Hi, i'd like to unlock my iphone 4

I bought it with a non contract plan and I don't have the sale receipt anymore, but the device is registered under my apple id. What Am I supposed to do?

Can I assume it was locked to AT&T? If so: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB414532&cv=820#fbid=I-Y-ki2QaEy

You need to contact the network provider to which the phone is locked. No-one else can do it for you.

Hello, I would like to unlock your Iphone, but there is the Problem, it is bound to the operator AT & T and I have no contract. How do I unlock it from etogo operator?

You contact AT&T and find out if it, and you, are eligible for an unlock. ONLY AT&T can authorize unlocking it.

  • HT201328 I'd like to unlock my iPhone 5 for use on a trip overseas. Is it possible to unlock it for this purpose?

I'd like to unlock my iPhone 5 for use on a trip overseas. Is it possible to unlock it for this purpose? I bought it before January 26th, so my understanding is that it is legal for me to do so without carrier approval.
To be clear, I don't wish to leave AT&T when in the US, but while visiting my wife's relatives we really need a local number that they can call. I asked AT&T to do it for me, but they refused. I know there are shady ways to get it done, but honestly, if I wanted to live in that realm, I would have bought an Android.
    Thanks in advance!

I'm not saying you're definitely wrong about the legality, but I certainly have different information:
    http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/01/unlocking-new-cell-phones-to-become-i llegal-on-saturday/
I'm no lawyer, but the official document appears to support my assertion that unlocking a phone purchased before January 26th is grandfathered into the prior exemption which allowed unlocking any phone at any time.

Thanks for mentioning the warranty issue. I cannot find an authoritative reference regarding it, though. What I have read indicates that Apple has been fairly vocal about stating that jailbreaking may void your warranty, but has been pretty quiet about unlocking. None of these posts, however, gives any reference either way, so it is difficult to ***** the accuracy.
I'm open to hearing different information as I definitely do not know everything about this subject.
If possible, can you reference your sources?

  • Hello i just got my iPhone 4s but it is second hand and it is on orange but i would like to unlock m iPhone how would i do that

Hello , I just got an iphone 4s and it is connected to orange but i would like to unlock it so it can go to an device that i would like . I have gone to the orange website and it says that i have to of been in their acount for six months but i havent. Can ou help me

No, no one here can help you, & neither can/will Apple. Only Orange can authorize the unlocking of your phone, & typical of most carriers, they will only do so for customers using the phone on their network.
Either establish service with Orange, then request the phone be unlocked, or sell it to someone that can use it on their network.

  • HT201328 i would like to unlock my iPhone to use in my country (turkey) when i go to vacation to turkey how can i gec my unlock code?

         Dear Apple ,

please , help me.. i dont want to have any cellphone problems in turkey this summer again. it is really hurting me that my iphone 5 is staying in my bag because i can not use.i will fly to turkey soon and i will come back on september so i really need my iphone 5 in there...
i would be so so so much happy if you send me unlock code for my iphone.. thank you so much ..

There is no such thing as an "unlock code" for an iPhone. Contact the carrier the phone is locked to and find out what their policy is for unlocking. The SIM slot on the Verizon iPhone 5 is already unlocked.
Sprint will only unlock the SIM slot for international use for current Sprint customers in good standing.
AT&T will unlock iPhones purchased as no-commitment phones with proof of purchase from Apple or AT&T or for customers who have completed their contract or paid the early termination fee.
    T-Mobile phones are already unlocked.
The other US carriers do not offer unlocking for iPhones.

Only AT&T can unlock it. Since it's not on contract, you should be eligible. You'll just have to call them again. No one else can unlock it.

  • HT201328 Unlocking my iPhone to use abroad for a short time.

I want to unlock my iphone 4 to use with a different country's sim on holiday for 3 weeks. In doing this is my phone then locked to the network of the sim I used to unlock it (which wouldn't be the right sim anyway!) Or is it open to any network sim? My carrier has just told me that it would be locked to O2 if that was what I used to unlock it. And then if I wanted to get it back to be able to use my orange sim I would have to get O2 to then unlock it.... This isn't a viable option and doesn't seem to make much sense! Any help would be gratefully received!! Thanks

    Hello Melissa,
If you would like to unlock your iphone from o2 to use with any other networks you need to go to the o2 website and fill out an unlock form which you can find here:
    Monthly Contract form: unlocking form
Pay as you go form: unlocking form
This will require you to give 2 mobile numbers you contact most frequently and £15 credit on the phone that they will take of after you complete and send the form of to o2.

how can I unlock my iphone??? on the screen I only have the apple logo and  a thing that looks like if the phone is working but no advance

    Hi,
Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
    Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
    Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...
    Turn the Phone On...
If that does not help... See Here:

  • Will Verizon Be Unlocking the iPhone 5 for International Use with local carriers abroad like they do with the 4S?

Here is my situation. I am leaving the country on business in a month. Since it is pretty doubtful that an unlocked iPhone 5 will be available for pre-order tomorrow, I'll be buying one at full price under my verizon account (not due for an upgrade yet). Verizon currently SIM Unlocks the iPhone 4S if you meet certain requirements (account in good standing, active 60 days, phone activated on account, etc.) so you can use your iPhone abroad with a local carrier there for cheaper rates. Does anyone think Verizon will do this same procedure for the new iPhone 5? I understand that my new iPhone may not have 4G LTE capability abroad due to hardware limitations on different carrier models, however all new iPhone 5 models have quad band GSM/EDGE and 3G. Would I be able to use this feature if Verizon unlocked my iPhone? It should be noted I am not trying to unlock to use my phone on Tmobile or another US carrier, as with the 4S carriers put a block on this even for unlocked Verizon models. I am looking at this from the standpoint of a traveling business user (and I think there are a lot out there wondering the same thing). Nonetheless I will be preordering the iPhone 5 from Verizon and on release day I will call them and ask if they will unlock it. If they don't I will return it. I'll update my findings here for anyone else curious about this as well.

Egilbbys21... I am curious how things worked out with getting a nano SIM and your iPhone 5.  Our family will be visiting Manila this summer, and I would like to hear a first-hand account about your phone experiences.  Do you purchase minutes for call/texting?  What about data?  Any feedback you can give from your trip regarding your iPhone usage would be helpful.  Thanks!
