Hi I have tried this so many times and I just get stuck with the blank screen and the white circle I have done it for over six hours and nothing has happened… hence to why I want to restore factory settings… I just seem to be going round in circles and nothing is happening… I have the Ipad 3 4g and it’s version is the latest one… Please can anyone help me to either a different way of restoring it which I may put out there a successful and easy and quick way!! Please help!
Since you've just admited that your iPad is jailb%%^&, there's nothing anyone here can do to help you. It is against forum rules to discuss a JB'd iPad and since you've done it, and you're stuck, you should now see why doing this is just not bright.

Why do you need to access your email? To reset the password?

i've jail break Iphone 3GS. i tried to restore setting (erasing all data and media) without connecting to computer/itunes. When it starts it freezes by showing apple logo only. what is the solution. please help me out. Here i don't have iphone service center too.

Hello im trying to "erase all content and settings" on my iphone 4, but it keeps asking for a 4 digit passcode and i have no idea what that passcode is. It's none of my previous passwords I've had on the phone since i've used it. How do i find out that Passcode?
Are you sure it's asking for a four digit code?
iOS 7 has a new feature called Activation Lock. It requires your Apple ID and password before doing something like an iPhone reset. This is a new anti-theft feature. -

I was able to successfully fix it but when I inserted my sim card it says that simcard not recognized. I tried all the solutions in the net but nothing seemed to work. What should I do? I know. I was with my brother when we did this. He didnt clearly understood the question that poped-up. Regarding the simcard, after successfully restoring it on itunes my simcard won't work. I'm not able to send and receive calls and messages.

Hello there, can someone help me please. I erased all data and settings last night and now my IPAD just shows a line across it with the apple logo. It is not responding to the on / off switch. I have connected the IPAD to my laptop so i can reinitilise it but nothing is happening - it doesn't appear as a device on my laptop (the USB port is working OK) Has anyone else experienced this and how did you overcome it? It's really been puzzling me, I've never logged in the Apple site on a laptop before - I have been getting the same message 'Unable to verify iCloud account' every time I try and erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. When I go to iCloud on my laptop and sign in using my Apple ID it signs me in. These are the same log in details I am prompted for when trying to erase all data/content from the phone. If anybody could point me in the direction that would be really appreciated. Thanks

Too bad my 4S is 2 years old. Wifi is dead. I had to upgrade to 5S, but 5S is soooooo much faster than 4S so it's kind of good outcome. Without the 4S breaking down, a stingy person like me would have never upgraded the phone. -
I am using apple configerator. I am unable to prepare or supervise 1 ipad. After preparing, I get an error that says "refresh completed but with an error, unable to verify supervision state" . I have erased all content and set up as a new ipad and tried again with no success. Any help would be appreciated

How to erase all datas and factory reset in iMac
Boot into the Recovery HD (restart holding down Command+r). Launch Disk Utility and erase the drive (all data will be gone forever so make sure you have a reliable copy of any valuable data). Quit out of Disk Utility when formatting is complete and select re-install OS X (you'll need an Internet connection).

How can I have the passcode reset or what do I do now?You'll have to restore the phone to remove the passcode. If it's running iOS 7 with Find My iPhone enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it, as exlained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what issues you were having that led up to the attempted Erase All, and/or exactly what behavior you are seeing now (restarting, not responding at all, etc). If you are seeing an Apple Logo screen and your iPhone does not appear to be starting correctly, you may find the following articles helpful:

i tried to erase all content and reset settings from the device option.it is taking too long and its been 15 hours but not yet done.its showing a skeleton sigh with buffering and sometimes flipping to apple sign.

You iPod has been jail broken. Unfortunately you are on your own here. I can offer that you need to find out which method and software was used to JB.
