Hi, i'm new here.. and totaly confused about this product!

I'm attempting to expand my knowlege and skill base by learning both Flash Professional and Flash Builder...
Primarily for the purpose of portability and cross-platform compatibility in my application solutions. I'm not a long-lived hard core programmer, I mainly work in design/art and know my basics for C and C# development.
However, most of the training I've had so far related to Flash and/or Builder APARENTLY uses a subversion of 4 (4.6?).. and well, since I only have access to this Cloud.. Flash Builder is version 4.7, yet has NO VISUAL DEVELOPMENT TOOLS?!?
what. the. double-hocky-sticks is going on?
How should I be looking at these products to create a comprehensive workflow for my projects? Do I create only the UX/UI in Flash Professional with a minimal amount of actionscript.. and utilize something like Flash Builder for creating my libraries and backend stuff?
I am seriously confused here. It didn't look like to me that Flash Professional was very MXML friendly... if at all.
Is Adobe going to embrace a new frontend solution like XAML or HTML5... I am completely aghast by this.

In terms of browser compatibility, the flash runtime is not available on IOS devices and support on Mobile browsers has been withdrawn by Adobe. The flash platform can generate applications for mobile devices and standalone applications for the desktop using Adobe Air and 'projectors'.
Flash professional doesn't do MXML at all.
The Design View was controvercially removed from Flash Builder with the release of FB 4.7. Many people relied upon it, others built their interfaces by writing MXML.
Adobe is no longer developing the Flex SDK and has donated the Flex SDK to Apache as an Open Source project. Flex does not figure in future Adobe development that I can see.
Adobe is embracing HTML5.

You can just use the storage without syncing.
Open the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the gear icon to bring up the menu, and choose Preferences. In the Preferences dialog click on the Files tab. For Sync On / Off choose Off.
To upload files for storage you will use a web browser instead of sync. Open the Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files. You can upload files using Upload from the Actions menu. Alternatively you can drag and drop files from Windows Explorer or Mac OS X Finder.

I have the new iPad and am looking at this product as a external hard drive (Can I pictures /videos or any other file wirelessly to the conected hard drive attached to the airport ????

It is technically possible, but not out of the box - and limited.
How-to:
Once you have setup the USB-Drive on the Aiport Extreme and configured sharing you need an app on the iPhone/iPad. I have successfully used "GoodReader". However there might be others/better.
(In Goodreader the Airport Extreme should show up on the right hand bottom as AFP if your iPad and Airport Extreme are on the same WLAN.)
The limit however is:
- Works ONLY with files IN the Goodreader app (NO iPhotos, iBooks, ...)
- can only MOVE files/folders to/from the harddisk or delete them (can automatically sync, which might be nice)
- can NOT open files ON the harddisk - needs to download to iPad first
- can NOT create folders on the harddisk either
- nor can you move them around on the harddisk, it's always download/upload to the iPad first
Unfortunately I haven't found anything better. From memory:
Samsungs Goflex Satellite and Kensingtons Wi...something (could be wifi, not sure now) can only "stream" stuff to the iPad - and they too need an(other) app for that!
However if somebody knows anything better - I'd be eager to know, :-)

I'm new here and I have been thinking of getting
Dreamweaver for some time now. I have been using MS FrontPage and a
product that works off of it called FrontLook. I was told that MS
FrontPage put in a lot of extra code that wasn't needed and was
making the pages load slower. Also I had problems with what I made
up and how it would load up it would never be the same as I
designed. So I thought that Dreamweaver would be the way I should
go. Do I need to get all the extras like in the "Creative Suite 3"?
I do want my site to stand out and grab the attention of people
who come and visit but not a lot of stuff that would make it
childish. Oh I have also use “HotDog” by “Sausage
“Works” and was not happy as they do not have a good
support system there. I was also thinking of getting Photo Shop for
my use with the camera. Also hoping that Photo Shop has a good
graphic design program built into it!?! What should I get? Thanks

Sorry; I'm not really familiar with Interakt. I guess you
could just
purchase CS3 and see if it does everything you need, then
purchase
Interakt or other software if you need something CS3 doesn't
offer.
I think Illustrator would be a great program, though I've
used it very
little, and that was years ago. I believe Illustrator is used
more for
simple illustrations, line drawings, etc., rather than for
touching up
photos. You can also use it to work with SVG images, which is
something
that interests me.
I haven't used any of the other programs you mentioned.
Contribute is a
program designed to let amateurs easily publish information
online, I
believe.
I'd also like to get Flash. I'm not a big fan, but they say
it can
actually be pretty cool if used properly. Also, I would
expect Adobe to
make some big improvements with it.
Another program that might interest me is Fireworks. It was
Macromedia's
answer to Photoshop; not as extravagant but more adapted to
creating
images for websites. I think I read where Adobe kept
Fireworks and
upgraded it along with the other programs. If so, it might
have some
nice features.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

That is priceless!!! Thanks! I sure needed a good laugh after spending/wasting hours & days trying to either get my c6280 to give up on its Ink System Failure fixation, or find a decent replacement. Unfortunately I need the Smart Web Printing feature that I guess only HP has, or I'd try a different brand. And now even HP has very few models with that available.
My error msg is a little different from those previously stated, but close: 0xc18a0201. Even tho there were frustrations with my c6280, I did like several of its unique features which are hard to find now under $100. I hate how HP (& I suppose other brands also) are CONSTANTLY changing models & then of course ink cartridges.
Oh heavens, I've had the c6280 a whopping 2 1/2 years! I'm sure they want us poor slobs to have to buy a new one every year & a day! To say nothing of the exorbitant prices for ink. And now if this one is really dead in the water, I have SIX unused #02 ink cartridges which I cannot return---I got them in a combo pack, & for some reason have wound up with THREE lite pink & THREE lite blue cartridges, while having to buy extras of the other colors, that ran out before the others!!! Yeah, & what's with that not being able to print in BLACK if a color runs out????

Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.

The DVD recorder I'm referring to is one I've use for years. It is not attached to my aging iMac in any way. I simply play the video from my camcorder (mini-dv tape based Canon HV20) into the DVD recorder and create a DVD that can be played in any DVD player. I can only do minimum editing so what goes in is what I get. This has been fine for creating dupes of the various things I shoot.
If I buy a new iMac (21 inch), I'd like to be able to download the video to the iMac through iMovie, work with it to whatever degree I wish, and burn it to a DVD that can also be played in any DVD player -- or to use as a master to dupe copies.
What I'm understanding from you and others is that this would be possible if Apple had included iDVD in the software that comes with the iMac, or if I purchase the iLife Family Pack, or buy the correct version of Toast. I'm hoping I can persuade Apple to sell me an iMac with iDVD installed.
Essentially I want to move from a basic process of creating DVD copies to the more sophisticated process of creating one from an iMac.

Yes 10.8.2 is the latest version of Mountain Lion. 10.7 was Lion and 10.6 was Snow Leopard.

2. I use an enclosed HD from my old IMac for the set up, upon completion, only my documents and calendar are transferred, emails, Imessages, stickies, notes, music and photos are not. From what I understand EVERYTHING can be transferred, am I right? If I am right, can I re do the set up process again ? And how?

On Q2, simply connect the EHD to the new machine and you can drag and drop. If the EHD is a backup HD (Time Machine or a Clone) then you can use Migration Assistant to migrate the data over. Also open the Mac App Store and update the new iMac, 10.1.1 is out of date now. Update it to 10.10.3 and install any other recommended updates. You should check for updates at least once a month and install all recommended updates.

Your question(s) is/are a little hard to understand. So your husband has an iPod as well as a netbook and he wants to be able to sync iPod with this netbook is that correct? If so, he'll need to first download and install iTunes assuming the netbook is running some version of Windows such as 7, Vista, or XP.

As for importing or ripping music, he'll have to either use an external CD/DVD drive that is attached via USB or rip the songs to another PC you have with a built in CD/DVD drive. Once you have imported them to the other computer, you can transfer the songs to an external hard drive or to his iTunes library via Home Sharing.

Yes, iOS 7 will run on your iPhone 4. However, not all the new features of iOS 7 are supported on the iPhone 4, some require an iPhone 4s or iPhone 5 to operate.
