Hi I have had an iPad for a while so I decided to get an iPhone and keeps saying "this device is already associated with an Apple ID" please help I just want to be able to use?

If you are trying to activate an iPad and it is asking for the original owners Apple ID and password you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. No must contact the original owner to get permission to use the iPad. If you cannot contact the original owner return the iPad to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the iPad and no one can help you do it.

I have two Apple IDs because i travel frequently between Mexico and the US, and the apple stores offer different products, so i like to download music, movies and TV series from both sites.
Apparently apple changed the conditions, becauise until a few days ago i could log our from one account and log in from my other one. Yesterday i was at Miami International Airport and wanted to download a few chapters from one of my TV series (Walking Dead) to watch on my way to Mexico City, but a pop up window came up saying "this device is already associated with an apple id". Curoiously, the ID to which i was connected to was precisely the one under which i had bought weeks ago the chapters i was wanting to download from the cloud. So it says i have to wait 90 days to change apple id.... weard! probably i accepted these terms when dowloading a new IOS version, so legally I'm dead in complaining, but why is it that if i am paying for all that i buy as a model citizen i am now blocked from jumping from one apple id to another one???? I can certainly buy another ipad and have one with one id and another one with the other, but is there any other way i can keep the two in just one device?? If i don't use i-could would anything change? This is really making me mad, and is the first time i have thought of moving our of mac products into samsung or others and buy my music and movies somewhere else where stupid restrictions like this one do not exist. Please help with a solution!OK, but in my ipad, the apple id i have in itues is already the one iwant to have, but th one i used to sin in for i-coud is the other one. It is telling you that the device has been associated with another Apple ID. Once an Apple ID has been associated with a device, there is a 90-day waiting period before another Apple ID can be associated with that device. Here is a Support Article that explains the 90-day waiting period:

I get this message "If you download past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot autodownload or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days.
If I use my MobileMe login I have no purchases, so I am using my regular Apple ID. I used my MobileMe login when setting up iCloud because it wanted an email address.
Please explain.The same thing happened to me because I had an Apple ID that was not an email address under which I had made all my purchases and a me.com address that I initially used to set up my iCloud account. If you want to get all your purchases from the Cloud, then you need to do a couple of things: first, change the Apple ID that you purchased all your stuff under to be an email address. You can do that yourself by going to the page where you change your Apple ID. I think it's applied.apple.com but if that's not it, just search for "My Apple ID" in the search box on the support page. Sign in with your existing ID -- the one that is not an e-mail address -- and change it to an e-mail address. Be sure to remember this Apple ID. Then create your iCloud account using this Apple ID. You should be able to get all your stuff to download using this account.
The problem with this is now you will NOT have an iCloud account associated with your MobileMe account. If you're OK with that, you're good to go. I think you still have time to manually download all your stuff from MobileMe.
Apple phone support walked me through this, so if my instructions are confusing you can call them and get them to walk you through it too. It's a common problem. -

Well I changed the email for the same account, however I used '.com' instead of '.co.uk' which obviously caused alot of complications. After about an hour on the phone this is all sorted out now and I am left with one apple id, but this is still happening. If this makes no sense to anyone I don't blame you as it took me a good half hour to get my own head round it.

Sorry: once a device has been authorised for a particular iTunes account you can't change it to another until 90 days have passed. This is to prevent people cirumventing the restrictions of purchases to one account from consteantly swopping between accounts. You will have to wait for the 82 remaining days, and there is no workaround.

A couple oe f days ago, I started downloading the BBC's version of Sherlock. I have the entire first season completely downloaded. The second season (and unaired pilot) is a different story. It was downloading, but my internet kept crashing so I couldn't finish the downloading process. I shut down iTunes for the night and thought to myself "I finish it in the morning." This morning, I attempted to finish the downloading process, but it would only let me download two of the four episodes. The other two just say "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID after 90 days." I used one account to download the TV shows and nothing else.
I'm really confused and really frustrated with this. Any suggestions/answers are welcomed and greatly appreciated!This is a somewhat recent change, but frankly there is no reason to constantly be logging out of one Apple ID and logging in with a different Apple ID.
If multiple people with different Apple ID's are regularly using the same computer, either authorize the computer for each of the Apple IDs or created unique logins on the computer for each user and have each sign in with their appropriate Apple ID.
