Hi, I am having a hard time grasping the pen tool in Illustrator, but have a decent knowledge of it in Photoshop and was wondering is there any quality loss when making work paths in Ps and exporting to Ai?

Do we know what version of Photoshop and Illustrator you are using? If you have a full CC subscription, then you can use Libraries to share assets between your Adobe apps. As far as I can tell, you need to turn your work paths into shape layers for this to work. Just select the Move tool, and drag from the document window into the Libraries panel. Even if Illustrator is still open, you switch to it, and your shape will be there in the Illustrator Libraries panel, and be fully functional (as in way more options that it had in Photoshop).

I'm trying to install a Citrix XenApp for work purposes and am having a hard time. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator." I am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop and am the only user and administrator as well. There are no BIOS settings, because Macs don't have a BIOS. I don't use Parallels, but I assume it has simulated BIOS settings. You'd have to consult its documentation to find out how to change them.

I'm having a hard time understanding the best way I should have my color settings, set. Can I get someone's help with this?

I am scanning old photographs with an Epson V750 Pro and have a question on how my Photoshop should be set, or how the scanner should be set.
I have Photoshop 7.0 and it works fine, but I have started scanning some old photographs with my new Epson V750 Pro scanner and every time I go to open a scanned photograph, I receive a message reading:
My Photoshop's color setting are "custom" set: I never changed anything, but this is how I've always ued it and have never had any problem before. Is there a better way it should be set?

Should any of these settings be different? If something in Photoshop should be changed, what should I do? I don't want to be asked this every time I open a scanned image.
Or, should any of the settings in the Epson Scanner when scanning?

The other color settings available are 48-bit Color and Color Smoothing, but sometimes when I use the 48-bit Color, Photoshop will give me an error when I go to save the edited scan, telling me there isn't enough space to save it. I have no idea why this happens because there is plenty of space, but I end up having to change the scan to 300dpi to save it.
Well, I don't know if any of this makes since, but I would love to receive any help. I would like to understand why I am having this problem and how the color settings should be, so I don't have this trouble anymore.

In Epson Scan, click Configuation at the bottom of the main window, and try these settings.
If it doesn't work, I think it'll be ok converting to sRGB in Photoshop,
Edit: You can set PS to convert to sRGB automatically under Color Settings > Color Management Policies > RGB.
But if you can control it from Epson Scan, that's probably preferrable.

Having a hard time changing the duration times of frames

Hello everyone!
Need your help with iMovie 08.
I'm almost finished with a project. Videos are there mixed with some of my photos with a music background.
The problem is that I'm having problems changing the time duration per frame. For example, I put 3.0 seconds in Photo A, it changes back to 2.7 seconds. This is usually the case for pictures. I made sure that the change is for that picture only but it just won't change.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

That sounds about right if you have added a .5 second transition between your photos.
Think of it this way...
3 second photo + 3 second photo = 6 seconds
2.7 second photo + .5 second transition + 2.7 second photo = about 6 seconds

I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I am having a hard time browsing apps. Everything seems to be sub-categorized but I can't browse by sub-category like I can on my phone.

I am having a hard time browsing the app store on my iPad. I just got it and I can't figure out how to browse for example adventure games. On my android phone I can go into the app store, click on games, I can look at a list of subcategories such as arcade or board games. They are then sorted by release date or popularity. I can't seem to do that with the iPad app store. Hopefully someone can shed some light on how to do this.

You cannot see it because it is hidden.. one of those great things apple does.. if it is hidden in your Mac then it will be hidden in the Time Machine Backup.
You will need to restore the entire folder to a different location.. and unhide it.

Having a hard time signing into websites with Safari

Hi, I'm having a hard time signing in my username and password for e-mail addresses I use and for message boards as well. I use Safari all the time accept for my school website that requires IE. Anyways, I use Comcast and I have been trying to sign into my e-mail address name and everyime I click "sign in mail" Safari says "Safari Can't Open Page". So then, I went to my AIM mail to sign in there and then it said the same thing. Then I went to this Apple Forum to ask if anyone knows what the problem is, and then when I went to sign into here, the same thing. So right now I am using Camino, but can anyone help me with this problem or is anyone having the same problem as me? Thanks.

I too have been having a problem of logging into certain websites with a username and password. Instead of logging in successfully with Safari, a blank page or an error would occur.
This happened for: citibank, comcast, sprint, and miscellaneous other sites.
This problem apparently had something to do with my cookies since erasing my cookies seemed to solve the problem. Here's how to do it:
Safari -> Preferences...-> Security -> Show Cookies -> Remove All.

Having a hard time with burning photos onto a CD...

Whew! I just found the photos I thought I had deleted this morning, they're in my Finder, inside the iPhoto Library. Now I'm having a hard time trying to burn them onto a CD. The size is 232 MB and my MacBook is OSX Lepard. Would you tell me how to do it step by step? I'm not good at this stuff. Thank you in advance for your help.

I endorse everything that Steve just said but to try and get you going while you're shopping for an audio interface more suitable for sound work than use as a doorstop, try the following:
Go to the Windows sound control panel and make sure the SB card is selected as the default on both the Recording and Playback tabs. On the advanced menu for both, set the bit depth and sample rate to either 16/44,100 (CD) or 16/48,000 (Video) depending what suits you best. Note that your SB card only works natively at 16/48,000 so anything else involves a conversion that the card hides from you.
Go to the Windows Control panel and, under the sound section, turn off all system sounds (since they can hijack your sound card). Close every other application that may want to use the sound card (internet for example).
In Audition, go to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware. Set the device class to MME. On the drop down menus set the Default Input and Default Output to be your Soundblaster. On the Master Clock set it for the SB Output (this'll likely be default). Set the latency at around 200ms (you may need to increase this later if your playback stutters--or you can try decreasing it until you get stutter, then take it back up a bit. Set the sample rate to whatever you selected on the Windows Sound Control Panel.
The Soundblaster will likely have installed it's own control menu. Go to this and select Mic or Line as appropriate for the input and whatever you need for the output. I can't be more specific as SB keep changing what they call things.
Hopefully this'll get you going even if it's not the best compromise for quality and latency.

I am having a hard time with fcpx, it is running so slow. i upgraded my ram to 12 and have cleaned up my computer to run faster and have changed all my files to proxy files but it is still running SO slow. please help!
