Hi i am trying to install a printer to my iMac desktop pc but i am getting an error message no drivers.

Hi just bought my first Imac computer and i love it i am a 63 year old so getting used to it is not the same as windows but i can lear.
My question is i have a codak printer less than one yeat old but it will not install to my Mac, no drivers i am told from the error message
any help would be apppreciated.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. I'm trying to install a layer style (.asl) in photoshop cc 2014 and I get the error message 'Could not place the document 'filename.asl' because no parser or file format can open the file.' Any suggestions?

I get the same error when trying the same thing with the default styles, so it's not the file.

So, if you click on one on of the layer style sets already on the list, such as Text Effects 2, you get the same message?
Which version of mac os x are you using?
Did you upgrade your mac os with photoshop cc 2014 already installed?
Do you have the lastest version of photoshop cc 2014, which should be 2014.2.1
(listed at the top of Help>System Info from within photoshop)
Do you see the same layer styles as shown above on your list?
Have you moved/copied any plugins from an earlier version of photoshop to the photoshop cc 2014 plugins folder?
The layer styles shown on the list above are the styles that ship with cc 2014 and should be in
/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/Presets/Styles
(the mac applications folder where all the other mac applications are installed)
You might try resetting the preferences, but you might need to uninstall photoshop cc 2014 and then reinstall.
(don't drag the cc 2014 to the trash, but use the Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 in the photoshop cc 2014 application folder)
To reset the preferences
Press and hold down the Shift+Command+Option keys while starting photoshop cc 2014
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop settings file
Press Yes

The Same Network is only needed for the Text Forwarding part of the Messages app on both and the iMessages account's Text Forwarding.
I understand Blue Tooth is On but have your paired the two devices for Handoff and Continuity ?

I am also having this same problem. I have updated my computer. I have downloaded the complete brother driver package from Apple as well as the drivers from Brother. As far as I can tell, all have been installed successfully. It is only when I try to ADD the printer do I get that message. Both my roomate and I have Macbook Airs so we cant use the disk which came with the printer. This is irrelivant anyway as the drivers have been successfully downloaded and installed. Pretty soon the trial version of 9 that I installed pops up telling me it has expired but it would take me to a way to buy a valid serial number and then 8 stops working again. I’d be happy if the 8 I paid for worked right or I could get 9 for a small cost but I cannot afford $450 or $20/month. I need a permanent solution that I should be already paid for with 8 pro.

After multiple repair procedures with reboot in AA8 I was eventually able to restore the printing to pdf function from various software. However I have again lost my Acrobat tab in Outlook 2007. I need that back, but today an even bigger problem arose. AA8 has stopped printing to fax. It faxes a blank page. The only fax printing option is “Microsoft Shared Fax Driver”. My fax software is “Windows Fax and Scan” and it was working fine just a couple weeks ago. My OS is Windows 7 Professional.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.
