Hi i have an iphone 5 on 02 and using all 2gbs
i have an iphone 5 on 02 that i have had since November and every month i am using all my data, it rarely lasts 2 weeks which is strange as 2 gbs is a lot as i used to have 1 gb on my 3gs and never went over it, it also struggles to pick up wifi unless i am right by the router?i have to shut down all my applications such as safari, facebook, camera, apps, itunes etc and i only use it for facebook, emails, safari now and again. iv also put my phone back to its factory settings and its still consuming all my data within 2 weeks.
Hello nataliejayne23,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at this article:
If you are on a limited monthly data plan, you can adjust how your iOS device uses cellular data.

hey i have a iphone 4s 64gb but and using the internet share .. how can i change the nat type from strict to open please help me
You will have to configure that with your router. Type your router's IP address in the search/domain bar and allow port forwarding.
What is requiring you to have an open NAT? That issue is usually for gaming consoles, etc. -
In australia i bought my iphone 4 (4.3.3) from a guy who had it given to him with his vodaphone post-paid plan as an upgrade, but sold it to me brand new in box. I called vodaphone to unlock it, but they said just put my sim in and it would work fine (because they needed a vodaphone number to unlock it, but they unlock iphones for free anyway so it wouldnt of actually been locked) so i put in an optus sim and everything was perfect. I bought an o2 sim when i arrived to england last week, but it is not working. it says no service when i put in my o2 sim card, and that it is not supported when i plug it into itunes to activiate. what do i do??
Expanding on what Tim said to make sure it's clear, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. If Optus is the original carrier, as would seem to be the case, O2 would not be able to unlock it. Only Optus can authorize the unlock, so you'll need to contact them. They say, though, that only the account holder can apply for unlocking, so you might not be able to get it unlocked and will have to work through the person from whom you bought the iPhone.
For more information, see the Optus FAQ on unlocking.

The iPhone 4 uses a "Nano SIM"
The CDMA iPhone 4 does not use a SIM at all. There is no SIM slot. It is a pure CDMA phone. -
I have 3 iphones, an ipod touch and an Ipad on the same itunes account. should I have a different account for each device? If so how do I get all my purchases, like music on all the devices?
You can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, including separate backups. I'd suggest giving each device a unique name, to make things easier.

we have several iphones in the family and want to share music. do we need to have everyone on same account?
You will all need to be on the same itunes account ID.
You can however all have seperate icloud accounts aswel. -
I have 2 iphones in the family and want to use itunes match on both devices, unfortunately my husband has his own itunes acct and when i change on his phone to my itunes acct it states that the email is already in use, any help on how to get the itunes match to go onto both devices, thanks
"Method Three
Create a separate iTunes library for each device. Note:It is important that you make a new iTunes Library file. Do not justmake a copy of your existing iTunes Library file. If iTunes is open, quit it.
This one may work. I searched and searched on the website for something like this, I guess I just didn't search correctly, lol. I will give this a try later. My daughter is not be back for a few weekends, therefore I will have to try the Method 3 when she comes back for the weekend again. "
I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. She wants to sync her iPod and also backup her iPod at both places. Both PCs have been authorised. Thanks -
I have two iphones, different telcos, i am using the same apple id for both - how can i use the 10GB icloud free memory of my new iphone 5?
Thank you KiltedTim!
YES, that is the free 5GB icloud memory for each apple ID. Can I not add the free 5Gb of my second Iphone to my original apple ID (5GB also) as I want to use one Apple ID name on both 2 Iphones? Is it necessary to have a different apple ID for the second Iphone to avail the free 5GB it carries with it? -

I have 2 iphones, one for personal and one for business. I need my phones not to sync otherwise they will both ring all the time. How can I log out of my icloud and unsync my phones?
Syncing your phones to the same iCloud account won't cause them to both ring all the time, it only puts the same contacts, calendars, and other synced data on the phone. The phones will only ring with someone calls the number associated with the phone.
If you want to stop using iCloud on one or both of the phones, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then choose Keep On My iPhone when prompted. This will disconnect them from iCloud and keep a copy of the synced data on the phone. -
Can I have multiple iPhones with unique back ups using one icloud account?
Hello forum users,
Can I have multiple iPhones with unique back ups using one icloud account?
I would like to back up and restore 4 different iPhones, 1 iPad, a MacBook and 1 MacBook Pro using the same single iCloud account.
If so, how is this done?
Many thanksSharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account. -
I downloaded the new iOS 6 for my iphone 4. I have 2 iphones on my account and after the "upgrade" text messages go to both phones. When I send a text to my wife I recieve the same text and vise versa. How can I fix this?
"Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.
