Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way I can password protect my text messages. Thanks!

I'd like to find a way to password protect my messaging apps. Is there anyway I can do that? Thanks. Blessings, Miranda charityministries.org

You cannot password protect individual apps, unless the developer builds this into the app.  The only thing you can do is put a passcode on the phone itself.  Settings > General > Passcode Lock.

Hello, i am wondering if there is any way i can expand my ipad memory by using an SD card, i would like to put some pics but mainly music onto it to free up alot of my memory space and even APPS if that is possible, i am aware u can use Camera Connection kits, to that my question would be can i also store music on there, i also am away u can get an external wifi hard drive but id like to steer away from that as it is a shared WIFI unit and im sure id upset alot of people if i was to take that option

Last of my questions, will any wireless flash drive be compatible with my ipad or no??
That's a broad question - it's possible that other wireless flash drives may work, but it is doubtful that all of them will. I am mostly familiar with AirStash, and it has been around for a long time. There are also portable wireless hard disk drives such as the Seagate Wireless Plus or SSDs such as the Kingston Wi-Drive. You have plenty of options to consider.

  • I have a MacPro from 2007 and am wondering if there is any way I can upgrade to Mountain Lion.

I have a MacPro from 2007 and am wondering if there is any way I can upgrade to Mountain Lion. I get a message that it can't be upgraded even though I have downloaded it.

Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) model number 7,1 or higher
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) model number 2,1 or higher
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Xserve (Early 2009) model number 3,1 or higher
    Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory
8 GB or more of available space
What gumsie posted is correct - if it is't compatible, normally it won't download.

I recently bought an iPhone 5s from boost mobile I thought service would be decent but it really *****. I'm wondering if there is any way I can switch carriers maybe to us cellular seeing that they recently added new prepaid plans and have good service in my area.  I do know boost operates with sprint but  not sure what I can do because having an expensive phone with crappy service really *****

Sorry, but Boost reportedly does not offer unlocking for iPhones, so you're stuck with them unless you can return the iPhone for a refund and cancel the service, or can sell the iPhone to someone who could use it with Boost.

  • I recently had a shuffle stolen and wondered if there was any way apple can trace it if someone else tries to sync or use the ipod?

I recently had a shuffle stolen and wondered if there was any way apple can trace it if someone else tries to sync or use the ipod?

No, manufacturers generally do not track people's stolen property. The shuffle has no means to connect to the Internet so you can't track it yourself. Thankfully it's only $49.

  • Is there any way I can download my received text messages to my computer

I have a BB 8830 World Edition.  Is they any way I can download my received text messages to my computer.  If so, how?  Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

To backup/store your messages use Blackberry Desktop Manager software.
Connect your device to the PC.
    Run the  Blackberry Desktop Manager
Select "Backup and Restore" icon on the application window
Click on "Advanced" button and select the information that has to be stored.
When backup completes - there is a *.ipd file on your computer created. It contains all necessary information.
Later you can write information from this file to the blackberry device with the same mechanism.
For now there is no such a standard application to read stored messages on PC Computer.
Try to find third-party applications for that purpose.

  • Is there any way i can recieve my sons text messages on my phone

i have a 14 year old son is there any way i can recieve the same text messages on my phone as he gets

I see no reason to think this would not be legal.
Your son is not old enough to enter into a cell phone agreement with Verizon, so I assume YOU are the account owner. There is no law keeping you from putting an app on YOUR phone to track the texting history from YOUR phone. Whether or not he will be able to notice this app running in the background and disabling it is another matter entirely.
If you are unable to find/use an app for such a task, then what mdram4x4's suggestion is the only way. Of course, if your son only has a basic phone, the chance for an app which would do this is not very likely.

  • I was wondering if there is a way I can update everything on my macbook with version os x 10.5.8.

I have an old macbook laptop version os x 10.5.8, I was wondering how I can update to the lastest version to get mountian lion etc. I have an iphone and ipad and want to put icloud on my laptop and any other programs that I will be able to use with my studies as a teachers.
    Thanks

First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.
then you must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least, more if you can afford it)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...

It's been pulled from the online store & Apple Stores, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard.
Call Apple Sales...in the US: 1-800-MY-APPLE.

  • My ipod doesnt want to turn on completely and even if i plug it into itunes it wont turn on. i was wondering if there is a way i can get all my photos back from my ipod ?

in the beginning my ipod was working fine and then came to a point that i can only use it while it is connected to a charger. my brother went to go fix it so then everything was working fine. & a month or two later the apps on my ipod would stop working . i would open it but then they would just shut back down. & i told my brother about it and he said all i had to do was reset the ipod. so he did that and the apps where working fine. then 10 minutes later i pressed one of the apps and the ipod turned white and shut off. now all it does it shoes the apple then it goes white and turns off again. i really want to get my pictures back because they are important.

I need to talk with tech support, but don't have a phone, cause i can't afford one. My account has been comprimised and need all the devices logged into it logged out.

Go here and click on Account Management. Select a topic and you should be able to select Chat as an option for help.

  • I broke my laptop last week and until I can afford a new one, I'd like to use my ipad for university. Just wondering whether there is a way I can view online lectures? I have an app called my media but its only good for direct download links

Only good for direct download links. I can pick to view my lecture in either audio or video format through WMP or QT from my school website. The formats come in a drop box form, which when on a desktop or laptop open in the player you choose and play. I hope this makes sense

You are asking several different questions. If you need to store your photos, music, and movies on an external volume, you certainly can. Any externally connected hard disk drive will work, connected either directly to your Mac or to your Time Capsule as a shared volume.
You should not rely upon using that as a backup device though. Although you certainly may use it for both purposes, it is a better idea to have dedicated backup devices for a variety of reasons not limited to redundancy. You would not want to simultaneously lose all your pictures as well as your backup. If they are all on the same device, that could happen. Furthermore, a backup cannot back up the volume on which it is running.
As for adding an Extreme or Express, using its LAN port for your iMac, and then enable Internet sharing so you can effectively use the iMac as a "hotspot", you can do that too, but I am unclear on what benefit you believe this arrangement would convey for you.
An Extreme's Guest network is separate from its Main network; that is the reason for having it.

i recently bought a macbook pro and i made a new apple id. my last macbook had a different id as well and i was wondering if there's a way of transferring all my music from the other laptop to the new one without having to use my old apple id? if it makes any type of difference i have an iphone 5 so i tried transfering the music but it only transfered certain things and not my entire album.

Making a new Apple ID was the worst thing you could of done. This is very bad to do. Not sure why people do that. Your Apple ID is Your Apple ID. You only need one and it is best to only have one Apple ID for all apple devices.
Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you.

I'm wondering if there is any way to view the results of the form other than in a table?  Is it possible to print responses one by one in PDF format, or word, etc?  I'd like to create a form for proposal applications, and the spreadsheet format results are nearly unusable for this type of form.

    Hi Nalani500 ,
Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
    1) Go to the response file
    2) Select the response you want to print
    3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

    Hello, Gazzlaa84.
You can import your media a couple different ways.  If you plan on keeping the media on the external drive, I would just direct iTunes to read the media folder on the external.  Here are the steps on how to make that change.
