You just want to create a Mavericks USB thumb drive, right? If so, you don't need to erase Mavericks and you don't need to reinstall Snow Leopard.
While you're in Mavericks and at your Desktop, open the App Store. Go to the Purchases tab and click on the Download button on the right hand side across from OS X Mavericks. This will start the download of the OS X Mavericks installer. When it finishes and you see a screen that wants you to continue, go up to the menu bar and QUIT the installer (Install OS X). Do not click the Continue button.

Nobody get back to me on my other question, so I'm going to try again. I am making a PowerPoint for a meeting and I want to take a 3D PDF and have it spin or rotate on a continuous loop. How can I accomplish this?
Please ignore PowerPoint comment, I can make the 3D PDF no problem with my converter plug-in for AutoCAD. Once it is made though you can spin it by hand/mouse in Adobe. but I want a video like scene with the object spinning by itself for modeling purposes?

I don't want Adobe to open up and be selected immediately. I work with iPhoto and Ipages etc and preview which needs to be my main application for my work , but need adobe reader for other files... how can I do this please?

I entered the correct download code for "THE HOST" but instead got a copy of "SPRING BREAKERS"! All of the prompts identified it as "The Host" but the final product was "Spring Breakers"! I called a friend who has a copy of that movie and the download codes are not even remotely alike!! How can I correct this error? I 'd rather have SyFy that a bubblegum teenager flick!! I have a genre section 'Christmas' with around 130 songs on my classic ipod, but when I set it to play it only plays 10 songs than stops. I have also copied all of the genre to a new playlist 'Xmas' and the same thing happens with the same 10 songs. How can I fix this problem ?

Having several windows appear ...
Hi,
You can't create several windows for one VI. But you can use the "Tab Control" and change tab's in the program. Or you can use sub VI's and show ther front panels.
To show the front panel of a sub VI you have to open the VI you want to show and select "File->VI Properties". In the VI Properties window select Category "Window Appearance" and click Customize...
In the Customize Window Appearence window, here you can set a number of attributes for how the window will appear, select "Show front panel when called" and "Close afterwards if originally closed" click OK and OK and save the VI, done.
Now the VI front panel will appear then you use it as a sub VI.

I Upgraded to Mavericks. I was having problems being able to run TimeMachine so nothing has been able to back-up since the upgrade. I have tried using Carbon Copy Cloner to back up the hard drive, and have been unsucsessful due to a damaged file at Library/CoreServices/RawCamera.bundle. CCC takes days to try and find only those files it needs to back-up, so I have had to abort the back-up. I used TimeMachine before the Mavericks upgrade, but with Mavericks, it is not recognizing the old TimeMachine data and can't roll back to the previous software (Snow Leopard?).
How can I replace the corrupted files? Do I need to get a disc from Apple with the OSX software and then reload the operating system? Do I need to restore the operating system? Do I need to load Mavericks all over again and if so, how?Thank you so much for your recommendation. In the end, I was able to restore from a version of TimeMachine that I had on my external hard drive. I first tried to restore to the earliest version of Mavericks and it had all kinds of issues with my computer being slow and unresponsive. Seeing that this was not going to get me any improvements, I did a second restore to the last version of MountainLion that preceeded the upgrade to Mavericks, and voila, my MacMini is back to its peppy operation. My computer is now restored and functional again.
I am really puzzled why the folks at the Apple Genius Bar could not suggest this. I had taken the computer and back up hard drive to them, but they told me that my problem was data related, and they don't get into data recovery or back-up issues. But that was ultimately what restored my system back to normal. I think they need to be better schooled on the problems that can be solved using TimeMachine. They had my external disk drive and should have seen that it was capable of restoring my computer and suggested that I go home to try that. But instead.
