Some developers allow you to download older compatible versions of their apps. If it's a free app then try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history, then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it. If it's a paid-for app then contact the developer first and ask them if the above will work, don't buy it and then find it won't

Have you authorized your iTunes library yet to play and sync your iTunes purchases? To do this, head to the Store drop down menu and choose Authorize This Computer. Then enter in your iTunes store account credentials and then try resyncing your iPod.

I used to have iTunes 4.3.1, something like that, it kept asking me to upgrade but i had an older ipod so i couldnt. I recently broke my ipod so now i have one for itunes 10.5.3.3 because my ipod came shipped with ios5.0 installed. So i tried to update itunes, didnt work. I uninstalled it, didnt work. I disabled firewall and antiviurs, didnt work. Ive called tech support, as soon as the person hung up thinking that it was working, it stopped working. First try removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using the following or the link within it that applies to XP.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

You need to resync you applications or redownload them for free via app store. They may be read by your phone, but they are really not there. Re downloading will fix this.

My itunes radio rebuffers every 8 seconds - is there any fix or help for this problem. I am running the latest itunes on a new Mac with 4MB download speed.

"iOS update required" issue when trying to sign into App Store
My friend has sold me her Ipad 1. iOS 5.1.1 already updated.
When I use my Apple ID, i cannot even sign into the App store on the Ipad. Keeps saying "iOS update required" though the ipad is updated. I have changed regions on Apple ID with no luck.

It's not referencing your iTunes version. It's referencing your device's iOS version. An iPhone 3G has a maximum iOS of 4.2.1. If an app requires an iOS higher than that, it will not work on your iPhone 3G.

No alternatives, check your spam, junk, trash folders and rescue email account for the verification email.

I cant download apps on my iPad 2 it started after the ios 5.1 update I think it was and I tried downloading an app but it wont let me it was free too. I tried lots of times with different apps but still wont work. And now I cant update because one of the apps is stuck on installing and its still there wether I turn my iPad off, turn wi-fi off its always there! And I even tried locking it ! Still there, I tried backing up and it wont back up. Everything else is perfect except for downloading things.
Please Help!Try double taping the stuck app, it should stop the download, then restart. You can also try going to the App Store, searching for the App, and try installing from there if it let's you. Can you hold the icon and make it jiggle to delete it?

Could any one knows why?There could be a lot of reasons.
If your iPad is cellular/wifi then there are file size limits on downloads via cellular, 20-50 megs. So if you're on 3G, try it on wifi.
You could have restrictions enabled limiting the rating of the app, or the install of apps.
the app store could be 'having a moment', so simply trying back later can help with that because there's nothing you can do beyond wait and try later. -
