Hi, i was wondering when i plug my iphone to my mac book why don't its syc it?
I wantd to know why when i plug my iphone to my mac book why don't it sync to my computer?
you would probably get better help if you describe your problem a little better, but check your settings in itunes and see if 'automatically open itunes when iphone is connected' is checked, and also if you have itunes set to sync automatically or manually.

Hi- I keep getting an error message show up when I sync my iPhone to my Mac Book Pro. the message is that I can't copy to the Macintosh disc because I don' have enough access privileges. Then when I click ok my phone gets stuck syncing. any thoughts?
Sounds like a possible permissions issue, try repairing the permissions using Disk Utility.
You can open Disk Utility several ways.
1. Use the Spotlight in the Upper Right corner of the screen and search for it, then click it to open it.
2. Open a new finder window (File> New Window)
- Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
3. Click on the Finder
- Click 'Go' in the menu bar across the top of the screen.
- Click Utilities, then double click on Disk Utility.
Once Disk Utility is open there should be a column on the left side, the name of your hard drive should be listed there.
(By Default it is named Mac HD or Macintosh HD)
Click on it to highlight it.
There should then be a few buttons you can click
- Verify Disk Permissions
- Repair Disk Permissions
- Verify Disk
- Repair Disk
Click Repair Disk Permissions -

WHat do I do if my iPhone 4S won't sync to my macbook pro, and my phone doesn't seem to upgrade to itunes11.1? The upgrade should be on the iTunes upgrade page, but there's no icon.

You should be able to transfer them again with whatever camera photo program you have on your computer. I use Picasa 3 to manually select my photos for transfer. -
ITunes does nothing when I plug my iPhone in
I have an iPhone 5 32GB, a 2007 iMac 24", Mountain Lion 10.8.4 and iTunes 11.0.4 (4).
When I plug my iPhone into my Mac, absolutely nothing happens. If iTunes is closed, it doesn't open. If iTunes is open, no iPhone button appear in the top right corner and nothing changes in the sidebar.
I have also tried plugging it into my PC which has iTunes installed, and then the iPhone button does appear, but I don't want to sync it on that machine - I want to sync it on my Mac.
Any ideas?Hey,

The rest of the message in the pop up window says "To prevent damaging your computer, the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices may have also been disabled. When you disconnect the device drawing too much power, your other USB devices will be enabled again."

My iphone 5 was stolen today, I had it backed up last week, can I restart this back up on my other i phone which is i phone4? how can I do that because when I plugged my iphone 4 to my laptop it backed up automatically and I can't seem to find the older back up or maybe I don't know where to find it?

Not with an update.
With a Restore, you do lose the data but, as part of the update procedure, you are given the opportunity to back up that information. Say "Yes" and later, when asked if you want to load from the backup file, again say "yes." -

The condition of your current phone has nothing to do with upgrading to a new phone with your carrier. You aren't trading it in - you keep the old one. It can be smashed to bits and that won't matter.

Keep in mind that just because a device may not be upgradeable to the latest iOS release does not mean it cannot continue to work just fine on the last update it did get. There will be many devices that were incompatible with iOS 7 that will continuing to work just fine on iOS 6 for a long time yet. There are many people still using their iPad 1 despite the fact it stopped getting iOS updates after iOS 5.1.1.
One way to safeguard your apps against future incompatible versions is to keep a backup of all your apps in iTunes on your computer. That way, if an update to the app comes out that is not backwards compatible with your iOS, you still have a copy of the last version of the app that was compatible with your device and your iOS release. -

To date Google has not made available a chrome book that has the hardware that can support full fledged desktop applications.
If it were to do so the cost would be much much higher.
The plus of chrome book is the usage of "cloud" apps. But then, that is also the minus eh.

There's a place for both but one must take the time to understand the parameters (the + the -) of each.

I just plugged my iPhone into my Mac. I got this pop up - The iPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. I went to the address and updated my Mac but the pop up still comes up - I can't find out if they mean my iPhone needs to be updated or how to update it if that is the case.

If you recently updated your iPhone to iOS7, you will need to update iTunes on your computer to iTunes 11.1 or newer for it to correctly recognize the iPhone. You may find the following link helpful:

my itunes will not open at all. it occasionally will open but when i plug my iphone into it the program freezes and crashes. please help as soon as possible
i think i might have a solution... i have windows vista and after i installed to latest itunes update everytime i tried to open it it would freeze. I tried everything, including uninstalling itunes and all of its components and reinstalled it numerous times. So i went to the itunes folder in my folders, not on itunes, and i deleted my itunes library and playlists. After that it worked just fine, all of my music was deleted but luckily i had my files saved elsewhere.
I hope this helped! I know its frustrating and APPLE/ITUNES NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!
