Hi all, how can i do a query precalculated step by step please, cause my client want some queries without wait 1 min, cause the query last about 5 min cause it shows like 40 InfoObjects of master data, now, i read about this queries precalculated and can help to execute it in the mourning, and when the client execute the query , it'll be ready to show the data, thanks all, i need this help and any other commentary please let me know, thanks

You need to create template and in the property of the template Data store, select precalculated. And following that if you are in 3.x you can use a reporting agent in resrep TC to schedule the query gets executed at specific time period, if you are in 7.0 then you can use broadcaster to schedule the time to fill the cache.

Reporting statistics data is only written to the database table if BW statistics have been manually activated for the corresponding InfoProvider first. If this has not been done, it is therefore not possible to display any reporting statistics in transaction ST03.
Therefore activate the reporting statistics for all relevant InfoProviders. To do this, set the OLAP flag in the BW Administrator Workbench (transaction RSA1) in the area Tools ® BW Statistics for InfoProvider.

How can I make a query by date with several TDMS files?

Hi,
I have a project that can write and read TDMS files everyday (a file for each day with date and time). There, I can import those files to excel (I choose a file and load it). But, I have a question: How can I make a query by date with those TDMS files? I'd like make a time stamp for start date and stop date, where I could compare the TDMS file dates and sum the values that are in the channels where these files are similar. For example, I save a file with "02/01/2013" name, in other day "03/01/2013", in other day "04/01/2013"... so, i'd like put in time stamp for start date "02/01/2013" file and to stop date "04/01/2013" file, than, sum all values that range with my TDMS files existing. How can I make that?

This VI search all your TDMS in a range of dates and join them in a single TDMS. I hope this is what you wanted.
Query TDMS is the main VI. The TDMS VI Search changes the date format that out from calendar control (which is DD / MM / YYYY) to DD-MM-YYYY. This is because you can't name files using "/". I chose "-" but, if necessary, you should change to keep the same format of your TDMS files.
If you have any doubt as to its operation or how to make changes to adapt VI for your application, keep at your disposal.

How can I execute a query from a BSP application?
I´m trying to execute a Query from intranet. I´ve been looking for examples, but the templates I´ve found doesn´t help me.
does anybody has an example?

design it first with one page
page will have layout and Event handlers
Design the layout with the fields
in the event handler there are events
in the event On Initiailization or ON inputprocessing write the select query similar to what we write in routine ABAp and fetch the data into ITAB and that has to be passed to the Layout

When creating BSP applications, note the browser dependencies described in Note 598860.
steps:
1) start the transaction RZ10.
2) now u u have to select Profile name, so select the INSTANCE Profile from the list of options given with the Profile parameter list.U may find multiple instance profile in the list, so select the profile in which ur server name is given.
3) u will also find three options in the same window.
Administrator data, Basic Maintenance, and Extended Maintenance. So select the last one from that.
4) Now click on change button.
5) here u will find parameter icm/host_name_full, so now set it as FQDN.
6) Now copy ur settings with new version number.
7) Activate that version.
8) And now please restart ur WAS.
So this will set ur FQDN, and also don't forget to login using Admin User.
Now u also check for following service are active in your ICF setting or not,( just start transaction code SICF)

How can a user see the View of a query created for a different user??

Hi all,
Maybe I didn't explain me as i should or maybe you dont know what is a Query View. Lets try again, showing you the steps to open a "Query view".
This way is from Bex Analyzer (Excel)
I open the Bex Analyzer and connect to the system -> Open query -> Under "Type" choose "Query View"...this is just a different view of the original query (more or least columns/rows).
This way is from Bex Web:
Once you open/execute the query, you have a ComboBox to choose the view (previously saved)
The problem that we have is that the views created for a user, can NOT be found by other user. The only user who can is the owner.
Could it be an authorization problem? or is ther any configuration possible to see it?

Throwing stones at the Performance Killer is not in any way, identifying The Performance Problem. And none of the suggestions in this thread on what stones to throw is much better than adding a 1=2 predicate to a query.

I need to create a query with web service data control, in WSDL, it's query operation, there is a parameter message with the possible query criteria and a return message contains the results. I googled, but cannot find anything on the query with web service. I cannot find a "Named Criteria" in web service data control like normal data control. How can I create a query, when the Customer run the report today he should see this month data.when the customer run the report for previous month he should see previous months data.How can I do this without going for Select options.

If your customer run this report when he input a day in previous month, they want the whole previous month total data, you can use Replacement Path variable to get the previous month. If your customer run this report when he input a day in previous month, they want the data from 1st day to input day in the month, you can use customer exit variable to calculate 1st day in the previous month.
When the Customer run the report today he can see this month data, those two type variables can do.

Your select would look like this in ANSI.
select *
from tableA A
JOIN viewB B ON A.key = B.key
WHERE a.criteria1 = '111'
and a.criteria2 = some_function(a.key);The good thing here is that this separates the typical joining part of the select from the typical filter criteria.
The other syntax very often let you forget one join. Just because there are so many tables and so many filters, that you just don't notice correctly anymore what was join and what not.
If you notice that the number of column is not what you expect, you can easiely modify the query and compare the results.
example A
Remove View B from the query (temporarily comment it out).
select *
from tableA A
--JOIN viewB B ON A.key = B.key
WHERE a.criteria1 = '111'
and a.criteria2 = some_funtion(a.key)
example B
You notice, that values from A are missing. Maybe because there is no matching key in ViewB? Then change the join to an outer join.
select *
from tableA A
LEFT OUTER JOIN viewB B ON A.key = B.key
WHERE a.criteria1 = '111'
and a.criteria2 = some_funtion(a.key)(The outer keyword is optional, left join would be enough).
