Thanks for your help Brij011 - much appreciated. Apologies as I'm a newbie but I've looked at the info for synching and I appear to have all the switches flicked on my iPad. Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

I have updated my Apple ID via my iPad, but my other devices still think the ID is the old one and I can't work out how to update them

Yesterday, after discovering that the email address I used as my Apple ID was about to be deleted, I used my iPad to update my Apple ID to a new one. Everything went fine, until I moved on to my iPhone, which is still asking me for the password for my OLD Apple ID. I can't work out how to tell either my iPhone or my Macbook that this one is out of date and get them to change to the new one. iTunes is changed, but the settings aren't. Can anyone help me please?

You haven't stuffed it, you just haven't signed out, so do that now, everywhere your old ID appears needs to be signed out of.
Any variant of "Find My" (phone/mac/pad etc) that's signed in should be signed out.
List what needs a sign out if you don't know how to.

HT5621 d is still registering the old ID and I can't work out how to change my icloud Apple ID.

I have changed my out Apple ID for a new one. This has been successful for iTunes etc but not for iCloud. I can't seem to work out how to change my account which is the email address used for my old Apple ID.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Do not store them in the Cloud. It isn't really storage. For iTunes purchases, for example, it is just re-downloading a purchase. If a label decides to no longer make the item available it will disap[pear from the cloud and that will be it for you.
You can't store items on an external drive simply by dragging them there. That's too complicated for iTunes and how it is set up to work. I know I post on this 10x a week and there's many other posts discussing this. I suggest you browse a bit first. Your options are basically to either put your whole library on the eternal drive (which is a nuisance if you don't want to drag it everywhere with you), or to copy individual items to the external drive, delete them from the internal drive, then re-add them as new items (re-adding to playlists, etc.).

I can't figure out how to parametrize my SQL statement - lil help please?

I was deleting records via the string-concatenation method, which I've come to understand is bad, due to security any possibly other issue. I want very much to parametrize my delete statement, but I just can't see to get it to work
The code below is my best shot at it - it returns an Oracle exception about "invalid table name". I assume that means the the substitution of the parameter for the value simply hasn't been performed, so the database is trying to process literally ":oracleTable", and the like.
Can someone please set me straight with this?

I guess I was thinking of parameters oversimplistically as just a canned-search-and-replace-text function or something like that.

When I use the and - keys on their own it used to adjust exposure (in develop mode) but now it adjusts contrast and i can't work out how out change it back to exposure?

How do you change + and - keys back to adjusting exposure rather than contrast? I can't find any documentation about this.

I've just changed servers for my email and have automatically installed it on to Thunderbird but can't work out how to get the Sent, Junk, Trash boxes to show?

All that's showing is my Inbox and a Deleted box under it. I don't have a Sent, Drafts or Archive icons showing and when I send emails they go but they don't save to either Sent or Drafts.

The icon for Norton Identity Safe has disappeared and I can't figure out how to get it back on my toolbar.

I use Norton which has a feature called "Identity Safe." In the old version of Mozilla, the icon for this feature was available on my toolbar. Now that I have converted to the latest version of Firefox, the icon has disappeared and I cannot figure out to get it back. I can still activate the Identity Safe by opening Norton, but I want to restore the shortcut.

Symantec have made an update for their add-ons to work in Firefox 4, but they only listed them as compatible with Firefox 4.0, they need to update them to let them work in Firefox 4.0.1, they have indicated this will be happening soon. Have SB Live 24b, and I can't figure out how.

Have SB Li've 24b, and I can't figure out how to get the Speakers to work at the same time as the headphones? Basicly I want to be able to leave my headphones pluged in and so when I want to use them, I can just turn off the speakers. Is there a way to do this? I tried to plug the head phones into the jack on the on-board sound, but I guess that is disabled after installing the SB Li've. Any Help?
