iTunes is already installed. There no longer is an iMessage. iMessage is now part of Messages. iMovie should be a free download for you when you open App Store along with iPhoto and GarageBand.

You cannot. Your best course of action is to immediately change all your internet passwords, notify the police and your insurance company. Send the remote wipe command to the MBA through iCloud.com and buy a new one from the insurance reimbursement.

when i start with T it wont to be used in harddrive mode

i tried to start with a system on a usb key, same problem
the ahrdrive appears on the screen, i choose it then the apple stay but the circle under apple turn and turns long time i need to shut down after sevral muinutes or hours

ok i have gone through a lot of ipads and iphones and a couple laptops this year and i am trying to get my new mac book air to play and be authorized for sync and all that on it. I go to authorize it and it says that all my authorizatiuons aree used on that account but it doesnt allow me to deauthorize any pf the devices --- and it says i cant deauthorize all of them untio octiber 2012 - what and how do i change the devices

Double click that file then follow the instructions.
It's only a 215MB file so it shouldn't take long to download depending on your internet speed.

Hi all, i am hearing a sound inside my Mac Pro over 2 months before, on both power and battery, not a time specific, i hear a "tictac" sound like Wall Clock Pendulum, beneath the keyboard, i can feel it my hand while typing, it is very clear, could anybody of help please?

Start your MBP with the StartupManager:

You should see two HDD icons. Select the recovery partition (on the right).
From the 4 option menu select Disk Utility,
Select Disk Utility>First Aid, and run Verify and then Repair.
This should tell you if there are any issues with the HDD.
Do backup your data if you value it.

HT6023 I am not able to see Inspect and other tabs. I have recently bought my Mac Book Air and updated it to OS X Mavericks and have latest iMovie 10.0.1.

I am not seeing the band in between the Library and Project that has Play button and other command buttons. When I go to IMovie and Preferances, I see the
only options as follows "Clip: Apply Slow motion automatically" and Theater : Automatically upload content to icloud. But various forum discussions mention that this should open up options for browser tab, inspector tab etc. I looked at other menu's and I do not find anything. Can somebody help solve this.

After repeated search, I found my answer. I have both iMovie App on my Mac. Sadly they don't share the library or events. I liked the version 9 having inspect tab and others where you could manually enter many values which in version 10 takes hec of playing around with your mouse.
For example, In version 10 you have hold the mouse or trackpad to adjust the % of sound of strip and still may not get to desired value. In version 9, you can bring up a window for adjusting audio and enter the values directly. This is user friendly.
I guess, I have to live with two versions for a while. App store does no longer haver version 9. Hope any new updates to OS wont automatically delete version 9.

I hope you enabled "Find My Mac" on that computer, because with any luck, Logging into your iCloud account could yield its location if the thief tries to use the computer. It ain't much, but it's a far stretch better than just "reporting it" to the police.

Go to your Finder. You will see the drive listed with a little arrow with a bar below it next to the drive. Click on that to "eject" it.

Make sure which OS X is installed currently.
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
If your Mac is running v10.8.3 as your profile indicates, there's a workaround for updates.
Download and install the OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo)
Then restart your Mac.
The only way to verify that the update has been installed is to wait until your Mac restarts to the Desktop. Then check About This Mac.

Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.

If you get a dual-boot (e.g. boot camp) or an emulator on the Mac (e.g. Parallels Desktop) then you might be able to - but I think that you will need to install a version of windows on the Mac.
