Neeed help installing Mac Os X on External Drive

i have a 10 gb hard drive, and i can install mac os 9, eaasliy but when i tried to install os X on my external hard drive. i rebot from disc one, then click english, then conmtinue, then aggre, and then it ccomes to the part were i pick where to install, and i only see my computer hard drive, Yet when i go to disk utility, i see the drive, and when i put the pb normaally it mounts without a problem. does the little moveable thing next to the power plug matter?

Try this...
First, connect the iPod and open iTunes. In iTunes, go to edit-->preferences. Hit the iPod tab. Uncheck "Show album art on iPod". Click OK. Now go back and reenable the option. Click OK. Let the iPod update. The album art should now be there.
If it doesn't work, then after you disable the option, let the iPod update and eject it. Now connect it back up and reenable the option.

Oracle8170 patch ( to 81711) NEEED HELP Please

I have ora 8.1.7.0 i tried to upgrad it using patch 8.1.7.1.1
when i start installing it , it prompts dialog with message
1) "Error While writing on "D:\oracle\ora81\bin\ociw32.dll"
2) "cant found "D:\oracle\ora81\xdk\lib\XSQLConfig.xml"
I ignored these error and continued my installation and installation ended "successful completed"
Next step was to connect as "Internal" or "sys" (using Sqlpuls) and execute scripts
1) %oraclehome%\rdbms\admin\catalog.xml
2) %oracleHome%\rdbms\admin\catproc.sql
also
3)catrep.sql (only applicable for sites running Oracle Replication)
4)utlrp.sql (optional - will recompile all PL/SQL packages now rather than when accessed for the first time)

Desperately seeking help with ipod touch sync issue

i had an ipod classic 32 recently updated to an ipod touch. i have windows xp media center. i tunes has over 1300 songs. initially tried to sync touch only would sync about 100 songs or so. then would get an error 50 "could be sync because of unknown error 50". shut down itunes tried again, got maybe another 50 songs then unknown error 50 shows up. now it will show up only on a few songs and then stops all together. tried to sync new songs to classic and worked fine. tried touch again same thing, error 50. it actually sync video (i only have one on there) and podcasts fine and it actually synce playlists but obviously are not complete because so many songs are not there but the names of the playlist appear on the touch. went to ipod store and they gave me another (still under warranty). same thing. sync few songs, get error 50 and stops. reinstalled itunes and reset touch. still not working. tried to manually sync was able to sync about 500 songs before i got to error 50 and then it stopped again. i have the most updated itunes and the most updated ipod touch software. does anyone know what else this might be? i am walking around with two 32 gb ipods just to hear my music. i bought the touch to upgrade but i feel like my classic is just better. it has all my music on it.
