HT201317 Just got a 4S. We've taken 1,000 photos which are in the camera roll. Photo Stream has loaded the last half of the 477 pictures. Not sure what happened to the first 523 pictures. How do I request that these be uploaded again to Photo Stream?

I have a 4S and have taken 1,000 photos. For some reason only the last half of them, 477 pictures, loaded to Photo Stream. I think I turned off Photo Stream in attempting to set up iCloud. How do I re-load the first set of 523 photos again to Phot Stream?

Welcome to the Apple community.
It is not very easy at all to add photos to photo stream from your camera roll on your phone, the only way I'm aware that this can be achieved is to take a screenshot of each photo. It would be much simpler to sync your photos to a computer and add them to photo stream from there.
Photostream when enabled will only add photos from the camera roll that were taken post photostream activation.

I just bought my macbook pro and it's charged up to 100% and is still plugged in but now shows the battery at 98%. How is this possible when it's plugged in to the charger and the green light is on?

The system regularly lets the battery drop to about 95% when on the charger, then recharges to 100%. This lets the batery exercise "just a little" all of the time and saves the recharge curcuits from overuse.
Regualr occurence for me.
Also ... you need to let your battery work at least once per month. Let it run down to 40%, but not less if you can at all avoid it. Running thr battery fully dead will shorten the battery life significantly.

the users I am talking about is the process users defined in realm.
in realm those users are defined as Default authenticator and OID authenticator.

Sign into the App Store with your Apple ID. App Store should be in the Dock.

How do I find out which Apple ID my mac is registered under?

Hi! I have a Macbook Air and would really like to access the free up-dates in the app store. Nearly every time I try to, it asks me for my Apple ID. I think that over the years I ended up with three Apple IDs. Each time I try them, however, it tells me "Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance." I can't contact support because I don't live in the US and there is no support calling option for my country and no Apple Stores anywhere near me.
Can anyone answer:
1. What does this message mean?
2. How do I know which Apple ID my computer is registered under? (When I tried to register my computer under one of the three IDs I know of it keeps telling me my serial number is registered under another ID but I have no idea what one! I don't think it is one of the three I know of because each one tells me this message.)
3. Why do some updates just update when I click them and don't ask for an Apple ID and why does this update that I REALLY need to get work done at my job require an Apple ID? As in, I updated to the new iTunes no problem a little while ago. I'm now trying to get the iWorks update and the OS X Yosemite update and am running across this really annoying Apple ID problem.

Unable to update Firefox on Mac OS X 10.5.8 due to insufficient priveledges, but I'm not sure what that means?

I went to upgrade my version of Firefox and was able to download the newer version, but when I went to install it, the system asked if I wanted to replace the old with the new (the only option given), and when I said 'yes' the system popped up with "you are unable to do this because you have insufficient privileges." Not sure what that means. I have been able to download other things just fine.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

You should not get that message if you are simply trying to load the shuffle with songs from your iTunes library. If iTunes is trying to Update or Restore the shuffle, and you get that message, try the suggestions in this article

Where did you obtain that serial number from?
Note that the serial numbers shown by installed applications are truncated by design. They will be missing 4digits.

I just bought the MacBook Pro 13" and it says I have Adobe Lightroom 5, but when I try to register it and put serial number , it only has 6 boxes. Do they mean serial number of my computer because thats 12 digits

Did you buy this directly from Apple or from elsewhere. I've never heard of Lightroom coming pre-installed so it sounds like you MBP might not really be "new."
