i update my ihone 3gs 16 gb phone, after i update the phone i coudnt activate the phone. it says there is no sim card even sim card is inside there. and i take out the sim n put another sim and still its says same thing.
Sounds like your iPhone was previously hacked/modified/jailbroken
and the update has relocked it to the original carrier. You will have
to contact that carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Only the wireless carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Where did you acquire this iPhone? What wireless carrier do you use?

That's almost always because the phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.

You can only obtain warranty OR post warranty service in the country of original purchase
As your iPhone has user damage it has no warranty
IF the iPhone originated from Spain or another EU country you can get out of warranty service in any EU country -

You need something with 2x PCI Express 6 pin connectors.
If you have enough 4 pin connectors left over after hooking up the rest of your computer this might still work though, if you use some adapters. They require two 4 pin connectors to power one 6 pin. I recommend looking inside your computer and figuring out which connectors you will need.

I brought an iPhone 4 online, and I erased everything from it and have entered my simcard and started to set it up but it requires the last users apple id and password but I don't know them and I can't get hold of them, is there anyway of going round this?
You cannot activate the phone without the password of the previos owner. I am sorry for you, but there is no other way.

Just updated my 4s to iSo 6 and now the phone does to pair with my Lexus anyone have/solve this issue? Is it a firmware problem with the car?
Was it pairing before the iOS update?
If so, delete the pairings in the device and the car, then try again.
If it was not, the issue is most likely the car. -

Somehow my iPad got switched for messaging to showing from my email. There is no option showing to use my phone number. How do I get it back to my phone number? This happened when I upgraded my iPhone today, but the iPhone messaging is using the phone number fine. It's only the iPad messaging that is messed up. Help, pls.

Paid for iPhone 4 but was not sent the phone from apple
I have had the worst service in my life with apple reps and upper level managers at many different apple numbers and e mail letters in the past month I will never advise anyone to deal with apple ever .I have spent the past month waisting my time trying to get my I phone 4 I had sent a postal money order in to apple for. And no word of a lie I have spent a obout 50 hrs trying to simply get my phone I was told was on it's way over 2 months ago and that they had gotten my money order and I should receive the phone in with 2 weeks . I even ended up sending in my copy of the postal money order to apple for the last time I called in they had no record of anything to do with my order. And now 2 months later I have no phone and sent everything I have to do with this order into the Austin Texas apple office I was given and now after waisting so much time and money i still don't have my phone. This is the most awful service I have ever had in my life and I am so angry from beeing treated like this I am going to make it my duty to let everyone I know and post this everywhere on the Internet about this . I have never gotten this sinister about anything in my life mainly because I have never been treated as the customer comes last anywhere but with apple.
That was the adress given to me by 1800myapple to send the postal money order to. And I hav spoken to the Canada office as well as many other offices to try to figure out why I'm down almost 1000 and still have no phone I ordered

HT4623 ive tried to update my iphone 16gb but it freezers on the instalment why?
my mum got given a iphone 3gs 16gb for christmas and it needed updating to 6.1.0 so we updated it but it just freezers when installing it all the screen is just the apple sign with a loading bar and stops half way thru can you help??
If you did a backup of the device prior to updating, you should not have a problem. What was the error?

I'm trying to update my iphone 4s but can't find the "software update" option on my phone.
In all of the instructions it indicates to go to settings, general, and then software updates. When I go to settings, and then general.....there is no software update option for me after that. Any idea as to where that would be? I've never "updated".

First, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer (11.x). If you connect the phone to a USB port directly on your computer (NOT to a USB hub) and it still doesn't appear in iTunes you need to troubleshoot iTunes.
