Hi how do I de enable an auto launch of iPhoto when a memory card is plugged in to Mac book pro
Hi can anyone help to stop iPhoto launching directly into the memory card or camera import utility when either is plugged in.

Do you have a SD slot? If not you get a USB to SD memory card adpater at the computer/office/online store and use that.
It appears as a drive on your machine and you can use Export from iPhoto or drag and drop methods too.

How do I stop iPhoto from launching when I plug in my cellphone?
This is really a pain, because every time I try to eject the cellphone (memory card), iPhoto crashes, then re-launches and re-mounts the memory card, again and again and again.
STOP iPhoto, Stop !**** WHOOPS !!! ****
Now when I try to eject the cellphone, it says "<item> in use and cannot be ejected"
You have to quit iPhoto first, then eject it.
THEN, after a while, you get an Error Dialog message on screen which says "Try quitting application and try again" -- BUT IT DOES NOT SAY WHICH APPLICATION TO QUIT (G'dam Apple stupidity)
What other Apps "MIGHT BE" using the cellphone memory card to prevent it's ejection ? (iPhoto is NOT running).
Now, when I eject the volume, it disappears for a while, then the Error "In Use" message appears, and the volume re-mounts.

I hate it that whenever I connect my iPhone to my MBP iPhoto automatically launches. Any help is appreciated.
JacobTo do that follow these steps
Go into Applications
Open Image Capture
Next to the blue apple to left hand corner, click on image capture
Go into Preferences
At the top of the window that opens, change option: When A Camera is connected, Open:
Change the drop down menu to no application
That should prevent iphoto from opening when phone is connected. -

KenOf course, as anyone who has needed to Restore their iPhone, discovered that their backup was corrupt (happens quite often), and thus lost the pics they snapped with the iPhone, can tell you - you may be better off letting iPhoto launch, importing then deleting the pics from the iPhone, and syncing them back via iTunes so they're not lost for good. Just my 2¢.

How can I transfer iTunes from an old iMac with an outdated e-mail address to a newer mac book pro?
I can't transfer iTunes to a newer computer because I can't access the old e-mail I bought some songs under.
Phone support did not help or would not guarantee they could help.
Is there anybody who would know how to do this transfer?

Link the two Macs together and use iPhoto Library Manager

I use a two button mouse with my Mac Book Pro. It works fine, but after installing Lion, the mouse wheel goes in reverse of what it did (rolling the wheel towards your palm goes up not down the page). Anyone know how to fix this?

You just go to the menu where it shows your iphone when it is syncing it and scroll down until you see the option to back it up to your computer and that should do it, or it at least works for me.
