Greetings to all OTN memebers.
I don't know whether this type of post will be appropriate or not .
But I just wanted to share one info with all the OTN memebers .
There is one Yahoo group dedicated to Oracle -> oracle_champions .
In the Files section , there are lot of PDFs , DOCs etc
to help people in getting more light on the ocean of Oracle .
Also , there are Testking/Fravo/Miller/RealExam dumps which will be
really helpfull to those who are preparing for OCP Certification .

All Downloads named "download", iTunes keeps "resettiing-first run" and more...

     I have just copied the original text sent to Apple Support, hoping someone has had the same problems so I can compare results. Currently their is not a fix for any of my problems. I will have to manually rename, move, and add into my library each file. I will have to change preferences to what I prefer whenever they reset to defaults. All of this is very time-consuming and annoying... Please add some comments, even if you have the same problems without any "fixes" either.

I have THREE(3) issues that are a serious problem.
Problem #1:
     The iTunes program itself keeps "resetting" itself, as if I just installed it for the first time. All my preferences reset to the defaults and the "take a tour" separate window-or-program pops up as well. I do not use a the default directory for my library and several other issues as well. I have had files disappear and reappear in a random fashion. Not mention that having to change all the preferences, and reset my AppleID account and password goes beyond annoying. Good thing this software is free...
    This can happen as much as 3 times in a day, but in the last 4 months alone, I have had to change everything at least 13 (thirteen) times. Oh yeah, just happen today, Friday, after it happen on Wednesday.
     This problems started back around "9.x" versions and has continued throughout current versions "10.x" as well. You got e-mails then, and now again.... this problem alone is enough to cause complete chaos.
Problem #2: all files are named "download"
     All podcast episodes are called "download", music and music videos are called "download". For example; download.mp4, download.m4v, download.mp3, etc. As well as not in the proper directory, see problem # 3.
Problem #3:
     All of the podcasts downloads, regardless of the podcast, is being dumped in the "library-downloads" directory. Within that particular directory I will have another directory for each single episode of each podcast downloaded. The episodes should be put in the particular PODCAST DIRECTORY not as a new directory for each episode. Not mention music goes to the music directory.
     The music downloads are doing the same thing, except for the directory has "_tmp" added to after the name of the song. within that directory is the file finally.
For example, the free video of the week download looks like this:
...iTunes Library...
     Downloads
          Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved You.tmp
               download.m4v                (finally, the actually file, not under "music")
please help resolve some of these issues at hand.

How can I delete all my contacts in Address Book?

I had syncing issues between my Entourage 2008 contacts, my Address Book contacts, and the PowerMac for Blackberry application. As a reference, I have around 5,000 contacts. I have solved the issue, but there is some collateral damage: read on.
Address Book duplicated my contacts two or three times, and it also created around 60,000 empty contacts. I have been able to clean the Entourage contacts, which only suffered from duplication but not from new empty entries.
I tried to delete the Address Book duplicate and empty entries. The easy way out, I thought, was to Select All and delete. It does not work. Given I have ended with around 80,000 contacts, after I Select All, and try to delete, the program hangs, and I have to Force Quit the Address Book application.
I tried to locate the Address Book file where contacts are stored, but I have not found an obvious name that would point to it, nor have I read anything about such file in the different discussion forums. So no success on this.
I have even used scripts in the past for deleting duplicates and merging contacts in Entourage, but I have not found one for Address Book that could take care of the massive number of empty entries with "No Name".
So, is there a way to delete all my contacts in Address Book?

There are two possibilities you can try:
1. Delete all your duplicate entries. You can try downloading and running this Applescript Remove Duplicates, which will create a group named Duplicates in Address Book, from which you should be able to delete those entries, by selecting the Group, then in the next column to the Right, select all the entries and choose Delete Cards from the Edit menu.
2. If that doesn't work, you can do this:
1. Quit Address Book if it's running.
2. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook and delete an of these files/folders you find there:
• ABPerson.skIndex
• ABPerson.skIndexInverted
• Address Book - xxxxx.abbu
• AddressBook.data
• AddressBook.data.beforesave
• AddressBook.data.previous
• Images
• LastImport.plist
3. Restart Address Book and see if the default cards are there (Apple card, and your Me card) and if all seems to be working correctly.

I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?
I am puzzled. I appreciate for your advice and help.

It doesn't appear under the iPad device on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes, you need to select the iPad device on the sidebar and then select the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes e.g.

You cannot redownload audiobooks at all.
If you want it on your macbook, tehn put it there.
You can transfer it from your iphone: File>Transfer Purchases.

Can downloaded oracle9i Enterprise Edition use Bitmap index?

Hello there,
I have a downloaded Oracle9i Enterprise Edition. After I create some bitmap index on a partitioned table, I use the following sql statement to check the bitmap index:
select index_name, index_type, status from user_index;
It tells me that all the statuses of the bitmap indexes are "N/A" (Not availabe). Does that mean I can NOT use bitmap index in this downloaded Enterprise version?
If I must use bitmap indexes, what should I do?

I downloaded an itunes audio book and now can't find it anywhere...not in iTunes, not in iBooks...where did it go?

I had similar troubles on my iPhone 5 (iOS 7) with some audiobooks. Tried redownloading, reported problems, etc. nothing worked. Even more confusing, I could 'see' it in the On This IPhone in iTunes, but couldn't even see the audiobooks button in iTunes (on the phone).
I ended up searching for it by name, from my iPhone home screen (by swiping down, it may be called spotlight?), and where it reads 'Search this iPhone', I just started typing the name of the book, and there it was.
Not the most elegant solution, but so far all three of the books that I've bought are there.

How to download Oracle 10g Release 2?

there are plenty of links. Which should I use to download Oracle 10g Database Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0). I require the one for Linux ES 4, AMD Sempron processor. There are links for Oracle Companion, Oracle Client, Cluster & Gateway. In fact, I have no idea of these softwares... Suggestions may be of great help.

You could derive the answer from the Install manuals from http://tahiti.oracle.com - there is a separate install manual for each of those downloads.

Bad Links - Download Oracle 10g

Hi
I am trying to download oracle 10g release 1 for Solaris (x86) from the link specified bellow. The problem is that I'm getting a file not found error for all the links on the page.

Unable to download JDeveloper 10g Production Release or Oracle Designer 10g

The downloaded files doesn't seems to be complete and I get "invalid file" when try to open using WinZip. I tried to download these files few times now but in vain.

I am still unable to download. I used 2 different browsers. I am clicking on the 'Download JDeveloper 10G'
link on the homepage, clicking on 'I Accept' on the next page after checking all the checkboxes. Then in next page
clicking Complete Install/Basic Install gives the same
"Sorry, page not found error"!

When I was searching through google for free database downloads, I come accross the following url :

Yes, you can download Oracle9i database at the very bottom of the page you have quoted. The license allows you to use it for development purposes only and you would license the product when you go to a production environment. You will see the full terms of the license when you go to download it.

Download Database 10g Release 2 fails

Hi,
I tried to download Database 10g Release 2. But it fails everytime, with the following message:
The file 10201_database_linux32.zip is downloading.
After the download is complete, the file will be scanned.
Navigating to another page will interrupt the download, which will then need to be restarted from the beginning.
There is a violation of administrative setting found in http://download-uk.oracle.com/otn/linux/oracle10g/10201/10201_database_linux32.zip. The affected file was blocked.
Security warning Exceed_File_Count_Limit in file 10201_database_linux32.zip.The file is rejected.
I tried it a couple of times, but it never worked. Someone had the same troubles or a solution?

Download Oracle9i client failure

When I am downloading Oracle9i Database Release 2 Client for Microsoft Windows 98/2000/NT/XP, it fails after 99%. I have tried twice and they all failed. Anybody knows why?

have you try to download it by using Downloader such as DAP or FlashGet.
Because if you use those application they can continue the rest of the downloaded file

Remove all Download History from "My Stuffs"

Anyone got any idea to select all/remove all download history from "My Stuffs" at http://store.ovi.com/mystuff ?
Because it got me so frustrated when I've gotta manually tick 10 apps per page and then click "Delete selected", "Next" and repeat the same steps over and over again.
Is there any way to "Select all" or at least "Select all 10" and then "Delete selected"?

Unfortunately I do not know.
However I am curious how you are able to select and delete any at all. I cannot find this anywhere and my "My Stuff" pages only show static lists 10 to a page. Maybe removing items from the list isn't allowed in the US?
