I rented a movie via Itunes on my PC but half-way through the download recieved a "An unknown error has occured (-50)" notification. This is not my first rental, and I have verified my network and all connections to be good. I have rebooted Itunes and resumed the download of the movie only to receive the same error code. Has the movie file been corrupted? Can I recover the rental even though the time has elapsed? Will I be charged?
Did you figure this out? I haven't rented a movie in this new iTunes yet and saw one tonight I wanted to rent. Same fricken thing is happening to me. I hate this new iTunes, and I really hate that there are problems like this....why the heck do they have to fix something that isn't broken and break it? This just really stinks.

Hey I bought an iPhone off gumtree and everything was well. But then I tried to set it up and it asked for the apple if of the previous owner and so I asked him for it his Apple ID but refused to tell me so I can not use the phone. how do I fix this?

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Sounds like something internal was damaged in the fall, probably the disk drive. Take to Apple and ask them to fix it.

After disconnected all the computer peripherals and trading computer desks, today I can't get the two LaCie external drives to mount. They were working yesterday, but not without problems. The 1T is hooked up for Time Machine, and it ran continually yesterday. Today it isn't mounting. The 4T showed on my mac desktop, but an error message stated it wouldn't mount. I'm not super computer savvy and really need some help. Also, the 2T g-drive is working without any problems. My iMac is an older 2008 24" aluminum model. It has been working well, but gets very hot in back. What should I try now?
How have you been connecting these drives to your iMac? USB?
Have you connected them back to your iMac the same way they were connected before? Including making sure they have the power they need?
If all the connections are just as before, and all the drives have the power they need, have you tried shutting down your iMac and starting it up from a cold start?
If you still have trouble I would ask whether you shut everything down correctly before disconnecting/unplugging/powering-down the drives. Unfortunately, it is possible that some of the drives were not disconnected or whatever in the proper manner, and, so, have become corrupted. (I'm hoping not, for your sake. However, even if so, such can be recovered, but it will take more expertise than you seem to claim for yourself.) -

Well there's not much more to say. The phone has been working just great! I have everything on it and now out of the blue! Screen goes black and it's a brick. The OS is 7.0.4

I rented a movie to play on my iPad. With 28min remaining the picture froze but the counter kept running. No sound. I tried everything....I reset my iPad...logged out of iTunes and logged back in and opened movie. It stopped at the same spot the next time

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

We just moved from the United States to Costa Rica. The first two days my mac worked great. Then all of a sudden I was trying to use a game application and the screen went black and there is a white cursor which I can move around, but I can't escape it. When I restart it seems okay and I see my main screen, but only for a second and then it goes black again.

No, if you rent a movie on anything other than your computer it can only be watched on that device. If you want to watch it on multiple devices, rent it on the computer then it can be transferred between devices, but can't be moved to more than one device at a time. -

You can but the method varies depending on the Apple TV that you have.

To rent movies from the iTunes Store on your computer
In iTunes on your computer, click iTunes Store.
In the iTunes Store, find a movie you want to rent.
Click Rent. Your rental should begin to download immediately.
Once the rental is downloaded, you can watch it on your computer or transfer the rental to a supported iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV (1st generation):
Connect the device and select it in iTunes.
Click the Movies button.
Select the movie, and then click Move.
After all movies have been moved, click Apply in the lower-right corner of iTunes.
You must be connected to the Internet to transfer a rented movie.
If you have Apple TV 2nd gen. or later you can use Airplay to play it on your tv through the Apple TV.
