Hi, i am new to PDF forms & need to make drop down menu with pictures, how do i do that ?
some one suggested to use coding to achieve similar results, but i don't know where and how to use it, please help!

Is there any way to restore the 'Open New Tab' option in the tab bar drop-down menu?

After years of using tabbed browsing in Firefox, I've long-since gotten used to right-clicking the tab bar, and selecting the top menu item 'Open New Tab'. So much so that it has become reflexive. Now with v4, when I perform the same action, it now just reloads the current page. Is there ANY way to restore the option to the pull-down menu? Hello, I suffered from a similar problem with the new search bar type. I've found that you can go into '''about:config''', then search for '''browser.search.showOneOffButtons''' boolean and toggle that. This should restore the old functionality. (You might need to restart your browser)

When I am using Safari, I get a drop down menu with suggestions of "move to new window", etc. It is driving me crazy.

When I am in Safari, many time a drop down box will appear stating, "open in new window", "move to", etc. What is this and how can I stop it from happening?

That sounds like a Contextual Menu, and should only appear if you right-click or ctrl-click on something.
Does it ahppen in other applications too ?. If not, I'd start by disabling any Safari Extensions in Safari - Preferences - Extensions.

Can't create new tab using '+' or ctrl T or drop down menu.

Clicking on '+' in tab bar, using ctrl T or using the drop down File menu new tab will NOT create a new tab. New tabs only created if selecting a link creates one.

My form autocomplete shows blank drop down menus with 'Form History' still stated beside the blanks when I type in entries I previously entered.

It is remembering what I entered, but the options are blank. Please help, this is really annoying. I also lose form history (when it was working properly) after I leave Firefox idle for more than 5 minutes. It's been like that for a long time, but my form history (autocomplete) used to stay intact if I left the computer for a bit. I know exactly how to use my privacy options, they are set the way I always had them set when form autocomplete used to work properly for me.

Yep, this is def a problem with the google toolbar. I did find that if you turn off the google autofill, you can keep the toolbar enabled and the problem goes away. The browser then uses Firefox's autofill instead. Thanks for leading me down the right track. I didn't want to lose Google toolbar, but not having form history has been a pain, since i use it for shipping packages and not having it makes it time consuming.

Basic Form with Drop Down Menu Help

I have just started using dreamweaver and i dont use code or anything yet. I have been following a tutorial from thesitewizard which runs through the basics of creating a web page in the design screen. It created a form to insert but i need to know how to create a form which has a drop down menu to have say 4 or 5 options to select the normal name email comments etc fields and submit button to enbale people to contact me. Can anyone help with this. Pleae keep in mind i am very new to this and dont have any code experience etc at all.

You will need to use a form processing script to handle your form data. This isn't terribly difficult, but it's more than you can do in Design View alone.

Badi drop down menu in Adobe forms

Hi ,
I want to create a Badi for a Adobe form field ....
The badi should be able to provide the drop down values for the field
in the form...

I'm fairly new to this whole Flash thing, but i seem to be
doing really well so far. I have created a website that is in
functional, working order - all of my buttons, actions, links, etc.
are working, (which i'm quite proud of), but i'm now at a loss. I'm
trying to create a rollover button/dropdown menu effect for two of
my galleries, and although i've successfully created the pop-up
effect of the menu by utilizing the "Over" and "Down" states inside
of the button itself, when i render out the file and test it, the
drop-down text flickers. Placing the mouse over the original
button, everything seems to work fine, but as soon as i move the
pointer down over the pop-up/drop-down text, it flickers! i've
tried creating this is separate layers, i've tried increasing my
Hit state, i've even tried a stop action, but nothing works, and
i'm out of ideas. Help!?

If you are hoping to make linkable buttons for the drop down
portions, then they need to be separate buttons. If they are
internal to the main button, then they are the main button and will
only link where it links (if they don't totally throw it out of
whack--I forget what one of my client's doing that resulted in, but
the bottom line is... buttons inside buttons are bad news.).
My suggestion: Google "AS2 drop down menu tutorials" and see
what you can find. Googling is a great resource for finding things.
There will likely be a number to choose from, so read thru them and
see which ones match what you're trying to create and are easy to
follow (some may not explain things well... everybody and their
uncles apparently want to try to teach the world what they know,
regardless of their ability to explain things (or lack thereof)).
Some, if not many, will provide source files you can build
from.

Need help please with drop down menu

AS2 I created a drop down menu for my portfolio. my setup is my site mc, within that mc it my portfolio and the drop down menu with five buttons. I want to link on of those button not to the root, but in the same area as the drop down menu/ this is how it is set up.
sceen1 and inside sceen1 is navebar with the drop down menu. Inside the menu are my buttons. I dont need it to link at the root(sceen1) I need to link one of the buttons to a frame in the navbar area. Sorry and I hope you can understand what I wrote.

What code have you tried? Where do you have the code planted? If you plant all of the code in one place, such as the main timeline then it might be easier for you to manage targeting whichever objects you intend to.

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.

What is "Adobe XI" - Reader, or Acrobat?
But either way, 'Save as Adobe PDF' is a Word function, independent of what Adobe software you have installed.

You may open the original form in FormsCentral and toggle to “Page View” at the lower right corner. Adjust the page content to make sure no page breaks in this view.

Are there any dialog boxes popping up behind your Yahoo screen?
I have intermittent problems attaching files in Yahoo mail and this is usually the reason. I'm also using an iMac (10.7.3) and this is likely the problem.
It is generally a Yahoo issue rather than a Mac problem.
