Hi ABAP guru,
I urgently need to convert the following logic into ABAP programming to generate a checksum digit for Barcode EAN13:
proc checksum {first12digits} {
set total 0
for {set i 0} {$i < 12} {incr i} {
set multiplicator [expr ($i % 2 == 0) ? 1 : 3]
incr total [expr [string index $first12digits $i] * $multiplicator]
set checksum [expr 10 - ($total % 10)]
return $checksum
Please help and I promise maximum points for answer.
ThanksHello
On ECC 6.0 there is a function module ARCHIV_BARCODECHECK_EAN_13 available.
However, testing the function module (SE37) does not return any reasonable results (which might be a problem of the testing framework).
Below you see the coding of the fm:

Application not working in Quality, which was working fine in Dev. Urgent!!
Hello Guru's,
We are experiencing a problem in portal.
Issue: We customized application in MSS( General Information which calls FM in the backend to populate the data) using NWDS and deployed the application into Development System and it's working fine. so we used NWDI to transport the code into Quality and the application is not working fine in Quality. The Issue is when transported the application into Quality it is not showing any data. and when checked the RFC trace it is not showing any FM been called when accessing the application. And also when checked in NWA it is not showing any error, when checked the JCo connections they are working fine.
Anyone please help us out. It's very Urgent.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Pramod
'Points will be awarded for sure for helpful answers.'Hello Harini,
Thank you for the reply, and I was expecting answer from you. Was seeing other forums and your replies to those .
Anyways Let me tell a little more on the issue:
We are implementing ESS/MSS in portal as per the req. we need to create a custom iview with employee details. And for that we have created a FM which will pick up the data and we are accessing that Function Module in WebDynpro application.
We deployed the code into QA and Prod In prod it is working fine but in quality it's giving 500 Internal Server Error
when checking the log file we are not getting any error logged. and checking in the R/3 whether that FM is executing when accessing the application using ST05 tcode it is not showing up the RFC trace either.
And Configuration of QA is same as Prod and all the permission are properly assigned.
Just wondering how is a application responding differently in different landscapes.
Looking forward for a solution.
Appreciate your time and help.
Regards,
Pramod -

JM: "This is an excellent article, thanks for your contribution."
Richard Mueller: "Important information with good explanation. Needs a See Also section."

GO: "I'm actually thinking that nobody can defaut you Mr.X"
Philippe Levesque: "Good article ! I would add that changing the lease time to be shorted could help too."
JM: "A very good article, however you might consider adding this content as a section in your article about expired IP addresses in DHCP"
Richard Mueller: "More good information. Should be linked to the other DHCP article."
GL: "This is OK but a better solution for a highly utilized DHCP scope would be to shorten the lease time and/or configure a superscope."
Hicham KADIRI

GL: "This is good required information. I would really like to see information added about how to add a server role. You might consider providing PowerShell alternatives to the netsh and other commands."
JM: "This is a great to-the-point article on how to configure a Core install of Windows Server, nice work."
Richard Mueller: "A great collection of useful tools. Some could use images, more detail, or examples. The example sections could be added to the Table of Contents."
GO: "Well, our new french MVP! Well written Hicham! Do not forget to pray attention for the layout! It's capital for readers and judges!"

JigarHi,
Follow the below steps . Definately your issue will bve resolved.
Let us suppose you are printing following fields
PH &v_text&
PH &v_text1&
PH &v_text2&
you will get the output as you expected.
and if you have any conditions for these fileds
/: if v_text is not initial.
PH &v_text&
/: endif
PH &v_text1&
PH &v_text2&
if you have data in each field then you will get output as expected .
But when v_text is initial.
the data will be moved up wnhich is happening in your case.
so what you need to do is?
/: if v_text is not initial.
PH &v_text&
/: else
PH (Here you need to mention empty line with same paragraph format
/: endif.
PH &v_text1&
PH &v_text2&
Reward points if useful
