Wilbert

It won,t let me buy anything
An iPod does not have the ability to prevent you from buying music.
If whatever online music store you are using is not working for you, try a different one.  Here are a couple of suggestions:
Amazon MP3
Google Play Music
You can buy music from any online source, add it to your iTunes library, and sync it to your iPod.

  • What is it that resets the Music Location when iTunes starts?

So whenever you have your Music Location set to a mount on a remote device. Such as a share on a Time Capsule for instance if the mount isn't present when iTunes starts iTunes will always reset the Music Location back to it's default.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
Can I make it so that mount is always available before iTunes or iTunes Helper starts?
Both I and my wife on her Air want to share the same remote device for our music library but we don't want iTunes to keep reseting the Music Location.

Option selects the iTunes library file, which is most likely in the /Music/iTunes folder on the Mac HD.
The iTunes music folder is on the Time Capsule which needs to be mounted.
As Robert noted, add the Time Capsule to your Login items.

  • Automatically play music when iTunes starts? is it possible?

    hello,
i just wanted to know if there is any way to automatically start playing songs when iTunes starts.
    Thanks in advance.

Is there any way to restore this!?!
You can usually redownload content through your iTunes Store account. Some content that is redownloadable is determined by the country where you live. However, have you not been also storing all of your iTunes content in the media libraries in the iTunes app on your computer?

  • ITunes Library.itl keeps disappearing when iTunes starts

I just updated to iTunes 10.8.0.40.  Now my iTunes Library.itl file keeps disappearing.
When iTunes starts, I get a message that says, "The iTunes Library.itl file cannot be found or created.  The default location for this file is in the "iTunes" folder inthe "Music" folder."
I copy a backup from the "Previous iTunes Library" folder and then iTunes will start.  However, the file disappears again as iTunes is starting.  Right after it disappears, iTunes displays a message that says, "Checking iTunes Library..." followed by "Updating iTunes Library..."  Then I get a message that says, "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved.  A folder was specified instead of a file."
The process repeats endlessly.  How do I stop iTunes from deleting the iTunes Library.itl file as it starts?

I fixed this by removing iTunes and installing MediaMonkey.  Most of the music I have in iTunes has been ripped from my CDs and MediaMonkey found all of those MP3's within a couple minutes.  The last time I had to rebuild my iTunes database, it took two days because I couldn't figure out how to stop it from analyzing the volume.  The few albums that I bought through iTunes, I will burn to a CD and re-rip.  Despite the name, MediaMonkey seems to be a much better program for managing music and runs significantly faster on my little HP mini.
This is the fourth and last time I'm dealing with the problem of iTunes deleting my database.  Good riddance iTunes.

I have a problem. When I start to sync music to my iPod touch, you have to enter the password of your account. I downloaded the game from the general account, and do not always know the password. He writes that if I do not login, then the game will be erased. Previously, this was not. When starting to sync music, it did not touch my programs, and now because of this music can not be transferred to iPods. PANIC AT ME! HELP

If they are Tunes purchased music you have to sing into the account that purchased them.
Is this the iTunes library/computer you sync with? You can rally only "sync" with one iTunes library/computer.However, yo can manually manage music and videos among different libraries/computer. See the manual method of:

  • IPod Unit in Computer Resources list disappears when iTunes Starts

When iTunes Starts and detects the iPod device the iPod disk resource, in computer resource list (e.g. iPod (G:)) disappears. In this way any action I made to iPod fails.
I tried all but it doesn't working.
    help me....

I tried two different USB ports each a failure. Other USB items are as follows: wireless mouse + keyboard bundle, wireless network adapter, digital camera (sits there all the time), and 500 GB Western Digital external hard drive. I am on a network but nothing from the iPod or iTunes accompanying folders are shared. Originally I had G: but it is now I:.
At the moment it works again (for now). I don't know why it worked for me but I tried a non-official iPod song loader and when that didn't work I just deleted everything on the iPod (hidden files too) and the next time iTunes tried syncing it asked to set up new iPod controls. After that it stayed on the My Computer folder and I could reload songs through iTunes. I haven't tried it more than this once because I don't want to jinx it. I don't suggest my way because it was probably dumb luck.

Ive just upgraded my late 2009 macbook, and things are not working properly. First of all, when I started the computer first time after installing Mountain Lion, some message advised me that some files were impossible to install. Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

    We're sorry.

It appears that Itunes disconnects my Ipod from the pc. My Ipod still sync's up fine with Itunes on my old Windows XP pc.

Is iTunes endlessly saying "Accessing iTunes Store"? Or is something a bit different going on?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
    Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

  • Error message came up when i tried to upload music onto iPod

When I went to upload songs onto my ipod, itunes told me that there wasn't enough space on my ipod to hold all of my songs. i thought nothing of it so i just deleted some of the songs i didn't listen to anymore.
i went to re-upload my music and an error message popped up stating: "Songs on ipod cannot be synced because all of the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist".
    Any advice?
Would restoring my iPod fix this problem?
    Thanks!!!

Plug the ipod in, and when it connects to iTunes go into your "Music" tab for the iPod.
Under "Sync Music" you will currently have "Selected playlists" selected. In the box under that, uncheck any playlists that currently do not exist in your iTunes Sourcelist.
At this point you could either select playlists that you do want to sync to the ipod ... or, if you've trimmed your library enough, you could just select "All songs and playlists" (up under "Sync Music"). Now click the Apply button and you should be syncing again.
