Correct - and they never will be.
As Denis suggests, you need to upgrade to Lr 5.7.1; or, you can use the free DNG Converter to convert the files to a format that 4.4 will read.

When I Ctrl+t to get a new tab it opens with YAHOO as the page. I would like it to open my HOMEPAGE.

You can look at one of these extensions:

If you do not have access to the iTunes Library on your Old computer... or its Backup...

I spoke to the sales rep about this and he gave me a link to the 8.6 DNG converter page with instructions to download. 8.6 only works with Mac OS 10.7-10.9, according to the page. I'm running Yosemite, Mac 10.10. Please can you tell me my options? Lightroom 4 worked beautifully with my older cameras' raw files so I would like to continue using the application. Until the next version of Lightroom is released, you need to use the DNG Converter version 8.7RC to convert your RAW photos to DNG and then import the DNGs into Lightroom.

Help render the raw files edited with camera raw how?

i have a problem
i use bridge cs5 (updated) to browse my raw files
often i open my raw files with camera raw inside bridge cs5 and make some corrections like exposure , saturation , contrast and so on
but after bridge doesn't re-render the files
i mean the thumbs ,previews , the slideshow still are in default setting
when i click and open with camera raw inside bridge or with photoshop cs5 ,the raw files look with corretions
but again bridge show me not with the corrections
i run under w7 32bit
what could be the problem?

If you are using HQ On Demand you will get fast thumbnails, but there will be a delay in generating the preview as Bridge builds it.
The Always HQ takes more space, but faster as the data is already in cache.

What is N-OS?
For the camera raw problem, every new camera has its own raw format and ACR must be updated to include it. That hasn't happened yet for the D5500, so you'll just have to use the Nikon software till Adobe gets the info and releases an updated version of ACR. It's not unusual to be in your situation if you buy a camera model that's only been out a month. You just have to wait a bit.

Hi, I have shot few pictures on 31st December night in RAW mode using Nikon D800 and Sandisk extreme plus 32GB SDHC card. It looks like card got some memory errors so not able to transfer the files from Card to computer. However I am able to view the pics thru Lightroom ver 4.4 Library, but when I tried to import them, it gives me an error stating that file can't be read.
Is there a way to save the pics from Library window in lightroom overcoming the card read errors ?

Thank you for your response. Here is the error message I am receiving, I tried with various destination folders in the computer but it still gives the same error:. Just to let you know, I am able to import pictures into these folders from other memory cards.
