Hi,
Am unable to transfer or sync purchases from my computer to iPad.The problem being once i connect my iPad with my computer through USB the sync option is not higlighted, or I dont find my device showing any where in iTunes.In the earlier verion I was able to sync everything, when I updated to 6.1.3 am unble to do so.Moreover I have changed my laptop to a new one but have authorised it already.Please do suggest me what shall i do ?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It sounds like your iTunes isn't recognizing that you have your iPad plugged in. If that's that case, I'd check out the following article and the troubleshooting steps within should resolve the issue:

    You can follow this method if you have the recovery cds with you.Use Lenovo's secure data disposal and wipe the entire HDD clean, then use your discs to restore to the default factory settings.

  • HT4236 I synced photos from my computer to ipad 2. I do not see any of the photos on the camera roll.

    I have itunes 11.0.2.26 version. I synced photos from my laptop to my ipad2. It correctly displays the size occupied on the itunes window on the laptop. But in my ipad I do not see any of the pictures. In the folder that I synced from on the laptop, the ipod photo cache folder got created and there are some folder in it.
    How can I view the photos in my ipad?

    The procedure you describe is putting content from two different IDs into a single library, which can readily be done.
    However, each item of purchased content will still be tied to the ID from which it was originally purchased, and they will be treated separately for purposes of Cloud, Match, Purchase History, etc.

    Connect your phone to itunes as you have been doing.
    In the sidebar, select you phone and then on the main part of the iTunes window, select Music.
    Check the Sync Music box and then you can either sync all music, or select the tracks/albums/artists/genres as you wish.
    Once selected, at the bottom right on the maon iTunes window, select Sync.
    Music will now be copied to you phone.

    try resetting the device by holding down the home and sleep key, past the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
    Also, try finding a free app, any free app, download it on your ipad then see if that gets your others to work.You can delete the free app if it works (or if it doesn't for that matter)

    The sync key is listed in the Saved Passwords which can be found at https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options%20window%20-%20Security%20panel it will be listed as chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Encryption Passphrase) then click the show passwords button to view the sync key.

    Then restore from you Mac laptop's backup, if you have not been backing up then you may be in for a very painful lesson on why backing up is the VERY FIRST thing you should do with any new Mac. Create a backup plan and use it on a regular basis. If the laptop was using 10.5.x or later then you have absolutely no excuse for not backing up. Sorry for being terse and blunt but Time Machine has been built into 10.5.x, 10.6.x and 10.7.x so we have had years to have a seamless and mindless method of backing up. If you have been using an earlier verision of OS X there are quite a number of methods of backing up.
    If you aren't successful then take the laptop and iMac to your local Apple Store or AASP and they may be able to help you recover your contacts.

    You are correct.  Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases.  You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again:  Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.
