You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Doing a reset only requires that you hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The device will restart. This would have no affect on your other device. If you are speaking of a restore, even that will only affect the device that you do the restore on, not both devices. Can you explain what you think the problem is, or what you are experiencing?

If you forgot your pass ode and cannot access your iPad instead of restoring it to the factory settings you can plug it into your iTunes and reset your pass code (just make sure you know your Apple ID) or if you want to reset your entire device make sure you back it up to your computer first.

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That will return it to out of the box condition and you will have to start all over again.

You shoudl not have to re-enter anything.
It should stay on your account where you can access it from any computer/device with itunes.

Why do I need to reset my iPad frequently to keep Internet connection?

I have difficulty sustaining Internet connections. It seems the best "solution" is to reset the network each time. Is there something else that I have done or should be doing to maintain connectivity? My iPad seems to "timeout" on me also-it oftens works on the Internet for a while but then just decides not to do anything more!
