First, how are you trying to play them? You need to play them by clicking on library on the left side of iTunes and clicking on music. The whle song will play by doing this.

Does anyone know how i can get the older versions of the ipod software on my nano because my nano had a feature that when i held down the menu button for a couple of seconds, the backlight turned on.......well ever since i downloaded the most recent software, everytime i hold down the menu button, it goes directly to the menu(which im not very enthusiastic about). Can anyone please help me if you can? I appreciate your help=)
i agree with you 100%, i really want that feature back! it was so useful being able to turn the backlight on and off whenever i wanted. unfortunately im in the same boat as you are as i dont know how to get the old software

So I updated to OS X Maverick(s) and backuped my harddrive and got a new one installed, everything seems okay but some things are missing in my settings like the software update icon. Does anyone know how I can get it back?
Okay so I asked someone from apple and they said that the software update icon is gone but its functions have been merged with the app store icon on the settings menu. Crisis averted haha!

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

I have not been sent a serial number after subscribing to Captivate for a year. Does anyone know how I can get it? Or how to actually speak to someone in Adobe ??? Very frustrating!
ThanksYou have to just sign in with your Adobe Id during the installation process and it will validate your subscription from the activation server. Once your Id is validated then your subscription will be activated. You don't need serial number to activate subscription.

10.9 is free, so you could upgrade to that if you wished
if that's not an option for software compatibility reasons, you'd either need to re-install it from the original disks (that came with the computer, or a seperate iLife disc), a backup, or purchase a boxed version from someplace like eBay or Amazon (Amazon has iLife '11 for $39) -

I believe you may be referring to the $49 ASL agreement at AppleCare? That is only when/if you are out of AppleCare Protection.
Can you get to an AppleStore Genius Bar?
They may be able to fix this for you. No charge.
I highly doubt that. There is a $70 charge for troubleshooing software issues, EVEN IF there is AppleCare Warranty on the hardware.
However, since there is no charge for an appointment at a Bar, go make one, and see what options they give you. Let us know how it goes. -
Anyone know how I can get an audio file imported into my iTunes' podcast directory, rather than the music directory?

They were imported into my "music" directory instead, making it more difficult for me to recall where I left off with the last podcast I listened to before having to stop it for whatever reason.
