Have you launched and tired Image Capture? When it's launched with the iPad connected the photos will display in the window. Select those you want to upload and use the Import to: menu and select Other. Navigate to the Desktop and select the folder you created to hold those photos.

Are the photo's you're trying to view/download in Raw? I've had difficulty downloading Raw files, but have had no issues downloading JPEG files. Also, check a setting in your Canon, called communication. From what I've read (I'm a Nikon D5100 guy myself), communication needs to be set to PTP, not normal. I'm not sure how that will help if the pictures are already encoded?
Well scratch what I've written. I just googled the 60D and supposedly, JPEG and Raw are supposed to transfer through the SD card reader easily. So, I'm clueless. Sorry.......

can you help me, i try to import video from my gopro to final cut pro but when i play the video he become very slow and i lose qualiter ???
Right click one of yur clips in the event browser and choose Transcode Media. Make a test project and playthat clip. See whether that solves your lag.

Premiere Pro CC7 and CC6 will not put video or stills onto time line for editing.
Premiere Pro CC7 and CC6 will not add video or stills onto time line for editing. It wil play the clip but that's it. I have tried many different vidoe files, mov, avi and others plus jpeg stills, but no matter what i do i cannot move it to time line to edit. I have the 30 day trial version. I have watched the tutorial, done same thing, no luck.
Any ideas and help appreciated otherwise I 'll just bin the whole program. I have tried it on Final Cot pro 7 and there is no problem (thats on the mac, the premiere pro is on pc. )Chances are you just need to create a sequence to put them on.

I can get on Explore just fine but I want to get back to using Mozilla Firefox.Nothing is worse than IE.
You can try the following:
Save your bookmarks.html in
%userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles\
Delete the whole content of the profiles-directory
Then create a new profile and start FF again. Now you can import your bookmarks.

Importing Email from PC onto new Mac
I'm a first time Mac user and am trying to figure out how to get a ton of email off Outlook from my old PC into the Mail program on the new Mac. How should I save the emails for transfer? None of the choices seem to work for import (for example Comma Separated Values or Tab separated values work for importing CONTACTS, but not for the actual emails).
I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this or direction to where I can find help! I'm lost without all those old messages.I just did this a few weeks ago. You need to open up Outlook Express and import mail from your outlook.pst file into Outlook Express. Once this is done, you need to find all your .mbx files and then copy them to your Mac. Once you copy them to your Mac, you need to rename the .mbx files to .mbox. Once you have done this, you can open up Mail on your Mac and them import all the .mbox files. This is real easy, does not take a long time and it's free.

Importing video from old camcorder to mac without using a newer camcorder?
I'm trying to import old home videos from a camcorder (from about 1991) that uses cassettes, onto my Mac. Is there a way to get it on my computer without it?

you actually don't need a new camera to get analog video into your mac, in fact there are not so many cameras that support AV-in.
read the thread you posted in your question again and you'll find an AV/DV converter, a device that "translates" from analog to digital, mentioned there.
these converters are not as costly as good camcorders, but of course they do only this one thing, so if you think about buying a new camcorder in the near future, you could buy one with AV-in .... two devices in one.
oh yeah: the canopus converters mentioned in that thread are supposed to be good.

you could jump on your comp and try and install it through itunes onto your ipod, if it works great but if it doesnt im sorry ill have to agree with the guys above me , youll have to get another copy off apple thats designed for your ipod

ThanksActually, this is a friend's camera, but yes, I went to the menu and when I got to the digital zoom option, it is greyed out (not accessible). That is the problem. I shoot in the EOS line so figured maybe there was a custom function somewhere that was causing the problem, but Power shot line apparentley doesn't have custom functions. Thought maybe digital zoom is only availabel in certain modes (pernaps not available in "green square"), but changing mode didn't seem to make it accessible either. I am just not familiar with the powershot cameras so ... any other suggestions?

I am new to FCP. I have a canon 60d camera and purchased fcpX. I was recommended to download mgep streamline and convert my files to prores422. I do not have an option for prores 422 in my download. How can I fix the problem.Please help. There was another suggestion by vimeo.com to use applexdcam ex 1080p30. I do not have that either in my mpeg download.

I imported videos from photo into iMovie when I set up iMovie (obvious mistake) and now iMovie doesn't work properly, nor can I move specific videos into a folder where I want them. How do I fix this? I even tried deleting iMovie, bought a new copy and installed it, but the folder "iPhoto Videos" is still there and I can't get new clips loaded to iMovie, especially where I want them. Please help.
The iPhoto Videos do occasionally have problems. I've seen a lot of people write messages to this Discussion group describing similar problems. The only thing that seems to get around this problem is to pull the video clips out of iPhoto then import them directly into iMovie. Once the troubles with iPhoto Videos starts, I haven't yet seen anyone write back with something that they did to fix it.
The most difficult part of doing this is the movies in iPhoto might be a little difficult to track down. But you can create a smart alum that does that for you. Go to iPhoto > File Menu > New Smart Album:
Set the first pulldown menu to keyword, second to contains, then in the last box type Movie with a capital 'M'. Then click OK. This smart album more or less does as search of the whole iPhoto Library and only displays items that match your search tearm of "Movie" exactly. In that smart album then you can find the original Movies you want to move out of iPhoto and into iMovie, <CTRL> click on the Movie clip, then choose Reveal in Finder. That will jump you out of iPhoto temporarily and into the iPhoto Library folder. From there you can move that movie file to the desktop. Move all the clips you want, once they're all collected up go to iMovie and go to the File Menu > Import Files. Then point it to the desktop where you moved your video clips.
This will put all those videos into an Event folder in iMovie and bypass iPhoto Videos altogether.
