Hi,a question about transportation of translation of selection screen?

Hi Experts,
I am working on an ALV and there is a selection screen for it, and I have translate the texts in the selection screen and can they be transported while the program is transported to another system? if not how can I transport the translations, thank you much.

Hello ,
Please follow the below steps for transalation ..
- Complete your development and release the same .
- Always have the Translations which u can do wtih SE63 tocde and have them within a specific transport request (Recomended Transport of Copies) .
Now u release the TR of translation then everything wil work fine .
Ensure always Translations TR is younger than Development TR withrespect to their creation and Releases ....

Translation of selection screen

I am translation a selection screen from english to spanish. The selection text is 'Sold to Customer Number'. When I try to translate to Spanish, the translation gets chopped. Is there a limit on how many characters can be displayed on the selection screen. Or does the translation have to be atmost the character size of the original english version?

Question about transport layer

Hi folks,
I would to know if anyone has some information about transport layer between two tenants, eg: Test Tenant and Productive Tenant.
I suspect that deployment on Productive Tenant requires manual deploy with HANA Studio (or eclipse + hana cloud platform plugin).

No, there is no such transport system in HCP. Actually, you've probably noticed that we don't bind you to a particular DI (development infrastructure) - e.g. it's up to you to choose what version control system suits you best - be it Git, CVS, SVN, Perforce...
For Java apps - hope I already answered your question above.
For XS apps - AFAIK, you have to import your sources into a HANA repository package and activate them.

Question about transport

Hi all
What is the aproach to transport XI desing , configuration and mapping objects.
If we develop a scenario for a customer in our own XI server and we want to implement it in the customer Xi server after it is finished , then what objects do we have to transport and how we can do it.
what about the tech. and business systems , do we have to create them in the customer machine or just transport them.

After completing the development you can transport the object by 2 way.
1. File Transport method
2. CMS Method
In Integration Repository object:
Right click on the Namespace which you want to send to Quality system and select the export option and export it....this will create a .tpz file on the server following path
usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxi
epository_serverexportsample.tpz
Above file will be copied and pasted in following path
usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxi
epository_serverimportsample.tpz
Similar procedure for directory
Right click on the configuration scenarion in development which you want to send to Quality select the export optin and export it....this will create a .tpz file on the server following path
usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxidirectory_serverexportsample.tpz
then login to the IR of the quality select the Tools ---> Import option you will get this tpz file and import it and activate.

A question about transport of the change to InfoSet

Hello Expert,
I made a change to the infoSet MMIV03 by Transaction SQ02 and add MKPF-USNAM into the field group INVENTORY MANAGEMENT. Then I clicked Save button, but there is no pop up window to ask me to save into transport. I clicked "Generate" button, and there is no popup window,too. I create a new infoset and the system aslo doesn't ask me to save into transport.
I need to transport the change to testing system, can any expert tell me how to include the change into transport?

Dear John,
try this, when you are in SQ02. Go to SAP Menu "Environment" and then "Transports". Choose "Transport InfoSets" and selects which InfoSets you want to transport. Then Execute with F8.

A question about transport orders simultaneous

Hi, we are having a problem in a long time ago. Sometimes when two users import a order each, the transport system hangs (we solve this hang deleting orders and killing tp processes).
We need to know:
1.- Why this occurs some times (and not in all times)? Or what can the reason be?
2.- We can do anything to avoid those situations?

Question about transport system configure

I have two system dev & prd, the prd is domain controller, the router is from dev to prd.
I want to delete all transport configure and reconfigure it.   Now I login to prd 000, and delete dev from transport system, and use se06 to initial the stms, then I go to stms, the configure has been initialized.
But when I login dev000, the two systems configuration and the transport router is still exist in stms and I can not use se06 to inital it.   I am sure that in prd 000, the configuration has been deleted succussfully.
the configuration is still exists in dev000, and I can not do any operation from dev000 which is not domain controller, and the real control prd000 has been delete by me.
I try to use se06 , but after reinstall cts, I can still see the configuration in stms.
Could you give some solutions , Is there any problem with my operation?

you said PRD is the domain controller and successfully you
deleted previous configuration in PRD ,now login into DEV and
in the same delete the cofiguration in DEV too.when everything
is cleared you start from the first and start adding DEV to the
domain PRD.hope this helps.

Question about dock bar when using external screen

Hey.
For a while now, I have been using an external monitor with my 24" iMac. It has been running fine and the dock bar has been on the iMac's display along with the menu bar.
Today, I switched it around and when I plugged the screen back in, the dock bar moved over to the external screen, leaving the menu bar in the iMac's display :S
I have tried looking at the Screen settings, but so far it has not helped. I have tried unplugging the screen and putting it back in as well as trying to put the menu bar to the external display and back to the iMac's to see if the Dock bar followed. Alas, nothing happened
Anybody have any idea what I need to do? Kind of a drag to have my dock bar on my lousy 17" screen... Thank you

Question about smart albums - where does selection criteria operate

i maintain several versions of any given image. one for local printing, one for book printing and one for web; each with a different onscreen proofing profile. the versions for a given image are all in the same stack. put an appropriate key word (e.g. for book, for web, etc.) on each version in the hopes that i could create smart albums searching for the key words i wanted. it appears, however, that the search works only on the "pick" image in the stack. am i correct in this assumption?

TS2755 Good morning I have a question about my IPhone4 and text messaging screen.

My touch screen is frozen( locked up) when it comes to trying to scroll up and down to check text messages and to delete. I cannot access them at all. The rest of the phone and features are operating and functioning properly. Just issues with the text messaging option. Any suggestions?

About table control in the selection screen

i want to create a table control in the selection screen of my report.i can create the table control using SE51.but how to program with the table control in the report.for example i should fetch the data for the personnel nos entered in the table control of the selection screen.how to do this.can any of u provide sample code for this.

Create internal table and create table control using same internal table
e.g.
data : begin of it,
end of it.
start-of-selection.
call screen 100.
If you create table control using wizard then code automatically come here.
Now, Put one push button in same screen where table control is available. let's say push button Display report.
Now, use export <IT> to memory id <ID> and submit report <report name> and return. now, define same internal table in this submitted report and use import <IT> from memory id <ID>. Now, table control data is available in internal table, use that data and make code as per your requirement. If you dont want to use push button then use menu bar and at user-command event.

Problems and question with Transport

Hi,
I have two questions about transporter tool I cannot solve by myself :
-When Transporting from dev system to quality system, data (result of each KPIs) are also transported. How to avoid that ?
- When Transporting in Production, How to avoid to overriding data already entered by users ?

Matt-
SSM Transporter is not like BW in that there is no delta option for data. When using the Transporter you will transport all the Entry & Approval data with your metadata. SSM Transporter cannot transport subsets of data, other than those specified in the Transporter list.
I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish here, but assuming that you want to upgrade 7.5 in dev and then move that to prod, here is a suggested sequence.
Upgrade DEV to the new SP and transport your PROD data into DEV for testing. You also have to move PAS models as well to make sure that the structure of the models are the same. The PAS models are where your data is going to be. The Entry & Approval data is also carried in the SSM metadata as mentioned above. So when transporting PROD data into DEV select the Delete all data in database before import -YES.
Figuring that your testing will take some time, probably additional data will be loaded in PROD during that time. When you've completed your testing, you will have to find a weekend or some period to take your SSM PROD system offline. When you do that you take the PROD system offline and Transport the data again, so you capture all current data and transport that into your upgrade DEV system ( In DEV when transporting Delete all data in database before import - YES). So now your DEV system is the same as your PROD. If you want to make any quick tests to verify, it's recommended. When confident they are the same-
Now, upgrade your PROD system to the new SP and when complete you can transport the data from DEV back in. Check your system and if it checks out put PROD back online. This ensures your data matches the current sets.
This is the very shorthand version, you still have to do all the steps of backing up customizations and all the other things that go along with installing SPs as specified in the guides.

Krishna, <b>All</b> the Objects(prms,classes,tables,stru...) will be transported thru Transport Objects only..
Check Utilities->version->Version Mgt -> Here u will have the Transport number(if it's created under trnasportable obj).If you do not find TP no,then u would hav saved that as a Local Object.
Then Relase the TP no from SE10 Trnx.

i have on the selection screen a parameter of type RYEAR i check in database and theere is no matchcode attach to it.

on the P_path we need to put the directory name and also implement a F4 where user can browse the directory.   On the p_name we will put the file name

HOw to translate lables & selection field titls in diff lang for ABAP query

I have one report to be displayed using sap query , in that
I need to translate the output fields lables and fields which are on selection screen of query into diff languages like FR, IT, ES and all.
How can I do it? Can anybody help me ?
I found one tcode SQ07 , but it will translate only selection screen fields but even the space is limited.

Hello,
For this please maintain the output field labels as text symbols.
After doing so, choose from menu GOTO->Translation.
Now it will ask you for the language to translate into.
