We can Call the Java mapping through RMI server which intrun calls the Java mappings which are present in that......depending upon the condition given..So these can called via Java Communication(JCO). And a mapping can be excuted.

Questions about Mapping GL Accounts to Group Accounts

Hi,
I have some questions about mapping gl accounts to group accounts while configuring OBIEE APPS 7.9.6.3 with EBS R12 as a source:
FIRST QUESTION.-
For file file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv, I have the following accounts from my customer:
101101 - Caja Administrativa
101102 - Fondo Revolvente
101103 - Caja de Cambios
101104 - Efectivo en cajero
This group of accounts is named CASH, now my customer said that this group begins in 101101 and ends in 101199 but in this moment only have this 4 accounts in GL, the rest of the accounts, I mean 101105-101199 are not used right now, they are gonna used in the future.
So, my question is, in file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv how I need to put this group:
In this way:
CHART OF ACCOUNTS ID,FROM ACCT,TO ACCT,GROUP_ACCT_NUM
50308,101101,101104,CASH
Or in this way:
CHART OF ACCOUNTS ID,FROM ACCT,TO ACCT,GROUP_ACCT_NUM
50308,101101,101199,CASH
I mean, is there any problem if I use the second way, or is necessary to do it in the first way, and why?
SECOND QUESTION.-
For file file_group_acct_names.csv, when I update with a new group of accounts, is there any rule or size boundary for GROUP_ACCOUNT_NAME?
THIRD QUESTION.-
For file_group_acct_names.csv, what is the value in column LANGUAGE? I mean, is EBS language?, DB language?, server language?
I hope that someone can help me, because I need to clarify this and don't do the first full load and this load ends with error because of this.

I'll take some broad swipes at this and let the smarter people come fill in the details.
We have a true 1:1 setup in our office and have moved to PHDs as a means of protecting against downtime. The thinking is that we will have a spare machine lying around with our base installation ready to go. If a user's machine fails we'll replace it with the spare machine, let it sync the user directory from the server, and we're back in business. It's no substitute for a real backup system, but it potentially avoids having to run a restore from your backups. It also reduces network traffic compared to plain networked homes, and still lets your users work if the server goes down, but provides the benefits of centralized management. John DeTroye wrote a nice article about this.
If you've already got data on your "client" Mac you will need to move it onto the server. PHDs will download data from the server to the client on the first sync, but will not upload a complete home directory from the client to an empty directory on the server. You'll find some posts in this forum discussing how people have gone about migrating data prior to that first sync.
WGM allows you to establish exclusions for stuff you don't want to sync.
One thing to watch out for in the scenario you describe is the so-called "rabbit effect." Assume Bob uses Mac1 as his primary machine. If one day he logs into Mac2 his home directory will be downloaded to Mac2. Once he returns to Mac1 he'll still be cluttering up Mac2 with his data. If he logs into Mac3 the next day and Tom and Sue are also periodically logging into different machines, you can see how you'll end up with a mess pretty quickly.

Hi,
Double click on Transformation Mapping -> Go to Extras -> Tabular Overview-> Right Click - > Export to Microsoft Excel.
You can also save the transormation as JPG file (Click on Button -> Save as JPG -> from left ) and attach that in the mapping document.

Little Known Fact About Mapping Drive Letters

It's easy enough to create a shared folder on one computer and map a drive letter to access the folder on a different computer. Usually the mechanism behaves flawlessly with a hiccup here and there. But, did you know, that a logged on session has two sets
of drive letters? It's true. You create drive letters whilst not running as administrator and you access those drive letters whilst running as not administrator. But, the moment you run as administrator, those drive letters vanish without a peep of explanation
from Windows. However, you are free to create drive letters as administrator and access those drive letters as administrator. I'm sure there is a very good technical reason for this. Something about a security token being different between the two states.
But that does not forgive whoever is responsible for warning the end users about this.

you are correct when you log on even as administrator your rights are still a user, when you attempt a task that requires the administrator privilege you are elevated to that level, if you have UAC turned on you would see the box come up. this is to inform
you that you are now running under administrator privileges, this is by design, this is also what happens when you run the command prompt as a administrator. It's mostly for security reasons imagine a virus or a program being able to launch a elevated
command and basically taking over the networks shared information simply because you opened a command prompt wit admin rights.
Microsoft has many people that keep saying "how come I can do this and access this" they then publish their findings and the malicious software people take advantage of the security hole so they have to patch, you shouldn't be mad at Microsoft

LDAPMAP: questions about mapping

Hi All.
We want to implement an interface between our SAP ECC6 and Microsoft Active-Directory.
I have some questions about the mapping done in LDAPMAP t-code:
1.
What the meaning of the structure and fieldname (e.g. structure-USERNAME; field-BAPINAME)?
They cannot be found anywhere in the DB or in SE36.
2.
How do I create new pairs (e.g. PA0008-TRFGR)?
3.
How do I communicate with these structure-fields, i.e. fill data to them?
Any help will be appreciated.

Question about mapping AD to OID

I'm trying to determine the correct entries for the activechg.map file.
I have 2 issues to resolve:
1. Most of the user accounts are in the AD users folder but I also have user accounts in an AD OU named "Cust Ser Reps". So do I need the following entires in the map file?
CN=Users,DC=norris,DC=intra:cn=Users,dc=norris,dc=intra
OU=Cust Ser Reps,DC=norris,DC=intra:cn=Users,dc=norris,dc=intra
2. I have a second AD domain (swtp.intra) that resides in a different forest from norris.intra. There is a 2-way external trust between them. How do I map this domain to OID? The OID is only setup for dc=norris,dc=intra.

Hi Thomas
The answer to question one is "yes" that is exaclty how you do it. If you have users in different parts of the tree you can modify your Domain mapping rules by adding the second tree and both will be synced with OID.
To answer your second question, if you have a forest of AD servers then you should only sync with the Global Catalog Server. This will ensure that all changes made to any of the AD servers in the forest are synced with OID. You can read more about this in Chapter 43 of the OID admin guide.
If you have multiple independant AD servers then you need to create a new DIP profile for each one that you want to sync with using ODM to create the new profiles.

[solved] [VIM] question to vim power users about mapping

Hi,
I have just starting using map leaders in vim and I'm love it.
Here are my shortcuts but this method allow to open /etc/rc.conf only in readonly mode.
So how can I open this file to edit like su (when I open vim without sudo)? I have configured sudo to works without password.

when I open a file that needs 'sudo' for editing.
For some files I have aliases:
[karol@black ~]$ type rc
rc is aliased to `sudo vim /etc/rc.conf'

Can anyone help me about mapping Faces Context please?

Well, my application does'nt even load when i run it and i map the Faces Servlet like below:

    </servlet-mapping>On the other side, it run perfectly when i put the mapping below :

        <url-pattern>/faces/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>but all my links must have the "faces" befores its real url for instance:
<c:url value="faces/Logout" var="url"/>
        <a href="${url}" >Link</a> and it keeps adding the "faces" everytime i click a link on the adress bar like that:
http://myhost/myapp/faces/faces/faces/faces/home.jsp

Don't use *.jsp as the mapping for the FacesServlet. This will override the implicit container mapping for JSPs. Instead, use *.jsf, or *.faces.

A question about mapping

ok, my problem is this :
I use /faces/* mapping and i want to be able to put my links like
this :

If do it like this then my apache doesnt find "the FacesContext" (i know it's a common problem).I know that I should change the link to "faces/login.jsp"
and it works if I do it , but when click on the link the address bar changes to
http://localhost/mysite/faces/faces/login.jsp
U see ? It ads one more /faces in the address. If I click many more times the address tends to look like that.

The login.jsp link is in a navigation bar which is in all my pages , if u're wondering how can click on the same link again and again.

I think I could change the links to commandlinks but i would like it to solve the problem using output link .One reason I used output link is cause it felt natural not to do otherwise.I mean I use command links and navigation rules , when there are many more possible outcomes. Here I want that everybody should be allowed to access this link .Btw, the link is not login.jsp cause u're right i should use a navigation rule for authentification , I just used login.jsp for example.The actual link is "viewsellads.jsp".
As for the "/faces/login.jsp" or "faces/login.jsp" , when u put no slash he goes to http://localhost/faces/login.jsp
But my web application is in a directory called "example" so I want tomcat to put the entire path .For short when I put no slash it goes where it should
http://localhost/example/faces/login.jsp
The reason this is so frustrating is probably cause I think I had the same problem some time ago too , when I was writing a site just with jsp and servlet. I didnt know there how to solve some relative path issue either, but
I changed to extension mapping ...and all was fine.But I dont know , it seems

Question about mapping art to a 3d object

I'm looking for help with mapping art to a 3d object using the extrude and bevel effect, and I keep running into the same issues.
I've attached an image of what I'm trying to replicate (on the left) and where I am currently at (on the right). The left image is what we're looking to duplicate, in a 3d manner, but I'm not able to add the roll tail (which now needs to have a bit of a curve coming towards you), without there being numerous surfaces in the 'map art' box. What I am hoping is that there is a way to create one surface that wraps completely around the roll, and then down to the tail, and curling towards the viewer. Currently when I do this it creates numerous surfaces so I have to map the art to piece it together and it doesn't line up with the other mapped art. I would so appreciate any help you can offer!
Also, I'm not able to get a great shadow inside the roll, is there something I'm missing with the lighting options?

Question about Mapping& Typecasting

Hi, I am trying to typecast this map into characters at the end. I started by inputting the file as a byte array and have the treemap map it out and count the characters. But since I used bytes it comes back out to me as integers but what I want to display is characters. I'm not sure where I should typecast it since I just write System.out.printlnt (m) in order to print out the list. Any ideas?

First of all, your Map object must have the following type parameter:
Map<Character, Integer> m = new TreeMap<Character, Integer>();Then, your foreach loop is more resonable if you extract from the byteArray byte values, rather than int values - As the array is an an array of byte elements...
Finally, you may remember that char is, in deep, a numeric value, interpreted by java to a character. So, you can cast a byte value into a char:
byte bVal = 97;
System.out.println((char)bVal);This will print the 'a' character in your console

Question about mapping.

How would I "map events to the indices of an array?" For example, I have an array that looks like:
{2, 2, 2, 6, 4, 10, 1, 1}
Instead of explicitly storing each event, I'd like to have the index of the array represent the event and have the element hold the number of times the event occurred. For example, the above would be:
Result of event: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
Number of times event occurred: 2 3 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 1

If the events you're tracking are densely packed integers--that is, most or all of the integers in a given range--then you create an array. Let's say you're tracking events identified as 1-10. You'd create an array of 10 ints. arr[0] is how many times you've seen event 1, arr[1] is the count for event 2, etc.
Numerical array elements are initialized to zero upon creation, so every time you get an event, you increment the corresponding array element: int eventId = getEventIdSomehow();
arr[eventId]++; On the other hand, if your events are the numbers 1 1,000 2,500,000, 10,000,000, and 2,000,000,000 then you don't want an array of 2,000,000,000 elements just to track five of them. In that case, or if the events can't be identified as densely packed intgers, then use a java.util.Map. The key will identify which event, and the value will be the number of occurences.
