  • I have urgent need to contact tech support. I have a Gold account but it is so difficult to talk tec

We have a new Coldfusion 10 server that becomes unresponsive .

Don't know, but we've had the same problem.  No response for days on end, despite Gold support on our CF servers.  Every once in awhile a tech on our end will get lucky and a tech on their end will answer the phone, but really doesn't seem worth the money ...

  • Urgent please rsvp asap, POP acct. erased by bad tech, Recoverable???

I had what started as a small problem where my mailbox onmy mail server was full and needed to be erased. Had to get on server through browser. Had to change password temp to do this, afterwords it rejected the password through Mac mail. I have a macbook pro 10.4.6. After three hours the tech said we had to re-build from scratch the POp acct. I was very reluctant but was assured easy, no WARNINg AT ALL! Was told to hit minus key in mail prefs and my email acct was destroyed taking all in and out mail with it. Is this recoverable? if so please rsvp asap to [email protected] TYVM to any guru out there who can help me. ALL MY Business for 6 months was wiped!!!
    Thx
    J

The "tech" that told you to do this despite your concerns, and without telling you to make a backup copy of your data first, just in case, was bad, indeed. If you deleted the account, then all your mail stored in that account's mailboxes has certainly been wiped out, not just moved somewhere, and you were warned that this would happen by the following alert:
    Remove Account
Are you sure you want to remove the <AccountType> account "<AccountName>"?
This will permanently delete the account setup information, mailboxes, and messages from your computer. Messages stored on the mail server will not be affected.
For each mail account, Mail creates a folder within ~/Library/Mail/ whose name starts with the account type (POP, IMAP, .Mac), followed by the account username and the incoming mail server. Deleting the account causes this folder and everything within it to be deleted as well.
If you don't have a backup of your Mail folder prior to deleting the account, your only hope of salvaging those messages is using a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, and try to recover as many *.emlx files as possible. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try this, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.
If the messages were still on the server, you would be able to download them again (received ones only, not sent ones) but I guess that's not the case either, is it?

  • Urgent Help Needed from MSI Tech!!

I have currently 65MB Kingston PC 133 and the system will boot all the way to Windows and stay stable.
I put 256MB Kingston PC 133 RAM and Windowns doesn`t detect anything more than 65MB.
MY PC then keeps resetting and even at some points powering off.  Could the problem be main board damage or something ?
Beside the DIMM slots are 2 small black transistors or something and 1 has a burn mark on it.
    PLZ HELP!!!

  • *URGENT HELP REQUIRED* java.sql.SQLException: Invalid Oracle URL specifed

    Hi all,
In the middle of the last week for my final year project and having to convert to an Oracle database due to compatibility problems with university Tomcat Server and MS Access. I'm having trouble connecting to the Oracle database and would appreciate some help please.
Running on Windows 98 in the lab here, and the Oracle 9i, release 9.2.0.2.0, J2SDK1.4.0, Classes12.zip installed OK.
Code for connection looks like this inside the constructor of my class:
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    cardSaleConnexion = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:[email protected]:1521:sid","user_name","pwdt");
    System.out.println("Connection Successful ");
And I'm getting the following error when calling the constructor in a driver program:
    java.sql.SQLException: Invalid Oracle URL specified

Please reply on a very urgent basis.
    Kind regards,

Try ojdbc14.jar as the JDBC driver instead of classes12.zip.
    Refer:
    http://otn.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/htdocs/jdbc9201.html
    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-5603-10/index.html
    Database Driver
This section describes the known database driver issues and associated solutions.
    ID      Summary
4700531      On Solaris, an ORACLE JDBC driver error occurs.
This new Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) driver is for Oracle (R) working with JDK1.4. The problem is caused by a combination of the Oracle 9.1 database and ojdbc14.jar. Applying the patch will fix the problem on Solaris 32-bit machine, running an Oracle 9.0.1.3 database.
         Solution
Obtain and apply the patch to your server from the Oracle Web site for Bug 2199718. Perform the following steps:
1.Go to the Oracle web site.
         2.Click the 'patches' button.
3.Type 2199718 in the patch number field.
         4.Click the 32-bit Solaris OS patch.Go to Metalink.oracle.com.
         5.Click patches.
         6.Under patch number, enter 2199718.
7.Click the 32 bit Solaris OS patch.
4707531      On Solaris, accessing an Oracle 9.1 database with an Oracle 9.2 Client may cause data corruption.
If you use an Oracle (R) 9.2 client to access an Oracle 9.1 database, data corruption might occur when a number column follows a timestamp column.
The problem might be caused by using the ojdbc14.jar file with an Oracle 9.1 database. Applying the patch might assist in addressing the situation on Solaris 32-bit machines, running an Oracle 9.1 database. This JDBC driver is for Oracle working with JDK1.4.
         Solution
Obtain the patch that Oracle might make available from the Oracle web site for Bug 2199718 and apply it to your server.

    Pankaj D.

  • URGENT: Java stored procedure on oracle 92 database is not working

    Hi,
I am having an issue regarding java stored procedures. I have created a java class that uses the bouncycastleprovider ( bcprov-jdk13-141.jar ) to encrypt strings. I tested against the version of the java virtual machine that comes bundled with oracle and it works perfectly. I then used JDeveloper to load the class on the database with the resolve, noverify and order flags checked and it shows no errors but when I try to execute the stored procedure it throws the following exception:
    java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError:
java.lang.SecurityException: Cannot set up certs for trusted CAs: java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: US_export_policy.jar
    at javax.crypto.SunJCE_b.<clinit>(DashoA6275)
    at javax.crypto.Cipher.a(DashoA6275)
    at javax.crypto.Cipher.getInstance(DashoA6275)
    at RijndaelEnhanced.encrypt(RijndaelEnhanced.java:57)
    at RijndaelEnhanced.encrypt(RijndaelEnhanced.java:73)
    I loaded jce1_2_2.jar, sunjce_provider.jar, bcprov-jdk13-141.jar. Also replaced the US_export_policy.jar, local_policy.jar with the unrestrictive version. I add the security provider dinamically with a call to Security.insertProviderAt(new org.bouncycastle.jce.provider.BouncyCastleProvider(), 2);
I also did a select on the user_objects table and all the classes are in VALID status.
When I run my application using the java virtual machine that is located under C:\Oracle\oracli9i\jdk\jre\bin directory it works fine but when I try to execute on the database it won't work. I found a bug that was if the jce1_2_1.jar file existed in the C:\Oracle\oracli9i\jdk\jre\lib\ext directory ( even if it's extension is renamed ) it won't work because the certification file had expired but I don't know if this has anything to do with this error.
    Am I missing something?
Please I need an urgent solution to this problem.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can't sign in to Folio Builder - Urgent deadline

I keep getting the error message 'Sign in has failed [svr Unknown]'
    I am using CS5.5. I originally installed V1.01. This didn't allow me to log in so I downloaded 1.13.2. - I can't install this because I don't have OS 10.6!!
I am operating OS 10.5.8 and cannot upgrade to 10.6 as my machine is an iMac circa 2006. OS10.6 is a system requirment for the latest version of Folio Builder it seems.
Please can someone get back to me urgently with a solution to getting my Folio Builder to work as I have created a publication that needs to be uploaded for iPad tonight!!!
    Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure you are out of luck if you are on OS 10.5 You can try installing the older version of the folio producer tools from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=4&platform=Macintosh, but that won't impact the version of folio builder panel that's installed. You have to have the latest version of the panel.
Note that we have never supported 10.5, although in past releases it did happen to work. The system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-publishing-suite-pro/tech-specs.html have always indicated 10.6 is the minimum.

  • EFAX UK INVALID ZIPCODE ESTATION c510a - **URGENT** PLEASE HELP!!

COULD A SENIOR HP TECH SUPPORT OR MARKETING REP TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THIS COMPLAINT URGENTLY AND RESPOND WITH A FIX ASAP. THANKYOU
THIS IS THE SECOND C510A I HAVE BOUGHT IN THE UK WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!
    PROBLEM:
Efax UK does not work with my estation c510a tablet printer. I bought this printer at a premium price to be used as advertised ie including the fax. But so far the fax will not work.
SUMMARY OF STEPS TAKEN TO DATE
1.The sign up page when registering efax on the zeen tablet will not accept my UK postcode. It returns "invalid postcode" regardless of me trying several different UK postcodes (zip code) WITH ALL FIELDS ENTERED CORRECTLY AND EUROPE/DUBLIN CHOSEN. I AM IN LONDON.
2.Zeen has been updated to latest firmware. Country has been changed to UK English in settings, as has the time to GMT.
3.I have trouble shooted with HP UK technical support and so far they are unable to find an answer.
4.I have called efax uk and they say it is an HP issue not their concern.
This is the second estation c510a I bought, the first one was purchased 4 months ago from a different retailer (bestbuy Lakeside thurrock) and had the same problem so I returned it as not being fit for purpose. I bought the second one thinking HP would surely have resolved this silly critical issue by now but they havent or at least I am not yet aware of a fix.
If someone, anyone, could tell me how to get the fax on this printer to work you would save me doing a return or exchange and I would be most grateful.
Otherwise it seems absolutely atrocious to me (as a consumer and a HP fan) that HP could put out a printer and not have a fix for its advertised function??? I am sure I am not an isolated case. It seems an absolute fundamental mistake that senior HP executives ought to address with a matter of urgency as it risks damaging HP's business reputation and customer goodwill in the future as well.
COULD A SENIOR HP TECH SUPPORT OR MARKETING REP TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THIS COMPLAINT URGENTLY AND RESPOND WITH A FIX ASAP. THANKYOU

We have been working with J2 Global Communications and have determined a 2 step solution with respect to the issue you reported.   One is immediate that you can do today.  The second is long term.
The issue: The postal code verification during eFax registration is too strict and doesn't allow the user to omit the space, or use lower case characters, in a UK postal code.
    Immediate solution – UK only
As you stated, we assume your Region code/country code setting in the device is UK.   To double check from Home, choose Settings Menu, then Settings, Preferences, Language & Keyboard.    During registration for eFax services in the eFax application, input your postal code into the field exactly as you provided it to us with a space between the “outward” and the “inward” portions of the postal code.  IG3 9SJ
We have verified via our testing that for the postal code to be successfully accepted it must be in all caps and input as shown with the space between the two portions of the postal code.    Note: For all UK customers, adhere to the same rules of All caps and a space as well between your postal district and your delivery office/area.
    Long term
We have made improvements to the eFax application to be included with an update scheduled for April.   HP and J2 are discussing a review of the server side logic and potential changes to be even more tolerant and open to variances in postal codes where/if needed.
Please let us know if the immediate resolves the issue for you.  Thanks very much.
    I am an HP employee.

  • Getting User's Manager Credentials through JNDI in AD! (Urgent)

    Hi Techies,
I want to know if their is anyway through which we can get the User's Manager Credentials i.e First Name LastName and Email,
I know that Managers Name can be pulled if its thier in users Object entry.
Its really urgent, please post the code if their is some way.
    Thanks in Advance
    Somil

Like albin pointed out you can use the email definition form, create your own email defintion and then attach that to the recon insert received task of the xellerate users prov process or you can use the tcEmailNotificationUtil class from the xlDataObjects.jar Decompile the class you can see that it exposes many methods like setBody() setSubject and even sendMail(). this api proves helpful when you need to replace certain tokens in your mail with certain values from your porgram.

  • Assignment Manager - urgent

    Hi All,
Which responsibilty has the "assignment manager" form. What exact setups I need. This is urgent.
My requirement - create SR, link it to a field service task and and schedule it so it's cleary visible on the gantt chart that the task A is from 8-9 and task B from 9-10 and is assigned to specfic resources .
What do I use - Assignment Manager, Scheduler, Advanced Scheduler, Autonomous Scheduler, Dispatch center..I'm confused and this is urgent. Please clarify.
    Alex.

    Alex
Generate Shift tasks makes the assignment manager aware of the booked time of the technician's calendar.
Take an example: You business is to service laptops. You have customers all over the US (geography, territories). Say you have a customer in New York and you have some technicians always roaming in that area (say a couple). If ten customers call you at the same time, how to make a decision on whom to send where? First we need to know whether they are fully booked and till when (generate shift tasks does that). When you are on the phone with the customer, you decide what is the earliest time a tech is available based on this ( so you satisfied geography (proximity to customer's location) and availability.
But say you have pretty important customer in the same location. Per contract say your response time is under 1/2 hr. If it is then how do you ensure that the customer gets priority over everything else? We can either use preferred tech or resources at the coverage level.
Also if only of them of those two is skilled enough to service a particular type of laptop, you use skills. And also if that hard drive is crashed, assignment manager also checks who has this product (based on task and product association) and gives priority to them.
All these and more are in the mind of advance scheduler.
If the estimated time takes 1.5 hr, based on the availability you "schedule" the task to start at start time and end time that accommodates 1.5 hrs. If not if you enter start time and duration, end time should be populated.
    Thanks
    Nagamohan

  • FCS2  "Something Happened" message at load, other upgrade issues URGENT

Final cut studio has been giving me a "Something Happened" message every time I load it since after I upgraded it. What is this?? It seemed at the time that the upgrade to FCP Studio 2 installation went well...no weird messages or anything.
I did the upgrade at the end of last year and Ive been using the software OK with three exceptions:
1.- The FCP "Something Happened" message always appears when the OS loads...
2.- The new COMPRESSOR wont load at all....ever! (I installed ALL upgrades frpom the web and ALSO downloaded the compressor upgrade (from Nov 07) and installed it "by hand", but to no avail.
4.- FCP cannot render exotic effects (For example the ones that work in Motion)Final Cut pro asks me to upgrade my graphics card from the old 60 mb NVIDIA GEFORCE that came with the first system to a larger one.
I just bought it through the net and it should be here in a couple of weeks. (I am in Nicaragua, Central America).
I dont know what to do about the compressor (I need it urgently but dont know how to uninstall and reinstall ONLY compressor).
    My machine specs are
    Model POWER MAC 7.2
    CPU Power PC 970 (2.2)
    2 CPU Units
    Level 2 cache 512 KB
    Memory 4 GB
    Bus speed 1 GHZ
    Start ROM version 5.1.5 F0
    Serial G8429CVLPXD

    Dear Jerry
Im very afraid of doing a full reinstall for a couple of reasons:
1.-We dont have a reliable and FCP-savy MAC techie in Nicaragua.
2.-I am not 100% sure I have ALL of the disks for all of the previous versions of the software
3.- There are a lot of other things on that drive that I am afraid of losing.
Do you have any other ideas??
Do you think issues will be resolved when the new video card comes??
Is there any way of installing (In the meantime) only the previous version of COMPRESSOR??
    Thanks for any help-
    Carlos
    Tanks
