Go to System Preferences (under the Apple logo in the menu bar). Choose "General". Click "Always close windows when quitting an application".

Just need to plug the TC in to the hub in bridge mode.. do not try and bridge the homehub.. it is not possible with the setup BT uses.
To bridge the TC.. plug it directly into a computer by ethernet.. no other connection to the TC or the computer.
Press and hold in reset until the front LED flashes rapidly.. about 10sec.
Release the reset.
Open the airport utility and setup the TC to bridge mode.
The actual method depends on version of the OS and airport utility you use.
This is version 5.
Sorry I cannot post the v6 as I am on a snow leopard computer now. But you go to the network tab, and choose off bridge mode for method of connection. It will be NAT and dhcp by default.
Then setup wireless.. you have a number of choices here.
Either setup with the same SSID Security and password, as the homehub uses.. or a different name, and password..
Each method works fine.. but you sometimes have issues with wireless channels.. for now leave it on auto and see what happens.. if you have issues lock down the radio channels on both devices.. use one out of the following on each, 1, 6, 11 or 13 in UK.. so say 6 on the homehub then 13 onthe TC.
Update the TC.. unplug fromt the computer and plug it into the homehub.
If you have other issues with the setup tell us what OS you run so we can post suitable screenshots.

I have updated my Apple ID via my iPad, but my other devices still think the ID is the old one and I can't work out how to update them

Yesterday, after discovering that the email address I used as my Apple ID was about to be deleted, I used my iPad to update my Apple ID to a new one. Everything went fine, until I moved on to my iPhone, which is still asking me for the password for my OLD Apple ID. I can't work out how to tell either my iPhone or my Macbook that this one is out of date and get them to change to the new one. iTunes is changed, but the settings aren't. Can anyone help me please?

You haven't stuffed it, you just haven't signed out, so do that now, everywhere your old ID appears needs to be signed out of.
Any variant of "Find My" (phone/mac/pad etc) that's signed in should be signed out.
List what needs a sign out if you don't know how to.

Thanks for your help Brij011 - much appreciated. Apologies as I'm a newbie but I've looked at the info for synching and I appear to have all the switches flicked on my iPad. Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

I've recently purchased an iphone 6 and am trying to transfer all my photos and documents from my iphone 4 to my iphone 6 via iCloud.
However I can't seem to work out how to do it.

If you're backing up your iPhone 4 to iCloud, I believe you can just restore your 6 from that backup.

HT5621 d is still registering the old ID and I can't work out how to change my icloud Apple ID.

I have changed my out Apple ID for a new one. This has been successful for iTunes etc but not for iCloud. I can't seem to work out how to change my account which is the email address used for my old Apple ID.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Maybe I am just having a mental blank but I need to write a report that does the following. We have a sales header and sales detail file. The key to the header file is the transaction number. The transaction number is one of the keys for the detail file. I need to be able to select the details of all transactions that may have contained products from a specified department. eg. a customer bought eggs on a transaction, what else was purchased on the same transaction. Management want to know what complimentary products are sold with our premium products. Now, I know I could do this with a subquery. However, we are using MySQL 3.51 and it does not support subqueries.

Can't work out how to stop Mac mail from Forwarding to GMail account.

Okay. This is on behalf of my sister. For whatever reason, when emails are sent to her @mac.com address they get forwarded to her GMail account and deleted from her @mac.com address. So they never appear in her @mac.com inbox. She now wants this relationship to stop and wants to delete her GMail account due to hacking fears and use the @mac.com address as it was intended, but between us we can not figure out where the setting that is doing the forwarding and deleting command it set. I thought I had nailed it when I hit upon the "Rules" section in OS Mail preferences, but there was nothing in there. I then thought it might be a setting on her GMail account, but they are all standard as well.
So is there some place I'm not looking in either OS Mail or on me.com, or some place else that contains this type of forwarding commands that I'm clearly missing.

Managed to solve this myself. Yeah.
It was a Mobile Me setting.
log on to me.com in an internet browser. Then select the preferences option under actions in the Mail area and select other, and in there you'll find forwarding options.... what a ball ache to find it though. Its not very clear at all. If u have a similar problem, then I suggest logging into me.com and do a search for forwarding and you'll find what you need straight away.

HELP! My keychain got fudged up and can't work out how to fix it!

My iMac had its power cut due to a power black out part way through updating the keychain information and it seems to have corrupted the whole keychain/Keychain Access system.
Now I can no longer update ANY application which uses passwords and needs to use the keychain.
Here is what happens if I try to update Adium for example -
I get the message "Adium has been updated. Do you want to allow the new version to access the same keychain items (such as passwords) as the previous version?"
The only option I am given is "Don't Change" or "Change all".
If I click "Don't Change" the same message keeps popping back up every time I click "Don't change" in an infinite loop.
If I click "Change All", the memory & CPU usage goes up 100% and the computer is brought to it knees, locks up and never recovers.
So I am stuck and can't update or install anything that uses the keychain.
Also, if I go into the Keychain Access app and try to view passwords stored, the same thing happens - 100% CPU usage and the computer locks up until I do a cold reboot.
How can I fix or re-install keychain?

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, enter ~/Library/Keychains/ as the path, and move everything in that folder to the desktop. If you have a backup of those files, restore them from it. If not, you will need to set up the keychain again.
