hi, attempting to export h.264 for an mp4 file, but premiere cc automatically making m4v with two sep. files. This never happened before. The project had an issue with the GPu and I had to hack the cusa text file. I'm wondering if I messed something up and what should I do to retify. Thanks

Correct except that at the end of encode it stays as two sep files..with
this proj. I narrowed it down vrb1 vs vbr2.. its a two hour project. I just
attempted a second attempt at vbr1..it should work. I will keep everyone
posted..thank you all for the responses. I will be sure to be in contact
with youu all.

Attempted to install windows 7 for dual boot but OSX installation now missing???

I've tried to install Wndows 7 on my macbook air for dual boot but got the kernal error on boot.
I loaded from the CD again and it sucessfully installed win 7 but when I start the macbook air up it only appears to have windows installed?
How can I get my OSX back?

For some odd reason when you use bootcamp to install the second OS bootcamp is defaulted as the primary OS you will need to hold option key to select the apple OS then in the sys preference under startup disk select apple as primary.

Trying to export into MP4 but premiere pro takes to long.

I am trying out premiere pro for the first time. I need to be able to export video into MP4. the video does eventually export but takes way too long. almost 15 minutes to export a 13 minute video. every export starts out fine until the file gets to 100% then it just sits there for a long time before finally finishing the export. is this because of my computer? In using a windows 7 with a intel core i5-3350 cpu @ 3.10ghz, 8.g ram 64 bit operating system. and a nividia graphics card

How many and what size/speed are your hard drives?
What effects have you applied to your edit, and what are you editing?

Premiere and Media Encoder CC with Cineform(converted files have static for audio)

Hi there,
using Media Encoder CC to convert 7D and 5DMKIII video files to Cineform .avi and all I'm getting at the other end for audio is loud static. Video is fine but audio is corrupt. Anyone run into this with CC? I didn't have this problem before CC.

Do you have the same problem with other AVI codecs? What about non-AVI options?

Friend installed lightroom cc and now cannot run Fishsim 2 (for general use and competitions)as it comes up with faulty picture files any work around to stop lightroom doing this He needs lightroom for his photo work and cannot uninstall it

Can anyone solve this problem as this is a world wide community (Fishsim) and its a shame that this person cannot fish our competitions

he did reinstall other program with no results
I do know that sometimes installing 1 program does interfere with
other programs and just because lightroom has not done it before
does not mean it wont do it.
The main problem is that fishsim has faulty jpeg files in it only
since LR installed and it wont load.

How should I start my project for editing MP4 in Premiere E9

Hello,
I am new to the forums and to video/picture editing in general. The main disconnect I have is with all the different formats and such.
Long story short. I have Premiere elements 9. Im using a Flip Ultra HD (to my understanding it produces MP4).
I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of the most accurate way to start my project in Premiere elements 9.

You should select the Settings for a Flip Mino/Ultra HD project, then use Get Media to get the files from your camcorder into your computer.

Bought for PS3 updates, but now WRT54G2 is making my mouse jumpy on PC

For whatever reason, after getting the router setup, my mouse is jumpy on my PC, on desktop, not just internet. Our whole purpose for getting the router was for our PS3 so we could do updates without having to remove the PS3 from it's cabinet to connect to PC. We are running our Phone Company's router with this one both, because phone, cable, and internet all run through the original router. Is the router not powerful enough, did we buy the wrong one, is there somekind of interference? SOmeone please help me.

Exporting from Quicktime for optimal editing in FinalCut Express

I've read that it is recommended to export H.264 for best quality in Quicktime, but Final Cut Express doesn't play H.264 in real time. It forces you to render if you want to edit in the timeline. What is the best format to export from Quicktime in to enable real time editing in FCE?

To convert the file so that FCE doesn't need rendering you need QuickTime Pro and do the following:
- open the file
- menu File > Export...: then select +Export: Movie to QuickTime Movie+ and click Options.
- In the +Video > Settings+ dialog select:
- Compression Type: DV/DVCPRO-NTSC (or DV-PAL) and make sure that:
- Frame Rate: 29.97 (or 25), Quality is Best, Scan Mode: Interlaced, Aspect Ratio: 4:3 (or 16:9 if anamorphic)
- In the +Sound > Settings+ dialog select:
- Format: Linear PCM, Channels: Stereo (L R), Rate: 48000, Quality: Normal, Sample size: 16 bits
The result is a .mov file (not .dv) that doesn't need rendering when imported to FCE to a sequence with setup DV-NTSC (or PAL).

Exporting Display Banners for Google Ad Network

I'm attempting to export display banners for the Google Ad Network, but Google will only allow Flash versions 4-10.1. Minimum export option for Flash Pro CC is 10.3. Surely someone has encountered and developed a workaround. Right?

That makes it easy enough . I had to edit out the personal info, you don't want the spiders to index your number and end up in the mega spam network db.
I wanted to check Flash CC out anyhow despite I spend 99% of my time in Flash Builder and just wanted to verify you can use 10.1 with it. Using the code above I was able to generate errors because StageVideo was introduced in 10.2.
