Hi all. I have an Ipad which shows iPad is disabled connect to iTunes?
I bought an ipdad in the UK. Brought it to Brazil.
It did work. Now it is displaying iPad is disabled - connect to iTunes.
I did this, but does not communicate with the iPad until I unlock it.
What can I do??
It sounds like you are saying that you cannot unlock the iPad because it will not accept the Passcode or you forgot the Passcode. If that is the case - or - iTunes will not recognize the iPad - try recovery mode.
Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad.

I put the password in my Ipod and now I am trying to put it again but it is not working....I tried to connect with the Itunes and it is not working because to the Itunes work with my Ipod, I need the password first, which I do not know. What if you have a situation where Restore did not work. I do. The ipad mini says it is disabled, connect to itunes. When connected, it says that it is locked! I have tried using Recovery/Restore but after it completed, the ipad mini still malfunctions. It does not allow you to start the device. The slide image keeps dancing around the screen. The opening page keeps changing in size and the keyboard types on its own! What can be done to fix this????????
Maybe a reset would help, to be followed by trying the recovery again.
To reset, hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then do the recovery.
If this doesn't solve it, I recommend visiting an Authorized Apple Service Center. -

I would first make sure all updates have been processed for the computer and iTunes. You may need to place the device in recovery mode before iTunes will recognize the device. Here is the article that explains that process.

My daughters locked her phone but the laptop its synced too is broken and she hasn't set up find my phone how do we unlock????
So I'm guessing here, they forgot the passcode? Find My iPhone has nothing to do with forgotten passcode or accessing the phone.
The only way to bypass the passcode it to restore the phone on the computer you normally sync to and restore the backup. However, it appears from what you have typed here, that the computer your normally sync to is broken. The only thing you can do is to use another computer to restore, however you will restore as a new device, since you cannot access the old one. Also, since it is locked, you cannot create a backup either. Not a good situation to be in. -

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

IiPad is stuck in the iTunes connect screen. I have held the home button down while plugging the iPad in and still nothing. Hard reset isn't even doing anything. It's not even showing up under my computer. Please Help

I've update my iPad to iSO6. Now saying connect to iTunes, which is saying my iPad in recovery & to restore to factory stting & all media & data will be ereased. I DOT NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN. What can I do?
You have no choice now. Unless you want a brick for an iPad. After you restore to factory settings you can restore from your backup ..... And you do backup don't you? I would never update the iOS software without backing up first. After you restore from the backup, sync with iTunes again and you should be OK. Assuming that you do sync with iTunes .....

I have tried signing out and in, still does not work.
Still just get the previously mentioned "messages".
I wanted to restore, but then you have to turn off "find my ipad/iphone" but this is not allowed, as I cannot connect to the itunes/icloud or app store. The units work with current apps. EG; email etc, and with apps that do not require current updates.
