iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If the above does not resolve your issue, I recommend we reset the SC Info folder:
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

I have Windows XP, and when trying to burn an iTunes playlist to an Audio CD, I get a message saying "Disc burner or Software not found". I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes, but I still can't burn to disc. Any suggestions?
Try HT203242: iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install.

After I installed the latest version of ITunes I get a message saying I'm missing the SQlite3.dll file. I have even unistalled the new version and then re-installed, still same message.
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Now paste it in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll. -

I'm trying to install the latest version of iTunes but I still have the older version but I'm unable to uninstall it. I couldn't update it either. What do I do?
What computer OS are you using? What happens when you try and uninstall it, since you say it doesn't work?

I have a windows 8 computer and I installed the newest version of itunes because I used to have an ipod and I have a few purchases that I wanted to listen to. When I try to play them it says it's playing but I can't hear anything. It does not even says it's played the whole way. It just stays at the beginning. It won't let me pause. I checked my computer sound and there is nothing wrong with it. So there must be some software problem but idk what it is. If anyone can help I would appreciated. Thank-you

It sounds like there is an issue burning CD's in iTunes. Is the playback issue only occurring on a specific device and does the disc show up correctly in iTunes? I am not at my computer right now but I have Firefox version 3.6 (not 4). When I install the latest Adobe flash (version 10.something), my computer crashes whenever I go to any website with any form of information or data that requires the Adobe flash. It's strange, on my work issued Windows laptop I have no issues syncing my iPhone to iTunes. But on my personal MacBook, iTunes does not pick up my iPhone when I connect via USB. Any advice on this please?
