Depending on the license you have for LabVIEW and the toolsets you have installed, you may be able to have a "notch" filter. I would search your pallet for "Bandstop" because a notch is a type of Bandstop filter. Or, you can make a notch out of a high-pass and a low-pass or you can use the filter express VI. If these VIs are not on your pallet than you probably only have the LabVIEW Base and thus, cannot use these options.

(Do I) Need to update legacy WMI filter for Dynamic Distribution List

Wrapping up migration from Exchnage 2003 to Exchange 2010. Have one special DDL called "Everone" that filters for all users with mailboxes AND that are not disabled. This is used for broadcast notices and the second paramater eliminates
NDR's generated by disabled AD accounts that still have mailboxes.
Here is the filter that was created in Exchange 2003:

I will be removing the old Exchange 2003 server soon and need to know if the DDL filter needs to be upgraded before I remove the old server (will it break if not).
Additionally, I think it may need to changed it to an OPATH compatible filter from the EMS and would need help with how to do that. The canned options do not seem to cover the "only enabled users" paramater.

This just started; before it was working fine. Help?

How to design a good 60Hz notch filter?

I tried to design a 60Hz notch filter(59-61 as stop band,tried different kind filters/orders,cont.true)But I can't have a stable output. When test on 60 Hz input,the output signal's amplitude will change in a repeated pattern,sometime the ripples is very small, but sometimes it's big, especially at the waveform beginning. The Fs is 5000, data is sampled every few seconds. Are there any refined 60Hz notch filter can be used, or any better way to design a notch filter?
Averaging is one way to remove the ripples after filtering,but I hope the filter can give a steady output.Thanks!

Hijacking a old thread is never a good idea. I suggest you start your own. Also in order to get help you must explain better what you have done so far, why and how you struggle. The best way to do this, is to post your code, and some signals examples. I know a lot of tricks. And none of them need a fancy toolkit. But you must start your own thread in order to get help from me.

How to design a stable IIR-Filter for FPGA?

Hi, I´m new to Labview for FPGA and currently trying to design a lowpass-filter (for a digital mixer, more or less). It should work with a sample-frequency of 200kHz, a passband edge frequency of 3Hz and a stopband edge frequency of 8Hz. An FIR-filter would have a too large order to be implemented, an IIR one seems more practicable. For the design of the filter I'm using the digital filter design toolkit, refering to its manual and the casestudy with analyzing, modeling, simulating and generating a fixed-point filter. Now, I have problems to get a stable filter. While the manual states to adjust the coefficents by trial and error, the designed filter never matches the floating-point reference. Does anyone have experience in creating such filters? Or a hint, how to optimize the coefficient finding process?

LabVIEW FPGA 8.20 does include a Butterworth filter function (1st, 2nd and 4th order) in the FPGA palette. You can configure it directly using a dialog on your FPGA diagram. The cutoff may not be quite as sharp as you want but it could be an option for you to consider. Once you have configured the filter VI, you have the option of opening up the subVI with the code that is generated based on your filter parameters, which would allow you to further configure the code directly.
I have attached the configuration dialog with the settings you specified.

Resource list filter for filtering on timestamp

Hi,
We need to implement scenario where only XML form messages active in the timestamp are displayed to end users.
For this we have done the following changes :
1) The KM folder permissions are Everyone has read only role and Admin users has Full control
2) IN XML form we have a property which has unique name.
3) There is layout set created , collection rendered and resource rendered, CM repository for having the KM folder under /root
4) the collection rendered has configuration of resource list filter
5) the filters par file is deployed refering the blog : Resource list filter for Flexible UI navigation
In this ,the code references the Folder path and checks for the filter property.
6) the resouce list filter has the java class as the one from par file.
still this is not working. Please let me know if I am missing something.

this is not really correct. A NoClassFoundException is not part of Java core. There only ClassNotFoundException and NoClassDefFoundError do exist.

Hi Jasmine,
In the CVI Library you should find a Advanced Analysis Library. From there go to Signal Processing»FIR Digital Filters and look for any function that ends in _BSF (Band Stop Filter). These functions will give you the coefficients for a filter and then you would convolve it with your signal to filter the signal. Here's some example code that comes with the Wind_BSF filter:

Need to Programmatically Set IRR Filter on Date Field Due to APEX 4.1 Bug

There may be another work around but, here is the problem that we are encountering...
We have a huge table that is partitioned on a DATE field and an IRR that reports on this table. By default, we want to show the most recent 3 days of data. There is a built-in filter for "is in the last 3 Days." Sounds Great! Unfortunately APEX generates the code using TIMESTAMP rather than DATE functions. As a result of this, the query does not perform partition pruning and, as a consequence, it is doing a full table scan which takes forever. Note the use of the "LOCALTIMESTAMP" function in the query that is generated by APEX for this filter:

The bug is that APEX should base the underlying function on the data type of the filtered column.
As a work around, if we create a filter where BUSINESS_DATE >= '4/13/2012' (three business days ago), again, this returns instantaneously. The issue is that we can only set this filter by using the APEX GUI. We need to be able to:
1. Determine the date for 3 business days ago
2. Set this as the default filter.
I tried creating a BEFORE HEADER PL/SQL page process but, it does not appear to be having any effect. Here is that code:

Actually, now that I look further, I don't think it is going to work to simply set the filter programmatically. The end user can still click the column heading where they are only given the choice of the LOCALTIMESTAMP based filters. If they pick one, the page is going to be out to lunch for them.
We really need some other fix. We really need a way to actually address the underlying issue.

There are third party apps in the app store that will allow you to use virtually any printer even if you don't have one of the HP AirPrint compatible printers.
You can even use an app like Pages to create your templates. You can insert art and photos into Pages and it supports file sharing as well. Pages is a Word Processing app and I would be inclined to not use it for your purposes but it will work for some basic designs however it's certainly not ideal for creating artwork.
