Responsibility for backing up email is yours, so you'll have to restore it from your own backups.

Leave your iPhone at home or in airplane mode while you're in India and buy yourself a cheap disposable phone to use while you're in India. I believe AT&T still has a program where they will put your account "on hold" while you are gone for a small fee. -

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do. -
I just purchased a new SSD for my mac and I wanted to do a fresh/clean install on the SSD, like if my Macbook just came out of the box. How do I do that?
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This will install the version of OS X that originally came with your model if you have a model that supports Internet Recovery - 2010 models and later: Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery. -

when I have made a movie in Imovie and I want to transfer it to Theater I get the following comments: "Imovie is updating your Theater, You can't add or remove movies right now. Please try again in a moment". I have uninstalled and reinstalled Imovie to no avail, cleaned with "Onyx" etc.
This simply means it is set to Automatically update and you should not have to do anything with it.
When you put new music in iTunes , it will automatically go on the iPod next time you connect it.
This is the default to make it very simple and very easy to use.
If you want to do it all yourself, iTunes prefs -> iPod.
Set to Manually manage songs and playlists.
You have to drag songs to the iPod and delete them from the iPod. -

While your BB may not, while in your possession, have been part of a BES environment, it nevertheless likely has an IT policy in place as this is one of the key symptoms of that fact. If it ever was part of BES, then there are specific steps that must be taken to remove the IT Policy...just removing it from BES does not remove the policy. The process to remove it is totally destructive, so be sure you back up first. Also, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore...rather, do a selective restore of only those things you need...if you do a full restore, you will simply put that IT Policy back onto your BB and be right back where you started.

i have lost many of my music files and some video files from i movie projects,after downloading OSX 10.9 Mavericks .My previous Original i movie has lost some also. The projects just have a green bar where the music files were. The system says cannot locte missing file.

Hey guys and girls.
I have bought the Windows 7 Home Premium, because I use some programs for my study that can only run on Windows.
I have started the partition and finished installing, but the Windows system doesn't communicate with the drivers.
So I went through the internet to find some info about this, and I found out that I need the Install-CD for my MacBook Pro to install the drivers on the Windows system.
My problem is that I don't have the CD.
Is there a way to finish the partition without the Cd or a way to get another CD?

Your computer did not ship with any DVD's, thus there is nothing for you to get, nor is such needed. -

Time needed can depend on several things.
• less than 5 GB free space on Start-up (Mac OS) hard disk = Redicolous long times AND a DVD that most probably will not work OK
Medicine - I never go under 25GB free space
• Use of strange file formats into iDVD - can force it to de-code first then re-encode - this can take long long times
I use
Video - StreamingDV as from miniDV tape Cameras - or QuickTime Movies Converted to StreamingDV
Audio - .aiff 16-bit 48 kHz - (no .mp3, .wma etc)
• Use of old Mac - My G4 600MHz took about 24 hour per hour movie. my dG5 - about 2 hours per hour (I use Pro Quality encoding)
• Pro Quality encoding - takes about x2 to process a movie

I don't have an iPhone. My friend does and we have been texting for 6 months and havn't had any problems. All of a sudden I cannot get her text messages. She revieces mine but i cannot recieve her's. I can also text other iPhone users with no difficulty at all.
What is happening?I would have your friend first do a reset on her iPhone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. Also, SMS is a carrier feature and if she is having trouble, she might want to contact her carrier and have them double check her account provisioning. It might just need a reset on their end.

The quickest way to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter. When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

When I try to send an email I get the message rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. I have sent mails for months with no problems but has started to be recoccuring. Can anyone help please as its pointless having email on my phone otherwise :-( as i have to wait till i log on at home to respond.
