Hi, my name is Cathy Pack and i am in a pickle, i have an i-Mac OS X version10.5.8, 1.25ghz power G4, every thing is fine except for my home screen it is in letterbox forme and i would like to put it in full screen, the screen is long and narrow instead of short and wide, Please HELP, Cathy Pack
Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Displays. Take the resolution ratios and use a 16x9 ratio to avoid the letterboxing if you have a 17" diagonal display. Take the 4:3 ratios if you have a 15" diagonal screen.

I had fits with the last link I posted. At first it worked fine, then all of a sudden, it quit working. I now have iCloud - iCal syncing, but iCal is read only. Not a real big deal since you can log onto iCloud using Safari and post a new event.
I finally gave up on Address Book because it kept creating multiple contacts, which if you tried to merge or delete the multiple contacts, the contacts were deleted. It also worked at first and then stopped working as it should. -
Hi guys i have just created my new form and it was very easy. however once i convert it to a PDF the editable boxes in the form are blue and i would like to change the colour. does any know if this can be done?
The blue background is the field highlighting that you have the option of turning off. If you don't see the purple bar on top with Highlight Fields toggle button, it should displayed by clicking the top icon (purplish) in the navigation pane on the left

You probably have a 1G ipod. To get the latest iOS for that mode go to:

The You Tube launcher app has disappeared from my home screen. How can I reinstate it?
The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version and there is Jasmine), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

AOL has muscled in and replaced my Firefox home page as above with theirs without permission.
How do I permanently remove the AOL home page to the trash can?
And, if possible, give AOL a "rasberry" for their rudeness?

After you change your homepage, somehow when you have to open another tab, aol will pop saying you have changed your homepage, but will not allow you to click anything until you say yes to returning it to aol. This IS so frustrating. I can't believe Mozilla is allowing it or does not know how to counter it.

You cannot run Mac OS X on a Windows machine. You need a Mac to run Mac OS.
Macs can run Windows, but Windows PCs cannot run Mac OS.

IMac Lion login defaults to incorrect Safari home page and emails
When I log into my iMac running Lion, the following programs startup automatically - mail, safari and iTunes. In mail, an old email is always highlighted, always the same one...I want it to default to the newest message. In Safari and bookmarked page always starts up instead of my homepage - I want my home page to start up. And iTunes always starts up and I don't want this to happen.
If I go into my System Preferences -> General, I've unchecked the box "Restore applications ..." but when I exit and go back in, it's rechecked. In my login applications the only application listed is "iTunes Helper."
It appears my login preferences are always defaulting to the incorrect (but always the same) settings for iTunes, Safari, and Mail. Any way to clear this all out?Preferences may be corrupted...
Go to ~/Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.systempreferences.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
Open System Preferences > General
Make sure the box next to Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps is deselected.
You may also need to move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Trash as well then reset your Home page in Safari > Preferences - General.

I have no clue hoe it got on my pc I have looked on e explorer bing ask me yahoo and I come up with no answer it pops up your alternative search it seem to tied in with face book and you tube of which I do not use
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

You cannot change regions while you have a balance. You can either buy something or contact itunes support through getsupport.apple.com but no guarantees on the outcome.
