Hi , I have one of the early generation ipods which contains quite a lot of music. I bought a new Apple iMac computer sometime ago and I want to do is sycronise my ipod to my new computer so I can further add more music to it. Any advise much appreciated.

iTunes syncing generally goes one way, from the iTunes library on the computer to the iPod.
You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your computer, you can add them to your Mac's iTunes library.
If you still have access to your old computer with your previous iTunes library, a more complete way to transfer your iTunes library is from computer to computer. You can post back if this is possible and you want to do it.

Yes, I'd try to get my money back if I were you. In many countries there's an absolute right to a refund within a "cooling off" period after a purchase, especially when a credit card is used. I don't know Adobe's policy in other countries.
Lightroom uses a number of paradigms that differ markedly from other software, in particular in the role of the catalogue and the nature of Lightroom's non-destructive editing. If you don't want to invest the time to understand this (or you have, and don't like it), then Lightroom is not for you.

Try using RecBoot to kick it out of recovery mode. If that does not work, try a manual install, as outlined in link below. If it STILL keeps entering recovery mode, you most likely need a new logic board.

Since you have no credit history, my guess is you would need at least a year of on time payments, and I'm not sure a pre-paid account would qualify as you can stop at any time.
You didn't specify your age, but getting started int he credit world is not easy - you may try applying for a gas card, or a credit card, and USE them, pay them off each month - and expect to take a year or more to establish a record. -
I have one of the original iPods. I also had an old aluminum Mac. I had a lot of music stored on both. My Mac no longer works because the software doesn't update. But my iPod still works and has all of my old music stored. I'd like to sync it to my current PC, but the adapter is so old that it doens't work with new laptops. I have one of the oriignal IPOD's circo 2006. I've got about 150 tunes on it which has been fine but today tried to add another 200 or so and was advised I need about 848 MB to load them. Is there any solution. I have 2 playlists. One with the original 150 tunes and one with the addiitional 200 tunes. Thoughts as now my IPOD won't sync at all and I don't want to delete any of the songs if I don't have to.
How much storage on the IPOD - I have one that has 60GB on it. Also have an IPOD shuffle that held less songs.
As your IPOD does not have enough storage for all of your songs, you have to create a list to sync to it that does not exceed the storage size.
For instance my IPOD shuffle had its only list of songs that did not exceed storage.
The IPOD gets them all because I only loaded the songs from my CDs that I really liked into ITUNES - leaving out the ones I skipped over. -

I have a rather old iMac 20" (mid 2007) and I want to upgrade the Hard drive. How do I change it? How do I transfer all my applications? May I just copy the old hd into the new one? Thanks.
There are many online tutorials on how to change out the HD on a mid 2007 iMac. One of the originals is from 2007 and is Upgrade your iMac 20" or iMac 24" aluminum (mid 2007) to 1TB Hard Drive and 4 GB RAM - DIY Guide. As far as migrating your system Apple helps out with that in Setup Assistant which automatically starts when you turn on a new Mac for the first time. After you have installed the new HD you will have to format the new HD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and then you will have to install OS X. The first time you turn it on Setup Assistant will start. Follow the directions and you will be fine. In order to restore your information you will need to backup what is on the current internal HD first. I'd recommend using Time Machine (Assuming you are using Leopard or later) AND also creating a bootable clone using either SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.

We had a 16gb iPad that was close to full capacity so bought a 32 gb one to allow us to add more music. We had over 1200 songs on the old one. Just tried putting it allon the new one but it will only take 777 songs. Very frustrating!!!!! Any ideas why this is happening.

First we need to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports. Each would take a different adapter to connect with the TV. -
