I have to find the inital value of a loan
The information given is the payment per month, rate of interest, months of loan
Premium(double payment, double rate, int months);

premium -= (premium * newRate)
This does not work please help
example if
for Interest = 12.0
payment = 101.0
m = 1

KajI think premium is a class variable of some sort. But
it doesn't get reinitialized which can't be good.I was rather refering to the fact that the method declaration had an ; at the end, and that there were no "body" of the method declared. The code was just "hanging" in the air.

The problem is when I test it on my computer it works but when I upload it to my phone it freezes when I click Sets Anteriores button.

thank youMy first guess is you're simply generating an error. You'll always want to load this on your device in quick debugging over USB so you can see any errors you're generating.
Outside that, if you plan on accessing anything inside the SWF you should be loading the SWF into the correct context. Relevant sample code:

If you're doing this on iOS you'll need to stripped SWFs if you plan on using any coding (ABC) inside the files. You mentioned iOS so I won't get into that here, but just incase, here's info on stripping external SWFs:

I need help with a browser problem
I am was given a new iMac G3 (from 2001) which was really never used.I have not yet had any serious problems with it, but really could use some help with a browser problem.
I have 4 different web browsers that needs the macro media flash player update. The browsers I use are internet explorer, iCab, Netscape, and the original Mozilla Firefox.
It would be of great appreciation for the readers of this post to answer my question.

As Tom has suggested, plugins need to be installed in the Plug-Ins folder for the browser.
Typically each browser will have its own Plug-Ins folder, usually located in the same folder containing the browser itself. In order for each of several browsers to access the same plugins, the plugins must be replicated and placed in each of the Plug-Ins folders for each of the browsers. The easy way to do that is to hold down the Option key while dragging a plugin to the new location - a copy (not an alias) of the plugin will be generated at the location it is dragged to.
Most plugins will display a Netscape icon regardless of where they are located - this is normal.
It is not unusual for the installer for a plugin to default its install to the Plug-Ins folder for Internet Explorer. So be it. Just replicate the new plugin to the other Plug-Ins folders as needed.
Note that some plugin installs will involve more than one item. For those, be sure to replicate all items for it. Using labels can help identify what is new, what has been most recently added, in a Plug-Ins folder. -

First design and implement a class called PairOfDice, composed of two six-sided Die objects. Using the PairOfDice class, design and implement a class to play a game called Pig. In this game, the user competes against the computer. On each turn, the current player rolls a pair of dice and accumulates points. The goal is to reach 100 points before your opponent does. If, on any turn, the player rolls a 1, all points accumulated for that round are forfeited and control of the dice moves to the other player. If the player rolls two 1s in one turn, the player loses all points accumulated thus far in the game and loses control of the dice. The player may voluntarily turn over the dice after each roll. Therefore the player must decide to either roll again (be a pig) and risk losing points, or relinquish control of the dice, possibly allowing the other player to win. Implement the computer player such that it always relinquishes the dice after accumulating 20 or more points in any given round.
I realize this is a long code, so it would be greatly appreciated to anyone who writes this one for me, or can at least give me any parts of it. I honestly have no clue how to do this because our professor is a dumbass and just expects us to know how to do this...he doesn't teach us this stuff...don't ask. If you are genuine, the program is very easy to write, so, your Professor is correct when he said you should
be able to do it. I'm still very much in the beginner category at java, and it took me only 20 mins to write
(+5 mins to design it on paper). 2 classes in one file < 100 lines. Most of the regulars here would do it in half the time / half the lines.
All of the clues are in the description, break them down into their various if / else conditions. Write it down on paper.
Have a go. Try to achieve something. Post what you've tried, no-one will laugh at you, and you will be
pleasanty surprised at the level of help you will get when you've "obviously" made some effort.
Again, have a go. If you don't like problem-solving, then you don't like programming. So, you gotta ask
yourself - "what am I doin' here?" -

i was wondering if someone could help me with a Motion2 problem i'm having regarding masks.
i'm working on this simple animated scene of a car going by a beach - the photo is from the passenger side and shows the outside mirror.
i'm moving the background (different from the original that came with the car) and i want to move an image of tokyo inside the mirror housing too.
i figured out how to do the mask but when i try to animate the image of tokyo the mask layer moves with it. when i lock the mask i can't move the image - ???
there's got to be a way to lock the mask but be able to move what it is masking..

Need help with applet related problems
First of all hello to everyone. I'm new to this forum. I usually can solve my problems google-ing around, but this time I just ran out of ideas.
I'm trying to develop a jni applet that can run native code for performance. I used netbeans so far and the applet works great when run from within the ide. At some point a managed to make the applet run inside firefox and iexplore, however somehow i screwed something up and now i can't make it run anymore. I don't really know what i did but i think it may be related to these lines in the console since everything up until awt works fine in the applet:

Hi friends . . . I'm not sure if this is a forum that could help me figure out my new problem . . . but I'll give it a try. . .I need some help . . . My email is sometimes being sent to the wrong address. Instead of my Yahoo address, they're sent to AOL instead. At first I thought this was an eBay or Paypal problem, but other mail that I subscribe to is all of a sudden going to AOL instead of my Yahoo address . . .In all of these cases, the AOL address was never registered with the site. I'm not using an external POP mail program . . . just standard Yahoo mail with iMac and Firefox. Anyone have any clue what's going on . . . .thanks in advance for any help . . .

u haven't defined the PK entry in the Establishment EJB Bean in DDYes look in the standard DD.
What's more I need both DD as I would with most ejb containers.
The field DB_ESTABLISHMENT_ID is required and I cannot set it to NULL.

I need help with a iMac problem my brother has!
Hello! So my brothers old iMac (around 2-3 years old) would just not start. When i pressed the start button on the back of the computer the screen just turned white with a apple logo in the middle and the typical wheel spinning. We waited for about 30 minutes but still nothing. My friend told me to hold shift+command+r+p and that brings up a menu after a while if i want to restore from time machine, reinstall max os x, get help on the internet or so some stuff with the discs. The last 2 things are not important tho. When i then press "restore from timemachine" or something it starts to search for a backup. After 10 minutes it still hasnt found one. So i went back and clicked "reinstall mac os x" and it showed the disks i was going to install the new mac os x software on.
There was one called "Macintosh HD" and one called "Recovery HD". But they both were locked and i could not install mac os x beacause they were the only 2 disks there. Macintosh HD was about 600GB memory and 150GB free and the other one was only about 600MB. How can i fix this? It would be nice if we could restore the computer back to before because he had some things from school but if it dosnt work we can do a full new mac os x so it is all new and no programs/users on it. I hope you understood what i said because my english is not that good
Its OS x 10.8.4 i think, might be 10.8.2/3 or something xDI suggest verifying that your hard drive is OK. First power off the system, then hold down the Command and R keys to get into the Mac OS X recovery mode. Once you select your language you can run Disk Utility to determine whether your hard drive is functioning correctly. I suggest using the 'Repair Disk' and Repair Disk Permissions' options. If Disk Utility finds problems (SMART errors) then you will need to get them resolved before proceeding. I believe too many SMART errors can lock your drive.
I also suggest reviewing the following Apple website describing the iMac 1TB Seagate Hard Drive Replacement Program to see if your system is affected. The program has been around for quite awhile. According to the document, eligibility may have ended April 12th depending on when you purchased the system, but it's worth checking.

Still Need Help with this String Problem
basically, i need to create a program where I input 5 words and then the program outputs the number of unique words and the words themselves. for example, if i input the word hello 5 times, then the output is 1 unique word and the word "hello". i have been agonizing over this dumb problem for days, i know how to do it using hashmap, but this is an introductory course and we cannot use more complex java functions, does ANYONE know how to do this just using arrays, strings, for loops, if clauses, etc. really basic java stuff. i want the code to be able to do what the following program does:

Desperately need help with a recognition problem
Running on Windows XP Home Edition.
I have had a problem with my 30gig ipod video since the start of the month. Whenever I plug it in, windows displays a "Usb Device not recognized.
One of the usb decives attatched to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it.".
For the past few days i've crawled through search engines and forums searching for a fix but nothing i've tried seems to work. I've tried using different usb ports, reinstalling the software, resetting my ipod but none of ipod's 5 r's worked. In device manager, it just pops up as "unknown device".
I've tried updating the driver with my disc but all I get is "the wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed" and when I click on it's driver details I get a "no driver files are required or have been loaded for this device" message.
Also, sometimes (usually after a reset) the ipod would appear as charging even though it actually isn't. The iPod seemed to work for the guy at the computer shop (who also charged it for me) while using the same usb cable, I took it back and he restored it form me but to no avail. I've tried turning off my firewalls and I hadn't installed any new programs between when my ipod was and wasn't recognized. Yet another thing worth mentioning would be that my computer wasn't turned off properly the night before it stopped working and that I had to hold down the power button as the comp was stuck on "Saving settings" (Yes. I am an idiot) which is my money on what caused the problem, but i'm not 100% as I have been forced to do this a couple of times before. =S.
I would really appreciate any help solving this problem.
Windows XPIf you've tried everything else, one other thing to try is to run Registry Mechanic -- you can download it for free and run diagnosis, but need to pay for full version that actually fixes any problems it finds.
I had exact same problem with two iPods on same computer suddenly (the original 4th gen 60G photo, and the 5th gen 60G video I bought to replace it because I thought it was a hardware problem with iPod.) Neither was recognized (in windows/ in device manager/in iTunes). Sometimes they would charge while connected, but other times they would appear to charge but actually be draining charge.
I tried everything, over about 12 hours spread across a week, but it was after running Registry Mechanic that my new iPod 60g video was finally recognized.
My hypothesis is that between all the Microsoft windows security updates I download, and the iPod new software updates, some kind of error was created in the registry.
Still doesn't seem to recognize my 4th gen 60G iPod though...

One way to measure the amount of energy that is expended during exercise is to use metabolic equivalents (MET). Here are some METS for various activities:
Running 6 MPH: 10 METS
Basketball: 8 METS
Sleeping: 1 MET
The number of calories burned per minute may be estimated using the formula:
Calories/Minute = 0.0175 x MET x Weight in kilograms
Write a program that calculates and outputs the total number of calories burned for a 150-pound person who runs 6 MPH for 30 minutes, plays basketball for 30 minutes, and then sleeps for 6 hours. One kilogram is equal to 2.2 pounds.
I'm assuming I need to declare variables, so I did that. But I'm not sure where to go after doing that. Can I please get some direction here? Any help would be much appreciated I am DESPARATE here. Here's what I've got so far:

Need help with an application problem - Photoshop Elements 3.0
Hi,
I wrote to an Adobe Photoshop Elements forum, but the suggestions made there have not helped solve the problem. A friend suggested that I post about it here as there are likely many of you who use the program.
I start up PSE 3 and it begins to load. When it gets to where it says that it is "building TWAIN menu items" as soon as it says that, it closes. I have put the Photoshop Elements 3.0 Settings file into the trash, emptied the trash then restarted the program (one of the suggestions from the Adobe forum) and that didn't fix the problem. I've deleted that file and uninstalled the program, restarted the computer, then reinstalled the program - and it still closes at the same point in the startup.
I bought my Mac in Dec. 2005 and bought PSE 3 at the computer store the same day, so neither is very old.
Have any of you had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

What are the files actually called, Pearl?
The stuff in that folder will be a "TWAIN" driver or drivers for something that you connect to your computer to take images - a scanner or a camera, for example, (though not many cameras use TWAIN these days).
What brand and model of scanner or camera are you using?
The best solution in such situations is usually to download a new set of current drivers from the manufacturers web site, and install them fresh. Just stick the old ones in the trash once you have done this, and checked that it works.

Soldier in Afghanistan needs help with MBPro display problem
My son is in the Army Infantry (Airborne). His unit is currently stationed in southern Afghanistan on a small Combat Outpost (COP), where he will be for about 8 more months. He has had a MBPro since mid-2008, and his AppleCare Extended warranty is still in affect. This is his description of the state of his MBPro:
"hey dad, an update. I got the mac to boot using PRM reset. Now, it makes the boot noise and the keyboard lights up but the LCD screen still wont come up. From my online research it seems my nvidia graphics card has gone out. Something which can be repaired cheaply at an apple store. However, i have no way to mail back my computer and the repair involves tearing apart the logic board to replace the video card."
I called Apple and was told Apple must receive the laptop stateside. As my son said, it is impossible for him, a lowly Specialist, to ship anything home. The guys in his unit are resourceful, and they do have the tools needed to attempt repairs (spuds, etc.). However, we would have to get a replacement logic board to him (at our expense), and we've looked at www.ifixit.com and found the tutorial for replacing a logic board. I personally would never attempt such a repair, even though I have myself replaced a hard drive in my PB and the power port in my wife's laptop. The logic board is WAY under everything else, and the chances of a screw-up are great. And, of course, the Apple warranty would be voided.
Does anyone have enough experience with logic board repairs to say they SHOULD attempt the repair on site? OR, is there anyone in the military who can suggest a way to actually get this Apple "brick" stateside for repair under the warranty?To be fair to Apple, their warranty does state that the need for a repair/replacement must be shown to be necessary to their satisfaction. That means they have to have the MBPro in their hands to examine it. At this time, we cannot prove that the Nvidia card on the LB has failed. Over the 20+ years I've used Apple computers, they've been very good at honoring their warranties. It's not Apple's fault that my son is in a rather faraway place. How many other high tech companies do you know of who have coverage arrangements in this kind of situation? We're not expecting Apple to do anything more for us right now. If we can get the MBPro stateside, I'm sure Apple will treat us well.
As for a cheap PC laptop, well, that probably wouldn't be a good solution, either. My son is a gamer and uses Windows on the MBPro only for games not available under OS X. The MBPro is an OK, but not great, PC game laptop. However, a cheap PC laptop would probably be WORSE for gaming, so it wouldn't be a good buy. An expensive gamer PC is not an option, as my son hates Windows!
So, there's our conundrum. Right now, it looks like our best solution would be to get a used MBPro (non-Nvidia!), ship it (hoping it gets there in one piece), then swap the memory from the broken machine into the replacement. This will not void the Extended Warranty. Then my son can re-install his data (and Windows) from the external drive that he uses for Time Machine. That's the current idea, anyway.
All-in-all, while this is a complicated problem with no easy solution, it's not that big a deal, relative to everything that's going on in my son's life.

I'm trying to get rid of an old numbering imprint on a film(not digital) image.Actually the overlay option is helpful. It shows the region that you are copying - and i dont think thats causing the issue.
The issue is because you dont have the clip option checked along with Overlay.
Just make sure you have both Overlay and Clipped options checked and you would not see this problem anymore.
