idea? i ahev tried to change the setting in battery, but cant work, i mean still no changes.. Thx..

Try calibrating your battery, and resetting the PMU. See these articles for more details:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319 (Resetting the PMU/SMC)
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86284 (Calibrating your computer's battery)
Also, is AirPort or Bluetooth on? If so, turn them off. They waste battery life. And how bright is your screen? The brighter, the shorter battery life.

Tried re charging through the computer and through the power but no response the phone is totally black... Tried connecting to I tunes and no response.. The thing  is that I bought the I phone 5 on the 23 rd December 2012 from Manhattan new York and I live in Qatar and there is no service centre in qatar .. I am now without a phone although I paid 706$ and that's a big amount .. I am disappointed .. I bought an original phone from the original apple store and I ended up with a product that didn't survive for a month.. What quality assurance do the apple have on their products...I need help here

    I appreciate the fast reply.
Well, I checked the iphone and the battery charged going from the bolt to the plug in the upper right hand corner very quickly. On my other cell phones, charging took a REAL long time.
Again, is this normal? I unplugged the iphone from the charger and I am going to monitor the battery power today. I find it odd that the battery would work on standby for 4 days without recharging the battery and then start doing something wacky. Any thoughts?

You replaced the battery yourself or Apple did it?
If you did it, you messed something up.
If Apple did it, take it back.

  • HT4061 my iphone 4 battery went dead then when i went to charge it the plug into itunes came up as its gone into recovery for some reason, itunes is only giving me the option to restore which i dont want to do as i have photos of my babys !! help me !!

please help!! my iphone 4 battery died then when i tried to charge it the plug into itunes came up as my phone has gone into recovery mode for some stupid reason! i have tried tinyumbrella as itunes is giving me no other option but to restore, i dont want to restore as i have very important photos of my babies that i havnt backed up yet and CANT loose!! iv tried holding the 2 buttons intogether but that doesnt work either ! there is bound to be a way around this without loosing my photos. im tamping with apple, this shouldnt happen ! aswell as worring bout loosing all my photos and now i have no phone so am paying for a contract that doesnt even work . please please please helppppppp ! x

If your phone is in recovery mode, all the data on it, including those photos, is already lost.  Leaving important photos on a phone for any length of time, such as baby pictures, as you've found out is a terrible idea.
You've no option but to restore your phone.

  • Ipod mini battery test?

the battery life on my ipod mini is terrible. i don't use the backlight too much or the equalizer and i use the hold switch when i have it off. i heard there is a page on the apple site where they can do a diagnostics test or something like that on the batt life. i can't find the page though. any one know what i'm talkin bout???

If your battery dies or cannot maintain a charge, Apple’s Service Request process will:
    - Replace it for free during the first 6 months of the warranty**
    - Replace it for a shipping charge (~$35) after 6 months and prior to the 1-year period **
    - Replace it for free if you have the additional AppleCare policy (this extends the warranty to 2 years)**
    - Replace it 'anytime' for a $59 charge (was $99 until 7-8-2005)
b This is regardless of where it was legitimately purchased.
i ** See the ‘Battery Test’ link below. This is how Apple determines if the battery is not performing. If the iPod’s battery lasts less than 50% of the ‘up to’ metric, then Apple considers it a problem. For example: This means less than 4 hours for a 1st Gen Mini and less than 9 hours for a 2nd Gen Mini. -- Best to perform this

  • What's this status icon mean next to the battery???

ok, so a new icom right next to the battery just showed up on my phone, and i have no idea what it is.
that's pretty much what it looks like, kinda like a phone hung up on it's base, and 2 rows of dots underneith. It's alot smaller obviously and directly to the left of the battery icon in the top right corner.
I've read through all 125 pages of the user manual and it's not mentioned anywhere, i also went through bout 9 pages of this discussion as well.
someone PLEASE tell me what the **** it is.

  • Battery not functioning?

ON my MacBook that I bought in May of 06, Just recently have I had issues with the power. Lately, I have gotten bout 1.2 hours out of my battery. Just yesterday, have I got 30 minutes out of my battery. I am just wondering if there is anything that I can do to try to fix this. My cycle count is 323, and full charge is 3005. Thanks

Have you tried calibrating your battery? I had similar problems with my macbook (First production batch 2006) that went away after calibration.

I had to do mine twice before I saw any benefit.

  • Macbook shuts down if not unplugged from power but battery charges!

as written in the subject.. i can't get why it's going on. i have a macbook intel c2d and i put a new battery in it. coconut recognize it and from the general infos about this mac i see that the battery is charging and it's in good condition. if i unplug it from the power adapter it lasts bout 1 - 2 seconds and then it dies. i tried to reset the pram and so on. i can't calibrate the battery because i can't use it, i am using the macbook plugged to the power source and the battery seems to be charging fine.
should i think to replace the battery connector to the logic board? obviously my macbook is not under warranty anymore so i would do myself it.
    thanks a lot

Have you had all the firmware installed such as:
    http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/
Also, did you buy the computer between Feb 06 and April 07? Also, check to see how many battery cycles you have on the battery in System Profiler and how long have you had the computer?
It couldn't hurt to try a SMC reset by turning off the machine, unplugging the magsafe, taking out the battery, and holding down the power button for 5 seconds.
Next, reset the PRAM by putting everything back in, pressing the power button to turn it on, and holding down command-option-p-r until it chimes twice.

  • 10.6.2 Poor battery charge persists

I just updated to 10.6.2 on my late 2008 2.53 and the charge still isn't going over 3 hrs at full charge. In fact, I'm sitting here watching it decrease from 3 hrs to 1.1 hrs in about 20 min of use. Almost a 2 hr drop in 20 minutes???
WTH is going on? I bout this new in July and it shows 85 battery cycles

I had a similar problem with 70-75% less than normal battery life after installing 10.6.2. Also, the bottom of my early '09 MBP would get hot and the fan would run loudly. I did the PRAM reset / shut down / battery removal & replacement routine, which seemed to help. But only temporarily.
I've since found that turning off plugins in Safari seems to be the permanent fix. Specifically, I think it's Flash 10.x that causes some kind of runaway process that doesn't show up on Activity Monitor or on the "top" command in Terminal.
So, if you can live without Flash and other Safari plugins, it would be interesting to see if this works for other people. There is apparently a way to run .swf file without Flash, using Javascript, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Apple implements this technology ASAP. (Until Flash is eventually killed off by Quicktime, HTML5, etc.)
    Here's the non-Flash .swf demo: http://paulirish.com/work/gordon/demos/

  • Playbook stuck on 'Battery Level Critically Low' screen.

I know there's 100's of forums about the Playbook's battery problems. Just hear me out, please. Nearly 3 weeks ago, my Playbook died on me. It was stuck at 11% power, I tried charging with the charging it came with, nothing. When it went flat, I tried stack charging. No luck there either. Later, I bout a rapid travel charger, tried stack charging, nada. (I did get the LED activity and sceens the support page mentioned). Leaving it charging for a while, it was able to get the the home screen, but refused to charged. Since my Playbook was able to recieve power when connected to the rapid charger, I connected my Playbook via USB. I made a backup and I wiped the OS through the Desktop Manager because I thought my Playbook was bricked. My problem still wasn't fixed. I forgot that I still needed 20% power to install the OS, and since my Playbook refuses to charge, I'm stuck on a screen saying: 'Battery Level Criticaly Low' with a RED battery icon with a lightingbolt through it, with 0% on top of it, telling me to connect it to a power source, even known its connected to my Rapid Charger. I have no idea what to do now. Disconnecting the Rapid Charger immediatly shuts-off my Playbook. I also noticed something wierd. If connected to a Rapid Charger alone, when I disconnect it while a RED battery icon appears, it shuts-off right away, I don't get the icon telling me to reconnect. But when I have to connected to the Rapid Charger AND my PC via USB, I get an icon telling me to reconnect to a power source when I remove the Rapid Charger. My problem still remains. Even if a leave it charging while connected to my PC, and it boots-up, I still get the 'Battery Level Critically Low' screen. It still shuts-off when I disconnect the charger. Any tips? I've tried the Jump-Boost, stack charging and the 'Battery Characteristics' page wasn't much help either. My Playbook is still alive, I just need to find out how to make it charge. I'll draw a diagram of what's happening and post it here if you need it.

Assuming the rapid charger is the three pin magnetic type made by Blackberry, that charger almost always will charge a good playbook. Disconnecting the rapid charger should give the same red battery icon, but it doesnt. As it seems neither route will charge it I suspect the battery, the battery strap or the motherboard has a dry joint. If you cant get to it and find it by removing the back of the playbook, I would assume its days are over.
If so the backup will be of no use unless you can get another playbook.
Last resorts before getting out the spudgers...
Leave on rapid charger overnight.  Press power button for 20 sec every so often next day whilst on charge.
    Or
Leave connected to a non sleeping laptop usb overnight. Playbooks in standby will usually accept a trickle charge that way.
    Sarah.

  • Battery never fully charged

I got an iPod touch last saturday and i noticed that when chargeing the battery gets to about one thin line away from fully charged and then never finishes charging, but when unplugging it shows a full charge, and sometimes if I plug it back in it'll either go back to a line away from 100% or show the plug symbol (full charge)
    Any ideas?

i now know about the quick and full charge. Quick charge is now represented as one thin line away from 100%, while full charge (leaving the ipod charging for a bout an hour after you reach the thin line will show the plug symbol).

J'aimerais savoir si cela est normal, même quand j'éteinds mon ipod touch 5ième génération, la batterie se décharge quand même lentement et complètment au bout de 3 ou 4 jours, est-ce normal?

    Google translate.
I wonder if this is normal, even when I éteinds my ipod touch 5th generation, the battery will discharge slowly and still COMPLETELY after 3 or 4 days, is this normal?
If the iPod is sleeping (not slide to power off), it is normal for the battery to completely drain in a couple of days.

It runs on battery power but shuts down between 10% and 50% of usage. I had to replace my adapter after accidently kicking it while it was plugged into computer.  Since I bought a new adapter the battery indicator shows that it is charging until full charge.  The battery is bout two years old.
