Hi-I am trying to print pictures from iphoto. I selected a picture and tried file-print. But instead of giving me size/layout options, it gave me a message, "no available themes". Not sure what to do next--something I need to install?

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

Check out the article below on troubleshooting iTunes start up issues. You may need to start up in Safe Mode or even remove iTunes and its associated software and reinstall iTunes.

I have had the same problem with firefox on facebook. It has happened for the last couple weeks. I can receive gifts under requests and every game I try crashes. I can usually read my homepage. this is getting really bad. I have cleared caches,downloaded what I am told to download to update, and cleared history and cookies and still happens , and have been told to get rid of firefox. what is the problem? and when I sent reports , nothing. and sent emails to all the games and told them and asked for help and never get responses. should I through the computer out the window, or delete you? Since the new library gives you the same message log into another user account on your Mac and see if you can run iPhoto without getting that message. If you get that message there also a reinstall of iPhoto seems indicated. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Resolution
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your device, then syncing again to solve this issue.
Orphaned files may remain on your iOS device if it is physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, the Capacity indicator in iTunes may report a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device. To resolve this issue:
1. Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
2. Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
3. Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
4. Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes.
          - If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 5.
5. Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device. To do this:
          - Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
          - Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
          - Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
          - Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 6.

You said it was a network drive. So is someone else on the network using that same file or may have have left with excel still accessing it on their system?

All of a sudden when i try to attach an iphoto to an email or facebook i get a message that say i need i photo 5 or later and my pictures are not available

First I have Mac OSX 10.6.8
I photo 8.1.2
All of a sudden when I attempt to download a photo from Iphoto to an email attachment or to facebook, I get a message that says I need to :
"open Iphoto 5 or later to see photos from your Iphoto library in this list" it shows in light grey.
AS I mentioned above, I have 8.1.2 and my photos are all available when I go to the photo app.
I read to delete iphoto from the library which i did but that didn't help and maybe was a mistake? And if it was how do I fix that?
I have searched the web to no resolve. I also see that I do not have the latest version of iphoto but when I check for updates it says there are none available.
What happened and how can I fix it! HELP!

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
If that fails, then you're reinstalling the OS.

You don't. the ipad is not a backup/storage device. it simply mirrors the selected content of your computer. The sync is one way - computer to ipad. The only exception is itunes purchases.
Did you fail to maintain a backup copy of your computer?
If so, not good.
You may be able to purchase a third party program, not supported by Apple, to get the other music.

That's much too old. To solve the problem, you'll have to uninstall iLife completely, then upgrade to the current version of iPhoto in the App Store.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.
