Upgrading the iOS "over-the-air" was introduced with iOS 5. If you are currently running an iOS version < 5.0 you can only update through iTunes. Connect your iPad to your PC or Mac. Open iTunes and click on "Check for updates"

Do you ever visit a friend or realtive with a Mac who has faster internet? Maybe the local library has Macs on a fast line. If so, get a USB thumb drive and put this link on it from your computer:

When you are at some place that has a Mac with a decent download speed. insert the thumb drive in that Mac and click on the first link ("DL1399") and direct the download to your thumb drive. Now do the same this with the second link.
The installer files will now be on the thumb drive and, when you get home, drag them from the thumb drive to your desktop. Install the Combo update first. -
I have a Macbook Air with Mountain Lion..I upgraded to the latest version called mavericks ox now it crashes a lot...when I use the shift and Caps keys especially. I now have version 10.9. how can I get mountain lion back and get rid of this update?

I have the latest version of Firefox yet I am still getting an error message that says photoshop is no longer supported on my platfrom and thereofre it's not downloading.
Please give a bit more system details. Which OS and version are you on? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit. Try downloading the Creative Cloud App if not already installed from: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud. You can choose to install PS from withing this app and need not rely on web page.

Some of my applications have been saying I need the latest version of Adoebe Flash Player. When I try to download it I get the following error message: 'Frame Load interrupted' and the installation stops. Any suggestions?
You can only use apps downloaded from the App store, not via a browser. There is no Flash for any iOS device including the iPod.

I have just updated itunes on my pc (windows XP) to the latest version. When I try to open it I get an error message saying the application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found< Have tried reinstalling with no luck. Any ideas?

Ok...so I have the latest version of iTunes per response to my previous question. Why isn't there a cloud icon next to the movie I just downloaded? I assume that's the only way to access movies on the cloud. ( My computer shows the icon.)
What are you trying to do? If the movie is on your iPad, the cloud icon will not appear next to the movie. You will see the cloud icon next to the movie if you delete it from your iPad and then you can download it again. That is assuming that the movie is eligible for a free download as not every movie can be downloaded again for free.
This is a screenshot of the purchased tab in iTunes on my iPad. These movies are already on my iPad so there is no cloud icon next to them for another download.
What I don't understand is for what reason are you trying to access the movie? If you want to watch the movie, it is in the videos app. Maybe that is where I am missing the boat. -

Hi, I don't know if this will help you but I have both an iPhone 4 and a iPhone 6 that would not work. In my case the latest version of iTunes is 12.01.035. I remembered having a similar problem on Windows 7/64 bit a while back and decided to reboot my computer go into the bios and basically disabled a bios setting called Intel xHCI Mode. This flag in the bios is used to turn off the USB 3.0 controllers. As soon I did that, and saved my system booted fine and it noticed both phones just fine. I tested this several more time on my system which is still fairly new having been build from scratch last last year. Each time when I turned USB3.0 back on, iTunes and Windows 7 for that matter would not notice my phones. If you do a search on that bios setting you will find the USB 3.0 has caused problems with many of the older device drivers and technology.

Mostly confused me is that com.sun.java.util.collections.* must be import in my java programe. It's is used in OLAP API,very strange! Sun has charged the namespace to java.util.*,Why Oracle still use this package? And anyone can tell me this?
This is not bad, I just recompiled the src in jdk1.3.1,change the namespace from java.util.* to com.sun.java.util.collection.*.
But really bad thing the programe is not worked!!! I copied the code from the user guide, Change some code(not a lot). Then run it, Exception throwed out!! and Oracle DB Can't be reconnect!! I must restart my pc!!

The collections package was new in Java 1.2, but Sun backported it to 1.1.8. However, the backport package is in the com.sun namespace rather than in java.util. As long as we support Java 1.1.8, we must continue to use the backported collections jar file and its namespace.
Most likely you have encountered the bug with the OLAP 9iR2 denormalized snowflake schema support which is found in SH. This bug has a verified fix already and will be released with our first cumulative OLAP patch called 9.2.0.1.0a beginning of September. -
The latest iTunes can't access my windows (including Vista 32 & 64bit, nor Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit versions) "Runtime" library. I've tried reloading the windows suggested .dll as well as doing a system restore and also downloaded the iTunes update and load it manually, but nothing will work. Is Apple aware of the problem and planning to release a fix, or do I have to abandon iTunes and my iPod?

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Hi tKalra - I got the same error and finally managed to install itunes successfully. Below is what happened with me.
I have Windows7 64 bit. I downloaded itunes 10.6.3 for windows64bit and started the installation wizard by opening the downloaded file. At one stage I got the same error you have mentioned above. I started googling to find a solution and thats how I found your post. Anyway I went through lot of other posts that suggested lot of different things but I just wanted to try my own thing first.
So what I did is to go through with the wizard by clicking ok on the error. I then got an error about apple mobile device service not running. I ignored and went ahead with the installation. Installation finished but the itunes wont start giving the service not running error. I tried to manually start the service but it gave a privilege error.
I then went to control panel and uninstalled itunes, apple mobile device thing and bonjour..basically what ever was from apple. Then I also went to start -> run -> regedit and checked for any registry keys for apple under local user and local computer. Deleted if found. Restarted and then just right clicked on the itunes setup file that was downloaded and ran it as administrator. That did it for me. So I am guessing it was privilege thing but not sure. Hope this helps. -
