Hi I Have iPad 3 ios 7.0.4 i want to update to ios 7.1 not 7.1.1

First of all, i'm new posting in forums, I don't know if this thread is already here.

I have an iPad 3 retina with ios 7.0.4; yesterday (May 2nd) I was going to update to ios 7.1.1 but since i hear from a lot of people saying that it has more issues and battery drain problems than 7.1 (for the ipad 3)
What should I do to update to 7.1 and not the ios 7.1.1 that it has already downloaded on my ipad, and in my pc on itunes?
I want to update to 7.1 since it is said its a good option for ipad 3 owners
And if there is nothing to do, what can i do to erase the update files from the ipad? since i will stay with ios 7.0.4 i think its useless to have all the GB of this updates.
I dont want to jailbreak, i hope there's a solution to my little ''problem''

My iPad 2, iPad 4 and iPad Mini are all on IOS 7.1.1.
No performance problem with iPad 2 because it's doing the light-duty stuff.

Try this and see if it helps.
Settings>Safari>Clear cookies and data.
Now close Safari completely. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then "swipe up" or "drag up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

try exporting your iTunes libary from the old computer to the new one

I'm guessing you have Itunes on your computer, So when you go to plug your ipod touch in and itunes opens if it is syncing to your computer it will come up with "Syncing" and whatever the name of your ipod is. Click the (x) on the right hand side and it should stop the sync. After you have stopped the computer syncing you now have to click on the icon that has your ipod connected (so if it is called Ipodtouch click on that) then it should say in the info section IOs update or something like that and click on that. This will update your ipod touch to the latest IOs without syncing and/or deleting your apps. Once you have updated the IOs the apps will be synced with your computer automatically.

When it asks for another ID on an App Update, it means that the application was purchased under your sister's ID but downloaded to your device from the iTunes library that you share. Even though you both have your own Apple IDs, since you are syncing on the same computer, you are using the same iTunes library.
Whoever purchased the app is forever tied to it, and you can only have one version of a particular app in a single library....
Does that make sense?

hi alan i run a business on ebay selling photos and negs. i recently installed yosemite and it locked my entire library on iphoto. when i try to download the app to free it from ishop it tells me there is a fault with the app and my iphoto is frozen. i am basically out of work and finding it very hard to find someone who can help me unlock it.. look at the things being said about this yosemite locking this.....freezing that... be very careful if you need your business for your livelyhood. the actual performance is really good.....better display ...much faster and well presented but is it worth having parts of your compy put out of action i possibly think not. i am new to this community so hopefully someone reading this may be able to advise us both.....paul

Have cs 5.5 design premium but only want to update photoshop

I have the cs5.5 design premuim and only want to update to photoshop cs6. Anyone know if I can do that. I don't use the other programs much and I use photoshop all the time and there is about a $200 price difference. And no, my cs5.5 is not eligible for a free update, it is an employee version, so no purchase registration, but is completely legal and has a valid serial number. Will I have problems on my Mac if I purchase cs6 upgrade and try to use it?

You need 10.7.5 or later for iCloud.

Try moving the existing backup file to a new location so iTunes has to create an entire new file. That file is located here. You may have to have show hidden file turned on. It location is given here:

You are getting the 3194 error because you cannot update to 6.1.2, since it is no longer current.
The fact that you downloaded the 6.1.2 file does not matter. If you upgrade, you must upgrade to the latest version.
I cannot imagine why you would not want to update to the current 6.1.3 version instead of 6.1.2.
