Hi, I was wondering if anyone has encountered this?

I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro. Since I've installed Mountain Lion, the following has happened twice. I shut off the computer, sometime later turned it on and during startup (right after desktop appeared) it shut off. No reboot loop, nothing like that, it simply shut off. Both times I entered into safe mode by holding Shift key. In safe mode I basically did nothing, just rebooted the computer, and voile, it is working like charm now.
What do you think this is? In disk utility I checked all my partitions - no error was found on any.... What my concern is if it happened twice, it'll happen more (since I don't know what the cause was, nor what fixed it). Any ideas?

Could you please look into this log? I believe the crash must be in it somewhere...

When, if it comes on it blurrs and fades out after a couple of minutes the screen also jitters and dies often. I have this happening to me too... it is frustrating enough for me to pitch my computer out the 4th floor office window. I found somewhere on these forums a solution which worked for me, but only for a short time. I'm back to having this stupid glitch. Anyway, the "temporary" solution seems to be to boot into Safe Mode by holding the Shift button down when you hear the startup chime, then let go when you see the Apple logo on the screen. You'll see you've done it right because it'll say Safe Mode somewhere on screen (upper right hand corner?). Restart again normally and your Mail should be free from these weird demons, but they'll be back.

since I updated from 3.1.3 i have noticed that the AT&T bars look odd. they really dont make that perfect incline like it use to. is that just me or anyone else notice this? could it be the update that changed how they look now?

When I try to update itunes, it tells me that itunes can not find a pathway to my computer. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and how to resolve it?

When i plug my iphone into my computer and try to sync it with my itues library, a message comes up saying I can't sync until i update itues. When i try to update itunes, a message pops up that says itunes cannot find a pathway to my computer and it tells me to find a pathway. I have no idea what this means and i have played around with it for weeks now. Can anyone help me??

Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package." Then when i click ok a message that pops up says "The path cannot be found. First, select sender(s) as VIPs. Then the VIP category will appear.
To select a sender as a VIP, open an email from that sender, then hover over their name and a star icon will appear to the left. Click the star, and that sender will be set as a VIP (and the category will appear in the pane on the left).

Once I transfer the word document to the iMAC it's displayed right except that now the caps and the Tab keys don't work, which they were on the MBP. All the word documents on the iMAC now have a problem with those keys. I was thinking that it might just be the keyboard itself, but its odd that only two keys are not functioning and that's why I was thinking the drive was responsible. What I didn't do was disconnect the keyboard and then reconnect it through bluetooth. Anyway, the whole thing is strange and I have to do those two things manually and that bothers me because right now I publish books about cancer. Thanks for the response. If you set up your wi-fi router to establish a network, then both your printer and MacBook Pro will connect wirelessly. *** I do not know what kind of router you possess, I don't want to suggest things that might not be relevant.
