Hi i am new to this.but someone has managed to get hold of my apple password,they have all my contacts on their phone.as i back everything on icloud.

person has access to my itunes.even if i change my password how will i manage to erase all my contacts from their phone?they have all my contacts on their phone and they are sending messages to all my friends.
how do i end this?

PS:they had a new handset plugged it in to laptop used my apple id so all my contacts and app has gone onto thier phone too

go to icloud.com and log in. from there go to track my phone and see if his phone pops up. if it does send him a message saying he should stop. change your password after sending him the message.

Warranty and Support are only valid in the country of origin. You will need to take the device to whatever country it originally came from.
Apple will not accept shipments from outside the country nor will they return it to an address outside the country.

By all means get iLife but just for the record you don't HAVE to use Apple's photo application;
there are many more around, quite a lot of them free.

Something in your backup may be corrupt. Try wiping it and setting it up as a new device, then sync your apps, data and media back to it from iTunes. DO NOT resotre from your backup. If the problem is contained in the backup, it will bring it right back again if you restore.

My old computer crashed completly. I have a new computer now. It is a HP with internet 8 on it. I downloaded itunes but can not sync itunes to the new computer. Every time I try I get a warning that if i proceed then all my stuff on the phone will erased.

This is how it works.
Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

The process to update your Tom Tom is a big data file, you will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network for it to download. If will take about an hour.

The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. Look under system preferences on the mac at what is be controlled? Look at Mail, Contacts, Calendars. How many accounts are managing contacts? Just the cloud? the cloud and gmail? or cloud, gmail, yahoo, and exchange? If you have more than one contact account, then you will have different contact lists, if John Smith shows up in more than one of your contact lists, you will have multiple entries.
Pick a contact list that is your master, (I use iCloud), only turn on contact syncing for it. The same for your phone. Spend some time on the iCloud webset (www.icloud.com) and work on your contact list there. Clean it up, remove duplicates, etc...Changes will auto sync back to all your devices. Life gets much simplier.
Just remember, if you sync different contacts lists and a large number of people appear in your different lists, then they will appear as duplicates.

When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

You know that you have to connect the iPad to your PC with the cable that came with it - and then iTunes should start automatically and it will guide you through the set up process?
If you have already tried to connect the iPad - and you have launched iTunes - and you still have no luck - reboot your PC and then begin the process again.

No, your accounts will remain separate, any content that you download via either account will be tied to that account - so each account will only be able to authorise its own downloads on your computer's iTunes, redownload them, download updates to its apps, and make in-app purchases in its apps.
Is there are particular reason why you've created a new account ? If it's due to, for example, no longer having access to your old email account then you can update the email address on an account by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and selecting 'view apple id' on the popup and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes (click the Edit button to the right of your id at the top of your account's screen), or via http://appleid.apple.com . If you want to re-use the email address on the account that you've just created then you will need to change that first
