Hi all,i have some doubts about dis scenario

plz explain step by  step about this scenario·
     1)Involved in two activities Monitoring and Production Support.
·     2)Actively and regularly involved in Load Monitoring of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly, Data Loads using Process Chains
·     3)Actively involved in Rectification of Load Failure Errors like Master Data Loads, Transaction Loads.
·     4)Supported the Client by providing Long-term solutions to the Tickets by doing Root Cause Analysis.
·     5)Monitoring of Info Packages and analyzing the reasons for frequent failures of Info Packages.

Hi,
Here, there are some responsibilities in Production System.
Answer for fist question is maintaining documentation (in ms word ) for all support related activities like
a) frequently occurred data load monitoring errors as part of process chains
b) how to analyze whether load is running for long time
c) what ever the tickets with proper priority we have to raise. ex: if a load cause affecting more reports , we have to raise p2 ticket . Depends upon the impact of loads on report availability.
Answer for second question :
In prod.support, we have to monitor info package groups or process chains because loads are automatized using pchains or ipgroups. . whenever a load failed as part of pchains or ipg's , we have to analyse the load why it is failed. Loads may be failed due to reasons like memory issues, attribute change run locking issues and sid issues etc.
Answer for third questions:
In perigreen ticketing tool, we can check tickets like system generated tickets and customer generated tickets . For example,. Tivoli tickets are system generated tickets because whenever pchain is not triggered or any process of pchain has failed, system automatically will raise the tickets.
Custom generated tickets means as part of daily loads, any failures happened, with proper priority ,we will raise the ticket to appropriate resolution groups. ( Incident management tickets )
Rms means Request management tickets are requests raised by client. For example if they want adhoc loads on the part of mexico markets, they will raise the Rm and sent it to the offshore queue.
Answer for fourth question:
We can maintain excel sheet, it comprises of what are the loads have failed with the error information as part of process chains or ipg's and maintain the logs for manual loads
daily how many loads are failed ,successful and what are the total loads , can check in RSMO.That information we can maintain in excel sheet.
Root cause Analysis is nothing but giving permanent solution to the frequent errors.
Ali.

  • Have some doubt regarding the  weblog (Lookup's in XI made simpler)

    Hi All,
    I have created the same scenario as mentioned in Siva's weblog (Lookup's in XI made simpler).
    I having some doubts regarding the scenario, it will be great if you help me to resolve the same.
    I am having a file-file scenario where I need to do lookup in database(MS-Access)  through mapping.
    The standard file-file scenario is in place and in addition I have created a receiver jdbc channel . I  have also created the receiver agreement for the same in the cofiguration.
    While creating the receiver agreement you have to specify the interface name which includes the message type…I have specified the normal format which we specify while configuring the jdbc receiver adapter.
    In the message mapping I have created a advance user defined function as mentioned in your weblog which calls my receiver jdbc channel.
    I have also specified the select query to be executed in the mapping program.
    While testing I am getting the following error
    Cannot produce target element /ns0:Role_MT/URole. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
    <b>Can you please suggest me what all I need to do in addition to the file-file scenario for this lookup scenario to work.</b>
    Thanks and Regards
    Rahul

    Hi,
    Following is my user defined function
    //write your code here
    String Query = "";
    Channel channel = null;
    DataBaseAccessor accessor = null;
    DataBaseResult resultSet = null;
    Query = "Select URole from  Lookup where UName = '  " + UName[0] + "  ' and UPassword = '  " + Pwd[0] +" '  ";
    try{
    channel = LookupService.getChannel("DB_service","JDBC_channel_receiver");
    accessor = LookupService.getDataBaseAccessor(channel);
    resultSet  = accessor.execute(Query);
    for(Iterator rows = resultSet.getRows();rows.hasNext();){
    Map rowMap = (Map)rows.next();
    result.addValue((String)rowMap.get("URole"));
    catch(Exception ex){
    result.addValue(ex.getMessage());
    finally{
    try{
    if (accessor!= null) accessor.close();
    catch(Exception ex){
    result.addValue(ex.getMessage());

  • JDBC Questions have some doubts

    hi,
      Friends i have some doubts on JDBC Adapter . plz give me answere.
    1) Wt is the use of update query in jdbc adapter?
    2) Why did u use the flag field in jdbc table?
    3) How will u send the data into multiple table?
    4) Wt is the receiver str jdbc?
    5 Wt is the jdbc configurations
    thanks in adnvace.

    Hi,
    1) Wt is the use of update query in jdbc adapter?
    --> Update query is used to update the specific record in the database table based on Key fields.
    2) Why did u use the flag field in jdbc table?
    --> the Flag field is used to mark the records which are selected by sender JDBC adapter, so next time those records should not be repeated.
    3) How will u send the data into multiple table?
    --> You can send the data to multiple tables with the help of multi-mapping in the XI.
    Accessing Multiple Tables dynamically using JDBC
    Accessing Multiple Tables dynamically using JDBC
    4) Wt is the receiver str jdbc?
    --> On receiver side JDBC, you can either Insert, Update or delete the records. The storder proceduers are the line of codes written in DB2, From XI you can directly execute these JDBC statements. It will be helpful when you will be working on synchronous scenario and need to modify or deal with multiple tables based on complex logics
    5 Wt is the jdbc configurations
    --> JDBC configuration is based on the JDBC drivers installed.

  • Hello I have an imac with os x 10.7.5 and I have some doubts:  the new version of garageband 10.0.2 is compatible with os x 10.7.5?

    Hello I have an imac with os x 10.7.5 and I have some doubts:
    the new version of garageband 10.0.2 is compatible with os x 10.7.5?
    I have not installed mavericks. should I install?
    Thanks!!

    It requires 10.9 or later.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
    You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
    To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
        OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
          Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later

  • Some Doubts about Event Handlers

    Hi,
    I had some doubts on Event handlers in OIM 11.1.1.5 ........
    1) I want to use the same event handler for both Post Insert and Post update task.... Can I use the same event handler for that... If yes then how can I do that....
    2) Can I create the single Plugin.xml class and add the all jar files in single say lib folder and zip them all together.. if yes then What changes I need to do?? Need to add only the plugin tags for different class files in plugin.xml file? OR need to do some thing extra also...?
    3) If i need to change any thing in any class of event handler.. Is there need to unregister the plugin and again register...??
    If yes.... Is there need to delete the event handler using the weblogicDeleteMetadata command???
    4) As we Import the event handler from path like event handler/db/... If we add all the evetn handler.xml files in that folder..... As During Import weblogicImportMetadata recursively call all the files in that folder.... Now if i need to change anything in any one of event handler class... then if we import from the same folder event handler/db/... What will it do............Create the duplicate copy of all the eventhandlers????? OR i need to add only those Eventhandler.xml files for those class files i made the changes.....
    5) As I need to create email on user creation during recon and also email id get updated as first name or last name updates..... What I had to use in Event handler.xml (entity-type="User" operation="CREATE") or Some thing else....
    Help me clarify my doubts...

    1) I want to use the same event handler for both Post Insert and Post update task.... Can I use the same event handler for that... If yes then how can I do that....Yes, you can have the same. Just have two event handlers in the same MDS file and the operation should be CREATE for one while MODIFY for another. The class and version and name remains the same.
    2) Can I create the single Plugin.xml class and add the all jar files in single say lib folder and zip them all together.. if yes then What changes I need to do?? Need to add only the plugin tags for different class files in plugin.xml file? OR need to do some thing extra also...?Yes, in the single plugin xml you can define multiple eventhandlers and the jar will contain multiple event handlers class.
    3) If i need to change any thing in any class of event handler.. Is there need to unregister the plugin and again register...??
    If yes.... Is there need to delete the event handler using the weblogicDeleteMetadata command???No, if you are just changing the class, then you need to update the class only in the plugin. For this, first delete plugin and then update plugin and then purgecache.
    4) As we Import the event handler from path like event handler/db/... If we add all the evetn handler.xml files in that folder..... So effectively, if the xml is not changing you should not be worried about overwritting.
    5) As I need to create email on user creation during recon and also email id get updated as first name or last name updates..... What I had to use in Event handler.xml (entity-type="User" operation="CREATE") or Some thing else....For recon and event handler, you will need to have post process event handler on User CREATE and UPDATE. On Create construct the email address and populate it in the email field. For update check if the firstname/lastname are changing and if yes, then update the email id on the profile.

  • I have a doubt about The Single-Thread Rule

    The [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/overview/threads.html#rule]Single Thread Rule states:
    Rule: Once a Swing component has been realized, all code that might affect or depend on the state of that component should be executed in the event-dispatching thread.
    I began to wonder about this because so much code seems to work just fine when it isn't executed in the event dispatching thread. Why are there exceptions? I went looking for some code which acted differently when executed on the event thread than when it was not. I found this
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=57&thread=410423&message=1803725#1803725
    Now I started wondering why this was the case. What I found was that DefaultCaret adds a document listener to the document of the JTextComponent. In this listener, the insertUpdate() method specifically tests if it is running on the event dispatch thread and if it is, it updates the caret position.public void insertUpdate(DocumentEvent e) {
        if (async || SwingUtilities.isEventDispatchThread()) {
            // ... update the caret position ...
    }I then copied the code from DefaultCaret and made a MyCaret. I needed to tweek the code a little bit, but it ran. I removed the event thread test. It worked outside the event thread. There was a small difference in the results though. The textarea did not scroll all the way to the bottom. Almost, but not quite. I didn't test enough to make sure this was the only problem, but there was at least one problem.
    Now I started think about why this would be. The thought crossed my mind that the order of the events which were posted to the event queue were probably important. Sun found bugs when components were updated out of the event thread, so they essentially ignored events which weren't on the event thread and created the The Single-Thread Rule.
    A few days pass. I'm starting to wonder if Sun could have done a better job making Swing components thread safe. I also don't know that this specific case I found was the rule or the exception to the rule. But without insight into the design philosopy of Swing, I would have to examine all their components and see how they have written them and see if I can come up with a better design. That sound like a lot of work. Especially without getting paid for it.
    But wait a second, all you have to do is call the append() method of JTextArea on the event thread. If that is the case, why didn't they write the freakin component that way? Well, I'll try itclass MyTextArea extends JTextArea {
      public MyTextArea(int rows, int columns) { super(rows,columns); }
      public void append(final String text) {
        if (SwingUtilities.isEventDispatchThread()) super.append(text);
        else {
          SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
            public void run() { myAppend(text); }
      private void myAppend(String text) { super.append(text); }
    }I change [url http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=57&thread=410423&message=1803725#1803725]camickr's code to use a MyTextArea and it works fine without calling from the event thread. I've essentially moved The Single-Thread Rule to the component itself rather than relying on each and every one of the [url http://www.aboutlegacycoding.com/default.htm?AURL=%2FSurveys%2FSurvey6intro%2Easp]2.5 million Java programmers worldwide to use SwingUtilities.invaokeLater().
    Now for my question...
    Why didn't Sun do this?

    Swing is slow enough as it is. Lets not make it slower
    just
    because dense "programmers" don't know what they are
    doing.I agree with you in defending the current model, but aren't you a bit harsh there?!? ;-)
    Well, there are a number of not-so-dense programmers that expect such high-level components to be thread-safe. The question is worth asking whether Sun intentionally favor the explicit thread management for performance reasons, or whether this was an oversight.
    I'd go for the former (intentional) : indeed any GUI toolkit is inherently thread-based; there is always a distinction between the graphical thread(s) and the application threads - and the programmer always has to manage explicit thread creation to handle long-running event handlers without blocking the event dispatching thread. Extending thread concerns to the updating of components is therefore not a big move.
    So it seems fair that a core GUI toolkit does not hide thread issues (though to the best of my knowledge there is no such limitation in updating AWT components), or at least that's what Sun deemed.
    An ease-of-use-focused toolkit wrapping the core toolkit for thread-safety can be provided as a third-party product. Though I agree that wrapping the dozens of existing widgets and hundreds of methods is cumbersome - and the lack of such products probably shows it would have a low added value to trained developpers.
    Because your way is an extra method call and if
    statement, neither of which is necessary if you already know you
    are in the correct thread. Now count the number of methods
    which will need to be changed (and add up the extra cost).Indeed it's quite common to update several properties of several widgets in one bulk (when user clicks "OK", add a row to the table, change the title of the window, update status bar, re-enable all buttons, change some color,...).
    In this case explicit thread management doesn't spare one if but a dozen of redundant ifs!
    Note that there could have been if-less ways to cope for thread safety, such as creating a copy of the component's model when a change is made to a component, and switching the model only before paint() is called in the event-dispatching - of course coalescing all changes into the same "updated" model until paint() is called.
    But this would trade ease of use for redundant memory consumption, especially for some components with potentially huge models (JTree, JTable, JTextArea,...). And Swing appears to be already quite memory-greedy!

  • I have some problem about wifi sync with iOS5

    Hi~everbody~
    I have some problem with wifi sync, and still don't know how to resolve it. Please Help Me~
    First,I using Windows 7 64-bit, the latest iTunes 10.5, and iPod touch 4 with 5.0(9A334), and of course a WIFI AP in my room.
    Here is my major problem:
    When I setted up enable wifi sync in iTunes summary, the iTunes had identified my iPod and show at left side in iTunes,
    even when I unplug  my iPod touch 4 from my computer, the iTunes still shows there.
    But after one day when I came home, I opened the iTunes want do a wireless sync, but the iTunes did not found my machine.
    I have tried restart computer, restart WIFI AP, disable anti-virus software, close MSN, close teamviewer, and any software may caused some unstable network issue between iTunes and iPod touch 4, but when I done these whole things, the iTunes still not found my iPod.
    So I want to know do Wifi Sync needs any specific net port ? like 80 port or some port else?
    Wish there are somebody can help me fix this, very appreciate.
    BTW: Even iTunes did not found my iPod touch 4, but I can still using "Remote App" to control iTunes music play, so I really confuse why it just can't do wifi sync ?

    This error has got nothing to do with rmi.
    The StackOverflowError means the Java VM stack is filled up. The
    stack is used for keeping track of method calls. An easy way to
    produce a StackOverFlowErrer is the following code:
    class Test {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    a();
    static void a() {
    a();
    So if you call method a() within the same method, the stack
    fills up quickly.

  • I'm going to Europe in a week and have some questions about charging my computer.

    I'm going to Europe in a week. I know there is a built in power thing or something but do I have to change a setting on my computer or will it adjust automatically? And what kind of converter do I need to charge it/plug it in? Will the same one work for Prague, Paris, and London? I've tried doing some research but I just don't understand what I'm reading about different v and what kind to get. I found several adaptor things at the store but have no idea what does what or which one I need.
    Also, how do I charge my ipod? Can the same charger work or do I need a separate one?
    Thanks!

    The World Traveller Kit is way overkill for this. All you really need is a plug adapter for the area you are going - most of Europe uses the same plug shape. You can get a plug adapter at most hardware or electronics stores for a few dollars. I travelled to Holland, Norway and Israel last year and used such a plug adapter with my MacBook Pro.
    Best of luck.
    Sure, but the USB adapter is not universal. So when he buy the adapter for $29 from Apple, and $5 for the adapter you can buy the travler kit for just $5 more and get a) more adapters b) the USB cable c) the adapters could be attached directly to the supper supply's. But sure, you can get a simple adapter like that one.

  • Some doubt about use of

    Hello everyone,
    I am newbie in java programming and need some help. Recently i was just viewing some code of existing open source java projects and i found that there was a use of the < > braces while defining a class, interface, constructor, and objects. As i am a student i do not know that much about this syntax and am not very friendly with data structures if they have any concern with it. i use Java 2 complete reference for learning java and have not found use of such syntax until now but would like to know its use what is it called as and anything more if you know about it such as advantage etc hence am seeking forward for helpfrom you all
    if anybody has any links to tutorials that teach such syntax or any books please dont forget to tell it
    thanks in advance

    by the way one thing i would like to know is that for
    learning generics do i have to have knowledge of data
    structures, because i am not familiar with data
    structures and i found the reference of collections
    framework i just thought i would have to learn DS
    anyways plz tell me what you think
    thanks in advanceno it is not necessary to know about data structures at all while using generics.

    1.how do u settle rebate
    2.how the item condition type in pricing picks the price without assigning the acesssequence to condition type?

    4. we  can six different kind of dates in sales  oder , how these  dates are determined in sales order plz in detail?
    5. how can link the delivery document to shipping doc where do we have connection?
    5.if i want to change the moment type 601 to 523 , what are thing need to be done?

    Dear Venkat
    Please dont post too many questions in one thread as you will not get feedback to all questions.
    1)  Rebate Settlement
    You can partially or fully settle a rebate agreement.
    The system uses the services rendered date (which is the billing date, if you are shipping products) to determine whether a billing document qualifies for rebate processing. To qualify, the date must fall within the validity period of one or more rebate agreements.
    Since it is possible for the billing date to be later than the services rendered date, you may need to allow some time after the end of a rebate agreement's validity period before final processing of the rebate agreements. If the volume of your sales rebate processing is high, you can collectively process rebate settlements as a background task.
    2.  Condition type in pricing
    If I understood your question correctly, I dont think without maintaining proper access sequence, your pricing condition type will flow into sale order / billing
    3)  Free Goods Delivery
    If you want to generate a sale order in SAP, you have to have a pricing procedure with respective condition types
    5)  Movement Type
    Please check with your MM / FI on the impact.  You can change the movement type in your schedule line category

  • Some doubt about Bdb XML Normal Recovery

    Hi, everyone
    I have read the document Getting Started with Transaction Processing for Java shipped with Bdb XML 2.4.13. In the book, there is something about Normal Recovery:
    Normal recovery is run only against those log files created since the time of your last checkpoint.To test this, I have designed a scenario as below:
    The ENVIRONMENT directory is under E:/bdb-xml/environment, and the BACKUP directory is under E:/bdb-xml/backup, the CONTAINER name is entry.dbxml, and there is already a document 1.xml in this container.
    1. run db_recover against ENVIRONMENT.
    2. copy entry.dbxml to BACKUP.
    3. create a document 2.xml.
    4. run checkpoint against ENVIRONMENT.
    5. modify document 1.xml.
    6. run checkpoint against ENVIRONMENT.
    7. copy log.0000000001(there is only one log file in ENVIRONMENT) to BACKUP, Note that I didn't copy the entry.dbxml in ENVIRONMENT.
    8. run db_recover agaist BACKUP(now there are 2 files : entry.dbxml, log.log.0000000001).After that, I used the BACKUP as environment directory, and try to query 2.xml. And I retrieved the document correctly, which I feel very curious. As the document says, the last checkpoint is created by step 6, after that, there is no other modifications happens, so the modification happened at step 3 and step 5 will not take effect when db_recover executed. But the two changes have committed to entry.dbxml.
    So, which is the last checkpoint. And what is the those log files created since the time of your last checkpoint.
    I also want to know where the checkpoint be writen, in the db files or the log files.
    thanks advance.
    Regards,
    John Kao.

    Jhon,
    You really do want to know the gory details don't you? :-)
    Running recovery in your backup directory will cause the container there to pick up all changes from the log file that it does not yet have. The checkpoint on the original container doesn't mean anything to the backup container.
    Let me point you to even more interesting documentation that is in the Berkeley DB documentation set. This page has all of the BDB documentation, including links that are not included in the BDB XML doc:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/index.html
    The "Getting Started with Transaction Processing" documents on that page have the sort of information you seem to want.

  • I have some concerns about places my teen is visiting on the internet.  The history is always cleaned and i am wondering if there is a way to see what websites have been visit throught the airport router? thanks

    Hi pretty self expalanotory as in the title.  I just want to know if there is a way to access website history that is maybe stored right on the router.  Any assistance woudl be appreciated.  I am not just a nosy Dad but I am very concerned about unsafe activity that my son may be researching. Thank you.

    .there is no way to access historical website history on the router
    Correct
    but if I installed OpenDNS then I could track sites visited?
    Correct, but you may need to install some software on each computer that you want to be able to monitor in the household. OpenDNS will walk you through the setup.
    If you want to go back in time, there are also professional applications (read very expensive) that will reveal the browsing history of a given computer.....even if the browsing history has been erased by the user.
    You will have to have physical access to the computer to use these applications. Post back if you need a few names.

    a question : it can or must be installed on separate $ORACLE_HOME ? i have a 10g instance (**no** APPS)
    and a problem : i have installed it on a separate OHOME , create a user with all XML Roles, except admin, and it occurs a "security violation error" when i try to create a folder.
    any tip ?
    thanks,
    Sandro.

    Hi Brett,
    yes, i understand that is the first version without APPS dependency.
    like i said, i installed it in a separated OHOME, but the install guide is not very clear about this, but i believe that is no problem.
    any hints about the error ?
    thanks,
    Sandro.
