Hi All,problem in synchronizing toughbook

Hi All,
         Pls provide the solution for the problem  when synchronizing toughbook  .Its Urgent .

'Hi Bharat,
well, can you connect to the NWA from the Toughbook? It could be that you have some settings on the Toughbook that avoid this.
First test: Connect via Ethernet in the internal Network. Then try to sync - is this working? Is the setting correct?
If this is ok, then check via GPRS - first to call the Webservers J2EE Main page, then the NWA and finally try to sync.
The problem: it has nothing to do with the Hardware as such I think - even a Toughbook is a normal Laptop. The problem seems to be in the Landscape. Your URL setting is not correct or there is a Firewall in between blocking the access to the Server - or you have not setup the Toughbook to alllow TCP/IP calls at all.
So this is the area you need to look at.
Hope this helps to give you a hint where to look at to solve the issue!
Regards,
Oliver

  • Problems with synchronizing iCal with iCloud accounts on my Mac Pro

    I have problems with synchronizing iCal with iCloud calender accounts on my Mac Pro runnning OS 10.6.8
    (error message "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" på handlingen CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.)
    It works fine on iOS devices.

    Due to lacking hardware driver compatibility i our graphic production environment we can't upgrade to Lion.
    Does that mean that it after the closing of MobileMe is impossible to synchronize calenders to Mac's running OS 10.6.8 ??

  • Problems with synchronizing

    Hello,
    I am fairly new to using Dreamweaver CS5, but suddenly am having problems with synchronizing my projects. It was working fine until a few days ago, but I'll just list the steps of what happens now to try to make it clear.
    I refresh and click the sync button.
    I choose 'selected local files only' and 'put newer files to remote,' then 'preview.
    Then, Dreamweaver says it's connecting to my server, retreiving folder information, then complete.
    After that, it says that it's putting file temp2342.htm on my server.
    Then it says no synchronization is necessary...even though I do have newer files which haven't been put on my server.
    I've tried 'putting' individual files on the server, but it says 'file activity incomplete. 1 or more files not completed.'
    Up until a few days ago, the synchronization would work just fine and put the newer files on my server. I'm not sure what kind of setting I might have changed between now and then, but any ideas on how to fix this problem would be much appreciated!

    Call our customer care, they'll sort this out. You can find the details from "contact us" link on top of this page.

  • Problem reading all data from Synchronous Socket

    Hi,
    I have the task to implements an C# application which communicates with a SAP system via HTTP. My application should act as a HTTP Server to the SAP system. SAP sends documents (PDFs, Word-Docs, Tifs) through HTTP-Requests to my Server. Archive Link is SAP´s name for that HTTP interface.
    Currently I am using synchronous sockets to process the communication. So
    basically I do something like this:
            Thread th = new Thread(new ThreadStart(StartListenThreaded));
         th.Start();
    The method StartListenThread looks like this:
         private void StartListenThreaded()
                   IPAddress ipAddress = IPAddress.Parse("127.0.0.1");
                   IPEndPoint EndPoint = new IPEndPoint(ipAddress, port);
                   Socket ss = new Socket(AddressFamily.InterNetwork, SocketType.Stream, ProtocolType.Tcp);
                   ss.Bind( EndPoint);
                   ss.Listen(20);
                   try
                        while(true)
                             Console.WriteLine("rnServer is waiting for a new connection..rn");
                             Socket sock = ss.Accept();
                             Console.WriteLine("Accepted connection form:"+sock.RemoteEndPoint);
                             Connection con = new Connection(sock);
                             Thread t = new Thread(new ThreadStart(con.ProcessOneRequest));
                             t.IsBackground=true;
                             t.Priority=ThreadPriority.BelowNormal;
                             t.Start();
                   catch (System.Exception e1)
                   {  Console.WriteLine("An Exception Occurred while Listening :" +e1.ToString()); }
    As mentioned above There are mostly some Word-Documents or PDF files send as the body of a request. So I need to parse the body and write the content to a file.
    Currently I use this code to accomplish that:
         while (true)
             if(socket.Available == 0)
              break;
                n = socket.Receive(bytes);
             if(n == 0)
               break;
             wr.Write(bytes,0,n); // wr is a BinaryWriter
    Now my problem is that this loop breaks before all data is received from the socket. That means it runs into the socket.Available == 0 case and ends, but there is still data available. How did I find that out? Well during debugging the code.
    With the debugger running and when stepping through the code, obviously leaves the SAP side more time to send its data.
    When doing some Console.WriteLine() after the loop with the socket.Receive() I get results > 0. So there is still data available.
    I am not asking an SAP question here. I am aware that the problem could also be on the SAP side. However I think it is a C# issue. Has anyone experienced similar problems with sockets? Am I doing something completely wrong in handling my socket? I also don´t think that I can use Asynchronous sockets beacuse I need to process incoming requests in a determined order.
    I have also tryed to turn off Blocking mode by setting socket.Blocking = false but I found out that I cannon use that because I need NetworkStream at some point in my application and NetworkStream does not work without blocking mode.

    I have evaluated several other possibilities before starting to implement HTTP on a socket basis. I only have this choice.
    I have had a detailed look at Cassini before, but since you mentioned it in your post I looked at it more closely and I think I found a solution for my Problem.
    Cassini uses some code like the following to poll for more data in a request. I am now using this mechanism in my application and it works fine.
              private int WaitForRequestBytes()
                   int availBytes = 0;
                   try
                        Console.WriteLine("socket.Available: " + socket.Available);
                        if (socket.Available == 0)
                             // poll until there is data
                             Console.WriteLine("Polling 100ms");
                             socket.Poll(100000 /* 100ms */, SelectMode.SelectRead);
                             if (socket.Available == 0 && socket.Connected)
                                  Console.WriteLine("Polling 1sec");
                                  socket.Poll(1000000 /* 1sec */, SelectMode.SelectRead);
                                  // socket.Poll(10000000 /* 10sec */, SelectMode.SelectRead);
                        availBytes = socket.Available;
                   catch
                   return availBytes;
    So thanks for putting me in the right direction.

  • Performance problem with synchronized singleton

    I'm using the singleton pattern to cache incoming JMS Message data from a 3rd party. I'm seeing terrible performance though, and I think it's because I've misunderstood something.
    My singleton class stores incoming JMS messages in a HashMap, so that successive messages can be checked to see if they are a new piece of data, or an update to an earlier one.
    I followed the traditional examples of a private constructor and a public getInstance method, and applied the double-checked locking to the latter. However, a colleague then suggested that all my other methods in the same class should also be synchronized - is this the case or am I creating an unnecessary performance bottleneck? Or have I unwittingly created that bottleneck elsewhere?
    package com.mycode;
    import java.util.HashMap;
    import java.util.Iterator;
    public class DataCache {
        private volatile static DataCache uniqueInstance;
        private HashMap<String, DataCacheElement> dataCache;
        private DataCache() {
            if (dataCache == null) {
                dataCache = new HashMap<String, DataCacheElement>();
        public static DataCache getInstance() {
             if (uniqueInstance == null) {
                synchronized  (DataCache.class) {
                    if (uniqueInstance == null) {
                        uniqueInstance = new DataCache();
            return uniqueInstance;
        public synchronized void put(String uniqueID, DataCacheElement dataCacheElement) {
            dataCache.put(uniqueID, dataCacheElement);
        public synchronized DataCacheElement get(String uniqueID) {
            DataCacheElement dataCacheElement = (DataCacheElement) dataCache.get(uniqueID);
            return dataCacheElement;
        public synchronized void remove(String uniqueID) {
            dataCache.remove(uniqueID);
        public synchronized int getCacheSize() {
         return dataCache.keySet().size();
         * Flushes all objects from the cache that are older than the
         * expiry time.
         * @param expiryTime (long milliseconds)
        public synchronized void flush(long expiryTime) {
            String uniqueID;
            long currentDate = System.currentTimeMillis();
            long compareDate = currentDate - (expiryTime);
            Iterator<String> iterator = dataCache.keySet().iterator();
            while( iterator.hasNext() ){
                // Get element by unique key
                uniqueID = (String) iterator.next();
                DataCacheElement dataCacheElement = (DataCacheElement) get(uniqueID);
                // get time from element
                long lastUpdatedDate = dataCacheElement.getUpdatedDate();
                // if time is greater than 1 day, remove element from cache
                if (lastUpdatedDate <  compareDate) {
                    remove(uniqueID);
        public synchronized void empty() {
            dataCache.clear();

    The theory behind double-checked locking is perfect. Unfortunately, reality is entirely different. The problem with double-checked locking is that there is no guarantee it will work on single or multi-processor machines.
    The issue of the failure of double-checked locking is not due to implementation bugs in JVMs but to the current Java platform memory model. The memory model allows what is known as "out-of-order writes" and is a prime reason why this idiom fails[b].
    I had a read of that article and have a couple of questions about it:
    1. The article was written way back in May 2002 - is the issue they describe relevant to Java 6's memory model? DCL will work starting with 1.4 or 1.5, if you make the variable you're testing volatile. However, there's no reason to do it.
    Lazy instantiation is almost never appropriate, and for those rare times when it is, use a nested class to hold your instance reference. (There are examples if you search for them.) I'd be willing to be lazy instantiation is no appropriate in your case, so you don't need to muck with syncing or DCL or any of that nonsense.

  • Readers Writers problem and Synchronized doubts

    I made this code for implementing some Lock because I have to permit the write/read action on shared file between different threads. I would like to let more than one thread reading at the same time and just one for the writing
    This is my code, it's in italian but in english the class name would be AccessManager
    import java.io.Serializable;
    public class GestoreAccessi implements Serializable{
    //number of reader
    private int lettori= 0;
    //flag for someone writing
    private boolean scrittura= false;
    //number of writer waiting
    private int scrittoriAttesa = 0;
    private String nome;
    //Il gestore accessi prende un nome
    public GestoreAccessi(String nom) {
    nome = nom;
    //Blocco per la lettura -- Lock for Reading
    public synchronized void lockRead() {
    try {
    //Fino a che c'e' qualcuno in scrittura o processi che aspettano per la scrittura mi metto in attesa -- If ther is some thread writing or waiting for write
    while (scrittura || scrittoriAttesa > 0) {
    wait();
    //Altrimenti aumento la variabile dei thread in lettura -- Add one thread reading
    ++lettori;
    } catch (InterruptedException ex) {
    //Fine del processo di lettura -- Finish reading
    public synchronized void unlockRead() {
    --lettori;
    // solo gli scrittori sono in attesa e uno soltanto deve essere svegliato
    if (lettori == 0) {
    notifyAll();
    //Blocco per la scrittura -- Start Writing
    public synchronized void lockWrite() {
    ++scrittoriAttesa;
    //Fino a che ci sono lettori o qualcuno che scrive aspetto -- if there are readers o someone writing
    while (lettori > 0 || scrittura) {
    try {
    wait();
    } catch (InterruptedException ex) {
    --scrittoriAttesa;
    //Altrimenti inizio il processo di lettura -- Start the process of reading
    scrittura = true;
    //Fine del processo di scrittura
    public synchronized void unlockWrite() {
    scrittura = false;
    notifyAll(); // sblocca uno o piu' lettori o uno scrittore
    Before all critical part I create a GestoreAccessi object and invoce the .lock.. method and finish the critical part the .unlock.. Do you think it's a good way to solve the problem?
    I have some doubts on the multiple reading at the same time. I read on synchronized: "First, it is not possible for two invocations of synchronized methods on the same object to interleave. When one thread is executing a synchronized method for an object, all other threads that invoke synchronized methods for the same object block (suspend execution) until the first thread is done with the object.
    Second, when a synchronized method exits, it automatically establishes a happens-before relationship with any subsequent invocation of a synchronized method for the same object. This guarantees that changes to the state of the object are visible to all threads."
    It's possible to two different thread read at the same time? The .lockRead() method is synchronized: if one thread has acess in a critical part it takes the lock and no other thread would be able to have an access on the same part?! How can i do this? I have not to declare synchronized the read method?
    Please help me and sorry for my bad english!!
    Bless from Italy

    Multiple threads and even applications can read the same file at the same time; it is writing that is problematic.
    There is nothing in what you posted that even shows any 'file' manipulation so no comments can be made about that.
    It looks like you took those quotes from this Java Tutorial Page on Synchronizeds Methods
    http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/essential/concurrency/syncmeth.html
    Those quotes are accurate as far as synchronizing a particular instance is concerned but that would not prevent some other code from trying to read/write the same file. But again, you code doesn't even include any file-related objects that you are trying to control access to.
    See the Java Tutorial section on 'Lock Objects'

  • Synchronization problems in synchronized block

    I am facing problems in the synchronizaed block similar to this :
    sychronized(object)
    //object manipulations
    object notifyAll();
    I am facing a problem when 2 requests are fired at the same time and none of them enter this block. Since this is re\lated to the server, server is getting freezed and none of the further requests are entertained.
    Please help me in this.
    Thanks is advance.

    Thanks for all your replies.
    Let me a bit more clearer about my problem.
    I have
    1. 2 classes which have synchronized blocks on one object of a different class
    2. This object which is synchronized is shared among both the classes.
    When an individual request comes, it is processes without any issues. Sometimes, when multiple requests come simultaneously when lock on the object is free, none of requests get the lock on the object. I tried putting a breakpoint where lock is provided, none of the threads are entering the synchronized block.
    So at this point server is not able to entertain any of the further requests also.

  • Hi all problem with sql server 2008 in sap b1 2005 PL38,42

    Hello Sir,
    We are also facing this problem. Our client has purchased SQL 2008 & we have installed SAP B1 PL 05 & also we have to upgrade it to PL 26 atleast for installing TDS Add on 4.8 so that Project runs smoothly.
    Can u specify the status? i.e. at what stage is that upgradation? or by how much time this problem will be solved? Bcoz we are on the stage of test go live & we cant take back up of database of SQL 2008 & restore it in SQL 2005. We will have to do all settings in new company with database in SQL 2005.
    Pls reply at the earliest.

    Hi Nilesh,
    I wonder how you got B1 installed properly on MSSQL 2008, as MSSQl 2008 comes with a new Native Client connection.
    Anyway I see two options:
    (1) Keep the system as it is, meaning no upgrades of B1 and pray nothing will happen as long MSSQL Server 2008 is not supported.
    (2) In order to get a supported environment the better option would be, to try a combination of CopyExpress and DTW and get all data and settings transfered into a new MSSQL 2005 based Database.

    i have been trying this..but it doesnt simply works...i posted a thread a while ago on making the wrt54g work on my existing ADSL conection..whola...i figured it out..n thx all o u guys for replyin...
    now i have a bigger,meaner problem.Before tunring ma ADSL wireless , my p2p and torrents were working fine with the help of the proxy.(since my connection is comin from the neighbourhood who has a 1 mb dsl and who distributes it with the help of proxy or ISA server ..don know jack wat dat means...)but newaz..dey were just f9 with ISA cleint installed on ma pc ..and conecting/surfing through the proxy configuration.
    Well now i have dis wrt54g attached and am no more using a proxy n my ISA server is disabled as well..am surfing through a direct static IP,DNS and gateway(provided by the neighbourhood guy,ofcourse)and the DHCP has provided a static IP to ma PC as well..thorugh which i surf the net...but dats it..i mean all i can do iz surf while my p2p and torrents just don seem to work no matter what i do.
    i even forwarded the ports(UDP & TCP) manually thru windos firewall and the router but the problem persists.I even enabled the DMZ function but in vain....
    and guess what..whenever i chek thru the Utorent client...it has a function which lets u check whether ur port is enabled or not through a website..it tell me that the port is OFF..it says "error! port 6881 is disabled on 45.123.76.234"
    i mean dis is not even my DHCP ip..nor dis is ma static ip..it might be the da ip of that neighbourhood guy cuz it keeps on changing everyday..
    guyz i dont see a solution until i get an individual DSL but still..am leavin this to u masterminds out dere...who knows....

  • WRT54G Version 7.0 - mother of all problems: Why are the DNS-fields in the status blank?

    Ever since the purchase of my WRT54G Version 7.0 WLAN Router two years, I kept getting IP- and DNS-problems, but recently, I cannot access websites anymore at all. As I've already replaced the thing with another router months ago and just now, started to set it up at a friend's place while getting the same problems (with every single computer in the network), I'm sure that the problem lies at the router. All Windows computers report in uni sono that there may be a DNS problem. Firmware is up to date to 7.00.4. Ironically, LinkSys doesn't seem to feature drivers downloads to Version 7.0 anymore, though.
    I've got the DHCP-server function activated, left the IP-address to 192.168.1.1 and the DNS-addresses 1, 2 and 3 to the usual 0.0.0.0. I didn't change the default WINS 0.0.0.0, either.
    Interestingly, however, when switching to the status tab, the DNS1, DNS2 and DNS3-fields remain completely blank. Therefore, I assume that the router doesn't run any DNS with 0.0.0.0-setup.
    Now, how can I make this expensive thing take up the DNS-tasks so that all those computers can access websites again?

    Who is your Internet Service Provider ?
    What is the IP Address you are getting on the status page of the router ?
    What is the IP Address you are getting when connected to the modem directly ?
    You can Download  the firmware for WRT54G V7 (7.00.8)
    Try this :
    Press and hold the reset button for 60 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • Problem with Synchronous abap proxy time out

    Hi there.
    I have the following scenario:
                      sync                   sync
    3rd party <-->  PI    <--
    >  ERP
                       http                    abap proxy
    In the implementing class on the abap proxy i'm calling an standard BAPI, followed by a commit and returning the result.
    The 3rd party app has a mechanism that when a message fails, he'll retry each 5 mins until it gets the response.
    Last night there where some delays on ERP that cause the sync mesages to timeout, the 3rd party retried about 10 times to send the message until it finally went off. This morning i check and i have the same message 11 times on ERP!!, to my understanding if the sync comm timed out the process will abort and  the message will not be processed on ERP, does anybody knows if im missing some configuration for this to work this way??.
    Kind Regards,
    Roberto.
