If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

i got new iphone and when i connect it to my pc, it lost all my current data and replaced it with the backup on my computer, which is from april. so i have lost all my calendar information and schedule. does anyone know how i can reverse this and get my information back?
Every backup replaces the old one, so, unless you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you can't get back your calendar info.
The only time iTunes will not replace a backup is, when you use it to restore from, this one will stay in the backup list in iTunes.

From what you're describing appears to be Activation Lock, a security measure provided by Apple that makes it harder for people to use a lost or stolen device. You will need to enter the password for the Apple ID the device is prompting you for.

I'd also advise u not to constantly call the phone as you may cause the person who took the phone to be in distress if its not a trustable person, or it has not been handed to the police or any safe place; resulting in your phone getting turned off, drain battery faster etc.

2. Have you turned on Find my iPhone in the initial setup process? It's integrated into iOS 5 I believe due to iCloud. Not iOS4

Click the tiny iCloud icon on the left side of your screen, select find my iPhone.
DO NOT ALERT THE THIEF BY PLAYING A SOUND IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DECREASE CHANCES OF RECOVERY - It's a no turning back for whoever he/she is.
Possibly, get a trusted buddy or anyone close to you to borrow you an iPhone WITH Find my iphone, you probably can track it real time with the google maps on Find my iPhone. You need to login to your apple id.

scenario is that when i purchased iphone 4g. It has restarting issue so i took that for warranty claim, They kept only handset not the box and other accessries. pls helpApps and ibooks you should be able to re-download for free, assuming that they are still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account that you originally used to buy/download them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . Music bought from iTunes can only currently be re-downloaded if you are in the US, and I assume that you are in Carlisle here in England in which case you won't be able to re-download music.
Have you still got the purchases on your computer, or on a backup that you can copy back onto the computer and then load into iTunes ?
