Hi! I accidentally deleted my app store from the phone....how to retrieve it back...pls help me...just using the iphone
Hi everyone
I am a new user of iphone 4...i've accidentally deleted the app store from the iphone...pls tell me how to retrieve it back...pls help...tq
To restore the missing App Store Icon, or other original Apple Icons on the iPhone, go to Settings / General / Reset (Don't worry, you will be presented with a number of options concerning resetting before anything happens. The iPhone will NOT reset just by selecting this option).
Choose "Reset Home Screen Layout". This will restore the App Store Icon as well as other Apple Icons you may have removed or placed into folders.
Please note. This also removes any folders you have set up and rearranges all of the apps you have, so it takes awhile to put everything back where it was.
Unfortunately, I did not capture the placement of my Icons, so I had to recreate from memory...not that big a deal. If you elect to follow this procedure, make a note of where all of your icons are placed and then proceed.
I followed links that talked about restoring through iTunes...never could make anything like that work. This is a quick and simple fix.

I accidentally deleted my App Store. How do I get it back?
You cannot delete the Apple builtin apps.
1. Use Spotlight to search on iPhone.
2. Check if Settings > General > Restrictions > iTunes Store: ON (green)
3. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. -
I accidentally deleted my app store icon. How do i get it back? I've tried syncing to my computer, but that's not working.
Ally1999 wrote:
will it change anything?
Yes. It will reset your Home screen layouts.
If the App store is hidden by Restrictions, it will not be enabled by Reset Home screen layout.
You need to re-enable Installing Apps in General > Restrictions. -

I bought a MBP 13 and I got the £70 App Voucher for being a student, I now want to return the MBP how can I do that? can I just pay the £70 for the app store voucher or what do i need to do?
ThanksIf you have redeemed the voucher for something separate from the computer, then it's a non-issue. If you redeemed it as a price reduction for the computer, then they will return only what you paid less the coupon.

I have lost sound on my iPad in apps unless I use headphones ,does anyone know how to get sound back without them .I have used the mute volume on the bar at bottom of screen and the slider volume control there only shows when headphones are plugged in !
I also tried resetting settings all to no avail ...I looked up some advice and watched utube video advice on how to fix without success..
The volume control button on side does not work ,I got the iPad last August and wonder if it is a fault that means I must return it for replacement from where it was purchased ?The Retrospect you used way back when is no longer around. The company was sold and that company produced a new version of Retrospect - Retrospect 8.x
So, as you've been told, you would have to be running a Tiger system with an old version of Retrospect software (5.x or 6.x - you would need to know) assuming you can find the software.
As best I can remember you cannot extract files from a Retrospect backup except using the software since Retrospect did not normally make a file by file backup rather it created an archive of the files in the backup. I'm assuming that the EMC/Retrospect people have told you that old Retrospect backups are not accessible by Retrospect 8.x? -
accidently deleted an app Store app. how can I get the icon back on my home screen? in the app store it comes up 'open' instead of install.
What happens if you tap on open?
Remember, if you ever want to find an app quickly, you can slide all the way to the left (iOS 6 and lower) or pull down (iOS 7 and later) to get to an app.
If you know for certain that you have deleated the app, please try restarting your phone. There are many ways to do this, but the safest way would be to hold down the power button and then slide to power down.
Once powered down, restart and try to find the icon on your screen. If you still can't find it, go into the App Store and then find the app you were trying to access. It should have an iCloud download symbol since you've purchased it before, rather than saying "install." -
My child deleted my app store, can someone tell me how to get it back, please.
It can't be deleted, it's one of the built-in apps. You've checked all your homescreen and app folders for it, and is it hidden by Settings > General > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?

I have accidentally deleted my IMAP password from my key chain, as a result i cannot access my google email using the Mac Mail. I cannot remember what the password was for IMAP, so can anyone help to resolve this. i can access my mail by going directly to Google Mail.
Regards JKG1135The password for use in the Mail application would be the same password you use when accessing Gmail by using an internet browser. The exception to that would be if you have 2-step verification enabled for Gmail. If that is the case then you would need to use an "application-specific password." If you are using 2-step, you can revoke the previous application-specific password and get a new one as described in https://support.google.com/mail/answer/1173270?hl=en

My husband and I use the same apple ID. I started using a new iPhone and deleted his contacts from my phone which has also deleted them from his phone. He hasn't backed up his phone but my iPad is backed to iCloud. Can I retrieve the contacts from this?
In preferences turn on iTunes sharing in iTunes preferences and keep iTunes turned on in both accounts. Or better yet put the iTunes library on the main HD rather than in an account and set the location of the library to that location in iTunes preferences.

It wasn't logging on properly...so I thought that I could just delete and reinstall the app store. However, I was sadly mistaken. Any help on the topic?
I tried everything I could think of (delving into the recovery partition, searching through the later updates to Snow Leopard), but everything I found was lower than App Store.app version 1.1.1, and wouldn't launch. Reinstalling Lion may be your only option, although if the recovery partition doesn't have it, then I don't know how it'd bring it back. … and if you don't have the App Store, you can't redownload the Lion install that would allow you to reinstall Lion the same way as before. I'd upload my copy to Dropbox or something, but I figure that would probably break some rule (also, you wouldn't know if that was actually it or some malware).
If you have a Time Machine backup you can restore it from that. You can try what reinstall/repair options the recovery partition provides, but apart from that… you may have to resort to shadier sites. -
Help me retrieve my accidentally deleted app I paid for on my iPad. I don't wanna pay twice.
Download it again. You won't be charged. Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

How do I get what I paid for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????????????????
You don't need a serial number. The problem you're having is due to having the iWork trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip. -
Hi. I accidentally deleted all my purchased Apps while updating and syncing. some have contents that were important. how i can i retrieve them including the contents?

If you backed them up before updating, you should be able to restore them - either by just going to iTunes - Device - Apps and selecting them, or by restoring from the back-up made right before the update (the update wipes out your machine and then restores from back-up - but it's not clear that this is happening, so it's possible you interrupted the restoration before it was fully done; I did that at first ).
Hey! I have a similar problem.
My situation is that after I updated I did another restore from backup (which was made ages ago) to get iTunes to put things as they were into folders etc., but this second backup also overwrote the app data and other information (like contacts).
So the question is where can I find and restore from the back-up made by iTunes automaticaly during the update? -
Anyone having trouble deleting an app straight from their phone?
For a few weeks now, possibly months, I've had to go to iTunes and remove apps that way. I know it sounds like a first world problem, in fact it is, but I'm actually pretty annoyed with not being able to delete an app from my phone. Is anyone else having this problem?
Also, I've restarted several times. I've also restored. All to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.Nevermind, it was a restriction problem.
